Space Station Day Nursery is a purpose-built nursery in Droylsden, built with the care and development of children as highest priority. Built into a modern bright and inspiring day nursery with ample parking, the nursery is sure to be the right choice for you and your child.

Space Station Day Nursery offers excellent facilities. Each room creates an environment that has been designed with a focus on the unique needs of children.

There are a number of additional features that enhance the nursery facilities including an area for parents to relax and have refreshments while visiting, and ample parking and drop-off zones.

Leaving our son's nursery is bittersweet, but we couldn't be more grateful for the incredible experience he's had here. The staff at Space Station have been like family to us, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that's helped our little one thrive. From the warm welcomes every morning
to the thoughtful activities and care throughout the day, we've been consistently impressed. The dedication and love shown by the staff have truly made a lasting impact on our son's development. While we're sad to say goodbye, we'll always cherish the wonderful memories created here. Thank you to the amazing team at Space Station for everything you've done for our family. This is an outstanding nursery. my son has come along so much since he started here last year, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Also, his key worker is amazing with him; they have formed a special bond, which is lovely to see. Overall, I would recommend this nursery to everyone; it really is
a great place to send your children. I am going to miss him going here, and I’m sure he is too.

Since both my children started Space Station Day Nursery, they have both come on leaps and bounds, every member of staff is amazing with all the children, they help with their needs and extra encouragement with day-to-day basics. Couldn’t thank them enough and I highly recommend anyone to this nursery.

Lovely, friendly warm atmosphere, staff are very professional, my daughter needed lots of support from staff when going into nursery, when leaving Mum and Dad she got very upset, the staff were amazing with how to deal with her and as she attached to one member of staff the other girls always tried
to make that staff member available when my daughter was going into nursery to make the pass over as calmly as possible for my daughter... so thank you to management, nursery room girls and cook for making our girl lovely hot meals. My daughter will miss you all so so much. you are all superstars. Written from Mum and Dad.

Can’t fault this nursery one bit. My little girl has been going for a year now and started in the baby room where the staff are absolutely lovely. I was so nervous sending her to nursery as I’m a first-time mum and didn’t know what to expect but the ladies looked after her so well and were also there
to support me and Dad if we had any questions. They would encourage her so much to hit the milestones and even after being there for 2 weeks she had done so much. Now she’s in the waddler room and again, the girls are great with her. They’re so supportive in and out of the nursery. There have been times where I’ve mentioned I’ve been struggling with something particular like behaviour or eating and they have given me support in that specific area and given me different things to try and it’s been great. I have absolutely zero concerns sending my little one there and she absolutely loves it!

My little one has unfortunately picked up a few illnesses that have been going around so his time at the nursery has been a bit stop/start. However, the staff are excellent and friendly. This generates a warmth around the place which has helped him to settle in despite him having breaks from the nursery.
They all seem to have a genuine affection for all the babies which is nice to see. Updates and photos are put up on the app so you can see what your little one is up to.


Behind the scenes, it is well managed and you are always kept informed about what is going on and queries are handled quickly and efficiently. You are also kept informed of various schemes available which is very handy. As for the ratings: As my child is a baby, I don't know the Outside Space, Learning, Resource / Equipment / ICT but you are forced to give an answer.

Absolutely lovely nursery. Staff and management are so welcoming and made not just my daughter, but myself feel so comfortable and settled. You can tell staff go above and beyond to support the children's development and do extra to help them learn. Staff always update the app throughout the day and
even sent lots of pictures while my daughter was settling to ease my mind and show how much of a good time she was having.
The nursery itself is very welcoming, with cameras for the rooms in the hallway and lots of resources for the children to play with indoors and outdoors. My daughter's development and confidence have come on so much since starting all thanks to the staff and her lovely key worker! After working in nurseries myself I couldn't recommend the Space Station enough, it's like a home from home.

Our son has been with Space Station for just under a year and we have had a really fantastic experience with them. The staff are all extremely caring and communicative, particularly our son’s key worker and the manager of the nursery, who have both been extremely professional and responsive whenever
we’ve needed to contact them and they provide frequent updates on how our son is doing and general developments at the nursery. The children are always being engaged in a variety of activities and staff go above and beyond to organise fun events and build a sense of community. The facility is always spotless, you can see the attention staff put into the cleaning at the end of the day, and the food provided is nutritious and varied. Our son absolutely loves his time at nursery, he’s made so many friends and developed such a range of skills with the help of the staff. Can’t recommend this nursery highly enough.

The staff at Space Station Day Nursery are amazing! The manager and all her staff go above and beyond for the children in their care!
My little girl has attended the nursery from being 9 months old and to say I was worried about her going would be an understatement!
But, the care my daughter was given
(and me haha) is second to none! Totally put my mind at ease and the reassurance, pics, messages while my daughter settled in were amazing. I wouldn't bat an eye about recommending the Space Station to other parents! Thanks for everything!

The best nursery! The staff are just amazing, they listen to parents and are so supportive with everything, my daughter loved her time here and she learnt so much. She settled in so quickly. The staff are constantly updating the app on nappy changes / food that has been eaten / development, including
photos etc. I would recommend this nursery to everyone, my daughter has now moved to the pre-school over the road and absolutely loves it.

I was very happy to find a place at Space Station Day Nursery close to the house. My daughter has been with them since September 2022 and she is always happy going into nursery every morning. She settled in well and I was impressed with how the staff warmed up to her. The management were friendly, lovely,
caring and supportive. The environment is neat and they have enough space for kids to play.

My little girl starts her new chapter at school in September, but just want to leave a review for Space Station where she first started her journey, from day 1 the staff were fantastic with her, she felt comfortable almost straight away, the manager was amazing with her and to this day my daughter still
remembers the manager and the staff, they really did help her grow and become the child she is now, our little boy had started at Space Station and again loves his time there, I highly recommend Space Station and launchpad.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2017

Hi, I'm Kim. I am Level 4 qualified, and I have 25+ years of experience in Early Years. I have worked in various roles throughout my career as a Nursery Assistant, Room Leader and Deputy Manager. I have been in a management position for over 13 years. I have been with Space Station since we opened our doors in July 2017, and I've really enjoyed building my team and nursery over that time and seeing us go from strength to strength. I also have other roles within the nursery as Safeguarding Lead and Lead SENCO, so I oversee the support of our children with additional needs. The thing I love most about my job is that no 2 days are ever the same, and being around children, they always give you a reason to smile. Early Years are important years for any child, and knowing that my amazing team contribute to that is why I love what I do!
