Thank you for everything you do!
Thank you for your lovely review; we are so pleased to hear how happy you and your child are and how we helped you with your return to work from maternity leave.
Absolutely amazing! My little girl loves it here, she has additional needs and all the staff have been brilliant with her, especially her key worker and the manager! Honestly 10/10 in every area I honestly couldn't think of one fault. I and my daughter are very happy here.
My 2-year-old daughter started nursery at Space Station in January, and it’s the best decision for her I have ever made. The staff and management are amazing. As my little girl is a lockdown baby, it took her a little while to settle in at drop-offs, but the staff made both her and myself find the whole process really smooth. She absolutely loves going now, and her speech and understanding have come on amazingly. They have a really good app where they tell you all that is going on during the day, and you can message and speak to any member of staff instantly to settle any of Mum's nerves! I would recommend them to anyone. Amazing, amazing place.
Really take the child's needs seriously and accommodate for allergies and skin conditions. The staff are really friendly, and my son is always happy and settled in perfectly. The nursery is great with security, so I can take my son knowing he will be 100-per cent safe.
My little girl has been going since she was two and she has come on leaps. They noticed a problem with her speech and got right on with it. Every time I pick her up, she comes out with a smile on her face.
My son, who’s 2-years-old, has been at this nursery for over a year; he started in babies and is now in waddlers; he loves it, staff are amazing with him. He does 3-days and shouts at the key worker as we enter the car park. There’s an app that keeps you updated, so you can check how he’s doing during the day.
My 10-month-old daughter was halfway into her settling-in session when I had a phone call to come in to help settle her as she was still distressed. I arrived at the nursery to be told by the manager that my daughter had been upset but also some of it was out of “temper”. I stayed in the baby room for the remaining hour, the staff were more concerned about what they had done at the weekend, there was no consoling of upset babies, no stimulation whatsoever in regards to play. One member of staff kept on telling a little girl ‘no’ because she was getting a toy out from a different area to where she was going to play. I asked if they sang or played nursery rhymes and I was told they do so, the reason I asked was because the room was mind-numbing, no wonder there were babies struggling to settle in. Another member of staff proceeded to tell me that her job is stressful and she doesn’t enjoy it. This is clearly not a stimulating and positive environment that children should be thriving in.
We would like to thank you for your honest feedback on your experience during your settling-in session. We can assure you that we have taken your comments seriously and that this isn't our usual practice. Our staff have been spoken to and are now undergoing an observation process to ensure our standards remain at the highest level to deliver the best childcare possible.
At the moment, the nursery has some newly born chicks, and my little one is amazed and always talking about them.
Fantastic nursery.
My daughter has been attending Space Station Day Nursery for two months and she absolutely loves it! The staff are brilliant and have helped her settle in so well. There are plenty of activities and good structure. The staff give frequent updates via an app so you can have piece of mind of what the little one is doing throughout the day. I would highly recommend this nursery.
The place is welcoming and fun for the children. It’s a lovely nursery and my daughter has loved it.
Thank you Space Station.
My child started the nursery in January 2019. It was a transfer from another nursery, as we moved in Droylsden Area, so I can compare.
First impression: Friendly staff which were showing the premises, explaining all details of the child routine.
Fees: Average in area, we paid even £50 less/month in comparison with the previous nursery.
Security: Fingerprints on entry and in each group. CCTV camera in each group and outside. On entry a monitor where you can see what your child is doing.
Premises: Every room has plenty of activities for play and development for different ages, benches for colouring, blocks, kitchens etc. Outside outdoor slides, bikes, scooters. A wonderful garden, where kids were planting vegetables and plants.
App: a wonderful app with child’s pictures, videos, daily observations in development and performance, an app where we can check what our child had for dinner, how much.
We have regular updates from the nursery via the app, from pictures of her making cakes and crafts to reading books with staff in the circle and playing games with the other children. Each development milestone is logged so we don’t miss anything new and we are often amazed at the varied meals and snacks she gets to try which she thoroughly enjoys.
I swear, every day she eats better than royalty, comes home covered in some concoction, and is flat out all night from enjoying her days at nursery.
When are you guys going to be opening on weekends?
The nursery itself is very clean and organised, there’s always a good mix of healthy foods on offer for the children. This nursery is an excellent choice if you are considering it.
When my son started in April this year, I was very nervous about leaving him. The staff were very welcoming and have looked after my son so well. He has come on so much with his speech and he can now count to ten and can say the days of the week as well. I would highly recommend Space Station to everyone who needs a nursery for their children. I would just like to say thank you to all the staff that look after our son.
My son has been at this nursery from being around 14 months old and from the very first day it has been great. As a parent, it is always daunting leaving your child at such a young age but I always felt confident he was in good hands with friendly and attentive staff. There is CCTV and fingerprint entry which is even more reassurance for any nervy parent leaving their child for the first time. The nursery are always having activities each month and have some characters from animated children's TV programmes visit the children. Staff are absolutely brilliant and are always enthusiastic about telling parents what the kids have been up to and anything new they have been doing. My son is now in pre-school and has some little friends. He is confident in his environment which is great to see and makes me feel reassured the nursery are doing all the right things to prepare for when he starts school. I recommend this nursery to everyone in the area - it is 10/10

Meet the Team (1)
Hi, I'm Kim. I am Level 4 qualified, and I have 25+ years of experience in Early Years. I have worked in various roles throughout my career as a Nursery Assistant, Room Leader and Deputy Manager. I have been in a management position for over 13 years. I have been with Space Station since we opened our doors in July 2017, and I've really enjoyed building my team and nursery over that time and seeing us go from strength to strength. I also have other roles within the nursery as Safeguarding Lead and Lead SENCO, so I oversee the support of our children with additional needs. The thing I love most about my job is that no 2 days are ever the same, and being around children, they always give you a reason to smile. Early Years are important years for any child, and knowing that my amazing team contribute to that is why I love what I do!
