Space Station Day Nursery is a purpose-built nursery in Droylsden, built with the care and development of children as highest priority. Built into a modern bright and inspiring day nursery with ample parking, the nursery is sure to be the right choice for you and your child.

Space Station Day Nursery offers excellent facilities. Each room creates an environment that has been designed with a focus on the unique needs of children.

There are a number of additional features that enhance the nursery facilities including an area for parents to relax and have refreshments while visiting, and ample parking and drop-off zones.

Basic day (09:00-16:00): £55.50 per day
Extended day (08:00-17:30): £305 per week, £64.00 per day
Early bird (07:30-08:00): £4.00 per day

Lovely staff and management. Always helpful and caring, never had any problems. My 2-year-old son loved attending this nursery, and he really liked his key worker - amazing and friendly. He loved taking part in all the interesting activities, and he grew in confidence so much. Cannot recommend enough.

Both of my kids were going to Space Station Day Nursery. They quickly got over their fear of separation from their parents and started enjoying their time there. The friendliness of the staff is outstanding, and they always come up with new ideas to help children's development.

Absolutely amazing. So thankful to every single person who works here and has been there for my daughter. They’re so smiley. So caring. So welcoming. Check-in. Polite and kind. My daughter is just about to move up to the Launchpad and has spent 2 happy years in Space Station Day Nursery with the wonderful staff led by the ever amazing manager. She is developing into a beautiful, cheeky, confident young girl thanks to the love and care provided by the team.
We have used Space
Station for both our daughters and can’t recommend it highly enough. Special shout out to the manager for going above and beyond all the time!

My little girl has been going to the nursery for just over four months now, and she absolutely loves it. The staff are very friendly and welcoming - can’t thank them enough for helping settle my little one into the setting and for making it even easier for me and Dad, knowing how safe, happy and content
she is attending this nursery makes a massive difference to a lot of parents. Would recommend the nursery to anyone and everyone.

My son has been coming to Space Station for around nine months now. Although at first, he did cry when coming in due to it being a new setting, the girls in the waddler room are brilliant, really thorough with their work and provide good meaningful activities for him to learn from, and he soon settled
in and is now happy to come to nursery every day. Now he's two, I'm looking forward to him moving into toddlers to further his development with children his age. Also, if I've had any concerns or queries, management has been very efficient in dealing with these.

My daughter started attending nursery here in January 2023. I can not thank and praise them enough for what they have done for my daughter with her speech, language and overall communication, as well as her eating has massively improved. I was very worried at first about sending her to the nursery,
but now I am so, so glad I went with Space Station. Her key worker is also the most amazing person I could have asked for her to be with, and she always asks to go and see her in school; again, I can’t thank them enough.

The nursery is full of lovely staff who treat my daughter really well; they are kind, welcoming and very approachable.
My daughter was very shy at the beginning, and the staff welcomed her in and made her comfortable - now she looks forward to attending nursery.

My twins have been going to nursery for a year now. The nursery wasn't new to us, as our older boy was in the nursery for nine months till he left for the other place. So our twins followed as it is an amazing nursery - the staff are excellent.
Twins settled in quickly with the help of nursery practitioners.
Now, whenever we go to pick them up in the afternoon, they are not ready to come home. Twins are premature, and they were behind in their development and milestones. Within a few months of going to nursery, they caught up with the full-term babies. I couldn't be prouder of them. And really thankful to the staff for helping them reach their milestones. I was never stressed about sending them to the nursery because I knew they were in good hands.
Unfortunately, we are moving to Edinburgh, leaving in two weeks and will be really sad to go. Thank you for all the support and for looking after my three precious kids.

As an SEN parent, it’s really nice to see their child enjoy going to nursery so much. My daughter smiles every time she gets dropped off. The nursery staff are amazing and hands-on with the children and really do a lot behind the scenes to make sure the children are getting any extra support they need.
The manager is really kind, caring and really involved in what goes on in each room, and it’s really refreshing to see. They have helped my daughter so much already, and I really can’t recommend this nursery enough.

My son is nearly three and has been at Space Station since he was ten months old. He has progressed through the rooms, and he has therefore been cared for by different team members, and we have nothing but good things to say about them all. The best thing is, in my opinion, the app and daily updates
you get on food/naps etc, particularly when they are settling in. They have helped my son come on so much in various areas, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other parents, and I am looking forward to my daughter starting too later this year.

My boy started nursery in September at 11 months last year. Honestly, the transition from maternity leave to work, and the nursery was scary, to begin with for me personally. We initially booked a tour to see the nursery pretty early to ensure we can book a space. We were honestly blown away; the nursery
was the clean, modern and friendly staff, the app on the phone and much more. Honestly, I am lost for words with how much he has come on. We are in 6 months since starting nursery, and he absolutely loves it; he no longer cries on drop-offs. He confidently goes into the baby's room with a big smile on his face. His speech has come on so much, as have his walking and all his motor skills. I am honestly speechless. He is such a crafty little toddler now, and I could not thank the staff enough for everything they do for our boy. It is honestly the best feeling knowing how much he loves the nursery and how well he is cared for. We will always be grateful and he absolutely loves his key worker and all the baby staff.

Absolutely incredible nursery which has been part of my family for 4.5 years, looking after both my children and they both love it here. The staff are amazing and seeing the bond my kids have with them, reassured me, Space Station was definitely the right choice.

We have been here for over a year now, and my son absolutely loves it. I can't sing their praises enough honestly, from the get-go we were both comfortable and eased into nursery life. The staff are amazing, the facilities are perfect, and my son adores going and has come on leaps and bounds under their
supervision.
As a first-time parent, I was so unsure of the benefits of the nursery but honestly, I don't regret a single thing other than not doing it a little sooner! We will be sad to move on.

My daughter started at Space Station earlier on in the year due to me moving her from a previous nursery that had many flaws. That is not the case with this nursery. The manager is so professional and knows her job so well, which reflects in her staff. They are all so lovely and welcoming, and nothing
but your childrens best interests are at the forefront. My daughter runs into the nursery with pure joy on her face - that alone puts me at ease. The app is a great piece of mind; you are able to see what your child has done during the day, from what they have eaten, slept etc. I am due to have another baby in the new year and don't have any apprehension about them joining Space Station.

My daughter started Space Station in May this year after I had to go back to work after maternity leave. It was not only a huge change for her but also me, but the staff were nothing short of being amazing during the transition; they reassured me most days that she was doing well. It made the process
so much smoother. I knew that she was in safe hands. The girls in the nursery have been absolutely amazing! I honestly can't thank them enough for all their hard work looking after my daughter. Since starting Space Station, we can see a huge difference in her fine motor skill and also her communication skills; she has come on massively since starting! Her key workers have changed during the time she has been there, but they have made the transition so perfect that we know who to contact, and if we have any questions or concerns, it's handled right away! The manager has been nothing short of fantastic as well! Honestly, you should all be so proud of the work you do!

Hi, I'm Kim. I am Level 4 qualified, and I have 25+ years of experience in Early Years. I have worked in various roles throughout my career as a Nursery Assistant, Room Leader and Deputy Manager. I have been in a management position for over 13 years. I have been with Space Station since we opened our doors in July 2017, and I've really enjoyed building my team and nursery over that time and seeing us go from strength to strength. I also have other roles within the nursery as Safeguarding Lead and Lead SENCO, so I oversee the support of our children with additional needs. The thing I love most about my job is that no 2 days are ever the same, and being around children, they always give you a reason to smile. Early Years are important years for any child, and knowing that my amazing team contribute to that is why I love what I do!
