Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Hanwell provides an engaging learning environment where children can enjoy free-flow play.

The nursery has a garden area and staff encourage children to participate in outdoor learning at every opportunity, while the nursery also runs regular Forest School sessions for pre-school age children.

Children can enjoy weekly French lessons and music and movement session, as well as regular outings in the community to help widen their understanding of the outside world.

The staff at the nursery work in partnership with parents and run a parent forum where families can share comments and make suggestions and feel part of the nursery.

all nursery staff are very helpful and kind when ever I need help they are always there if I have problem with something or need they are there since my son started he he progress a lot thanks to hard working staff

Our child is very happy to start the day. It shows that the staff care and provide great activities and structure in the day.
It really helps that included is breakfast, lunch, snacks, nappies and creams.
Highly recommended!

The attention to care and development my child gets at Hanwell Hungry Caterpillars is outstanding. Not only that but the time and space Sahra and the team provide to me and my husband to ensure that our requests for our child is always welcomed. Sending your child to nursery is a big step for 1st time
parents, it is even a bigger step if you child has special needs. The most important thing for us is the people taking care of your child and at Hanwell we truly feel our child is getting the best care. It is safe to say that the team here have taken extra special care to ensure our child is included, happy and gone to great lengths to support us with her development and extra support needed. All of this while making it a fun and lovely place. I genuinely look forward to dropping her in every morning as I know she loves it so much! Thank you Sahra, Mehan, Sagal, Amy and all the team! Our son started at Hungry Caterpillars Hanwell in November when he was 9 months old, and he's really enjoying his experience there. The staff have been wonderful - you can really feel the warmth and care as soon as you walk in - and his key worker in particular has been fantastic, he loves her!
The
team were very flexible when he first started as we tried to work out the best sleep and feed schedule for him in his new environment, and were happy to try out different options and change up his routine until we found something that worked best for him.
Now that he's fully settled in, he seems to be thriving - always smiles on drop off and is really happy when we pick him up.
We always enjoy getting the updates on the app about him and about the Baby Room, and having the daily updates around his food, sleep and nappies is reassuring too.
We're definitely happy that we made the decision to enroll him at HC Hanwell, and think he is too!

My son has been attending Caterpillars Hanwell since September 2025 and he's thoroughly enjoying himself. The staff are incredibly professional and my son has developed a lot since starting nursery.


However, I'm holding back on giving five stars because the nursery's update is quite limited. They

usually upload pictures once a week but sometimes there aren't any picture of my son at all. This makes it difficult for parents like me to know what our children are up to. More consistent and frequent updates would give parents greater reassurance about their children's experiences.

Our first son went to the nursery some years ago and it was an easy choise to stick with the same nursery for the younger one too. It is good to see how happily he always goes there. We also get regular updates and photos through an app, keeping us up to date what has been happening at the nursery.

My daughter started at Hungry Caterpillars when she was 11 months old and will stay there until she starts school in September. The staff at the nursery provide a home from home environment. I can drop my daughter and go to work with no worries. I highly recommend this nursery. My daughter can write
her name, is articulate and confident. The nursery staff have worked well with me to support my daughter and I am so happy we found this nursery.

We are so happy with Hungry Caterpillars Hanwell! We moved to the area and had to find a new nursery which was daunting as he was so settled at his previous setting, but the team really made an effort to get to know him, settle him in, and now I am so reassured when I see him excited to go in the morning,
and happily playing on pick up. The team seem to genuinely care about the children, they do lots of fun activities, leaning in to what the children enjoy and take interest in.

We had to move our daughter to a new nursery at very short notice and we are so pleased we chose Hungry Caterpillar Hanwell. The team could not have been more kind and supportive through what was a very stressful time and did so much to help our daughter settle in. She absolutely loves it there and
has formed such a good bond with the lovely staff in a really short time. We have been really impressed with the dedication of everyone there, the setting itself and how far our daughter has come in just a couple of months.

Couldn't love the staff more! They are all professional and most importantly they genuinely care about the happiness and safety of the children. Through the activities they plan, the food they serve and the cuddles they give. My daughter loves to now walk through the door every morning met with a smile

I can't recommend Hungry Caterpillar Nursery in Hanwell highly enough! From the moment my daughter started, she has absolutely loved it. Our daughter is very happy at Hungry Caterpillar Hanwell. She has been there for about a year now in the preschool room. Lots of lovely staff who seem to really care. Soon after we joined there was some staff turnover which unsettled things, but they dealt with it well and it now seems to be going really
well. They are flexible with extra sessions and supportive of parents. Vegetarian food not as good as previous nursery but not terrible.

I just want to tell you all what an amazing job you have all done with my little monster.
Since day 1, she has been cared for in the best possible way and you have helped make her the caring and loving girl you see today. Will be sad in September when she goes to school but she will go off knowing

I feel like, the teachers could do a lot better in greeting the mothers when they come to collect their children.
I feel like it’s just not there, like today I walked in and just felt really awkward.
I also want to mention that I never see my son in the pictures uploaded. It’s like it’s been a
whole month.
I am sure every parent would love to see their kid's pictures and what they are doing in nursery. Obviously not meaning every second but the weekly pictures, if they could cover all the children I think I would appreciate that.
Sometimes when I am asking a query I also feel rushed, I understand they have their hands full. I get told to check the app all the time. I am aware but to a certain extent, just say they had this but I don’t know how much intake he’s had please do check.
I don't normally want to know if he ate the full. I just want to know what he had.
I hope these things can be worked on. Surely not too much of an ask.

They look after my young son and he loves going! The staff all adore him, which is lovely to see. I trust the staff will do right by him, and from the photos I get on the app, it is clear to see he's being entertained well throughout the day.
100% would recommend it, in fact,... I already did!

My daughter has attended the Hanwell Nursery for approx 18 months, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The staff are all friendly and amazing, both of her key persons have been/are fantastic, and all the staff in the baby toddler room are too. They are always happy to discuss her progress and
her day and have provided great support and feedback during her time there; they were particularly great with her toilet training, always encouraging and giving me updates. My daughter is always happy when I collect her, the children are always participating in stimulating activities, and my daughter loves telling me about her day. The nursery has encouraged my daughter to be independent and confident, teaching her day-to-day tasks and has helped improve her social skills. She is currently transitioning to the preschool class, and again, the staff have been great, keeping me informed on her progress and ensuring she feels encouraged and safe going into a new class.
