Space Station Day Nursery is a purpose-built nursery in Droylsden, built with the care and development of children as highest priority. Built into a modern bright and inspiring day nursery with ample parking, the nursery is sure to be the right choice for you and your child.

Space Station Day Nursery offers excellent facilities. Each room creates an environment that has been designed with a focus on the unique needs of children.

There are a number of additional features that enhance the nursery facilities including an area for parents to relax and have refreshments while visiting, and ample parking and drop-off zones.

Extended day (08:00-17:30): £305 per week, £64.00 per day

I want to express our deepest thanks to the entire team at space station- baby room for the incredible care you've given our daughter. She joined at just 9 months old, and we've been amazed at how beautifully she has settled in. It's clear she feels secure, happy, and engaged-and as parents, that means
the world to me.
She is truly thriving-hitting her milestones, growing in confidence, and showing so much curiosity thanks to the nurturing and stimulating environment you've created. I anm especially grateful for the way you support her exploration through well-planned activities, and how attentive you are to her individual needs.
Your communication with me at the end of each day has also been exceptional. The thoughtful handovers keep us connected to her journey and show just how much care goes into every part of her day.
Thank you for being such a positive part of our daughters early development. I feel incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated, caring, and professional team.

Absolutely fantastic nursery, the staff are really amazing at their jobs. I was really nervous about my son who has higher needs starting nursery, as he is quite delayed with his milestones. But since starting he has really started to blossom and come into himself, and the progress he is making is outstanding
to see. He is also very thrilled and excited to go in, that excited he forgets mum and dad and runs straight in! As a parent it's really beautiful to see my son thriving thanks to everyone who works at Space Station. Would recommend this nursery to everyone.

What a brilliant nursery. My child was a bit unsettled at first but has come to absolutely adore the nursery workers and staff. They are all so welcoming and caring and have made my child feel so at ease. The onboarding was great and I feel very confident with my child being brought up here.

My little boy started in the baby room in January and has come on so much. He has settled in amazing and learnt so many new things already and become a lot more sociable. I couldn't thank the staff in baby room enough. One staff member has done an amazing job at helping my child settle in. The staff
have all been a massive part of that too. They are all so polite and welcoming too. I love hearing what they have been up to and have had for dinner as he eats like a king there. I will most definitely be enrolling my next baby and recommending space station to others. All staff in baby room are an asset to the nursery and I couldn't fault them for a single thing. My child has been at the nursery for nearly a year. She loves going and has come on so much since starting. All the staff are lovely and very caring towards the children. You get regular updates about your child's progress and the things that they are working towards next. You get daily updates about
what they have eaten and nappy changes. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

I couldn't have picked a better nursery for my child, after finding it hard to be away from me he has gained a brilliant relationship with all the staff and his key worker in particular and is now more confident than ever, they have come on leaps and bounds since starting this nursery and I am very
please with everything about it. The communication is great between staff and parents, constant updates on the app throughout the day which reassures me, my child, is settled and having a good day, updates on nappy changes, toilet visits and snacks and dinner are a great piece of mind for a worrier like me.

Space Station was a great choice for my daughter. She had been at a childminder from 6 months old and I was very nervous and anxious about her going to a nursery. My daughter did take a while to transition but the whole team were so supportive in that transition. Communication was amazing, altering
certain routines for my daughter to accommodate her and also supporting me. My daughter has thrived at the nursery and she now loves it. She has a key worker who she loves and understands my daughter really well. We have updates regularly, pictures and meetings so I can fully understand my daughter's progress and what she is doing. Great team and a great nursery. Special mention to one staff member in particular who has been so good with my daughter and is an asset to the team.

I can't recommend this nursery enough! All the staff are incredibly nice, and the manager, is especially helpful, particularly with any issues related to free childcare. She is always accommodating and goes out of her way to assist.
My son is in the Waddler room and absolutely loves it, especially
the meals provided. The staff are so patient, attentive, and genuinely caring with all the children. A special shoutout to two staff members, who are assigned to my son and always go above and beyond to ensure he's well looked after. We couldn't be happier with our experience!

Since my child started nursery here in March 2023, she has come on leaps and bounds! She loves her time at nursery 4 days a week, has come out of her shell so much and loves playing with her friends. The girls always look after my child and support when needed in anything specific such as potty training.
I would always recommend this nursery to anyone!

My older son used to attend Space Station Day Nursery and now my younger is there as well. I think this says all, they are amazing with kids, very patient and flexible.
My kid's progress can be seen and as a parent could be happier with the experience. Myself and my Wife can rest assured that our

My son has attended Space Station since he was 4 months old and choosing this nursery was the best choice I could have made for him. His experience in every room has been exceptional. The key workers know my child very well and give key updates as to his progress and next steps including tips for things
to work on at home.
My son is developing above his age level and has built fantastic relationships with peers and staff. The communication is excellent, the curriculum is considered and implemented effectively and creatively so the children continually build new skills while enjoying themselves.
My son will be moving to preschool soon and though I am sad, I know that he is ready and the transition will be perfectly planned, as all others have been.
I could not recommend Space Station more and there would be no words to thank them for everything they have taught my son and the love and care they show daily.

My son has been going to Space Station since September 2023 and joined when he was just 11 months old so I could return to work. As most mothers, I felt really nervous leaving him at such a young age and with people I didn't know but the staff have really put my mind at ease. They have been so understanding
of my wants, needs, routine, etc and are all so friendly and approachable. The frequent updates via the app are really comforting and it's so nice to see what my son is doing throughout the day. I feel like the team genuinely cares about my son. My son absolutely loves going to nursery! His development has progressed so much and this is definitely due to the great staff, their curriculum and being around other children. I would highly recommend the nursery.

My little boy has been at Space Station since he was 9 months old he's now 3 and ready to move over to pre-school. I cannot rate the nursery highly enough the care and compassion from all staff throughout the years have been amazing, he's thrived and learnt so much, he's always happy to go and will

You just can't fault this nursery and I've heard different options. But when you have kids that attended here and are happy and comfortable with the staff, you know you made the right choice!
My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 1 year old! She adapted very quickly due to the staff's
kindness. They were always there to comfort her if she needed it. Thank you for all your support and care that you offer to our children.

I sent my baby to Space Station Nursery when he was 1 year and 4 months old. I was so worried at first as my baby had never been away from any of our family members, not even 1 minute. I was very worried if he could settle well at nursery, being away from us for the first time. The nursery staff are
well trained and experienced in handling this kind of situation. My baby did cry a bit in the beginning. He quickly settled in and has been enjoying his time at Space Station! Parents are always well-informed through the nursery app and phone calls. I get updates about what and how much my boy has eaten if he has had a nap or had a poop. Teachers often send updates with pictures about what the children have learned in the classroom.
Everyone at Space Station is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Space Station to any parents!

Amazing toddler room especially one lady, she has been amazing! I don't want him to leave the toddler room! The communication is amazing between parents and staff all staff are very welcoming and put you at ease straight away! Would 100% recommend Space Station to anyone.

My son has been attending Space Station since January 2024. He was 9 months old when he started and settled in so well. When he started he couldn't crawl, or walk and was not the best eater. Since being at the nursery, he has developed so well and is now crawling, nearly walking and is a great eater!
His key worker provides regular reviews which is great to hear about his progress. I like the easy nature of the app and can get updates throughout the day on his eating, sleeping and movements. All the staff are friendly, give great advice and support him to develop. The secure nature of Space Station is one of the reasons I chose here and this has not disappointed me.

When it was time to go back to work I decided after viewing Space Station that it would be perfect for my daughter. As a first-time mum, I was very nervous about leaving my daughter, staff made me feel very at ease during the transition period, I was given updates and a detailed handover when picking
her up. Now 3/4 months on from starting my daughter has come on so much, the staff are absolutely brilliant with her and I can see she has created some really positive bonds! My daughter enjoys all the great activities/learning sessions they do and she is given a varied diet/new foods to try that she may have not tried at home! Best decision I ever made and can't thank the staff and management enough for how amazing they are with my daughter!

Hi, I'm Kim. I am Level 4 qualified, and I have 25+ years of experience in Early Years. I have worked in various roles throughout my career as a Nursery Assistant, Room Leader and Deputy Manager. I have been in a management position for over 13 years. I have been with Space Station since we opened our doors in July 2017, and I've really enjoyed building my team and nursery over that time and seeing us go from strength to strength. I also have other roles within the nursery as Safeguarding Lead and Lead SENCO, so I oversee the support of our children with additional needs. The thing I love most about my job is that no 2 days are ever the same, and being around children, they always give you a reason to smile. Early Years are important years for any child, and knowing that my amazing team contribute to that is why I love what I do!
