Charley Barley's Nursery

My daughter is due to start school in September and I can’t thank Charley Barley's Nursery enough for the support and encouragement they’ve given her to get her ready for the big change. She is already very confident using a pen or pencil and her adding up is really good and this is not practising at home this is the preschool learning at Charley Barley's. My daughter really enjoys preschool and we thank Charley Barley's staff for making her experience so special.

Both my son and daughter have attended Charley Barley’s Nursery either now or in the past and I can honestly say they enjoyed every minute! My daughter starts school in September and the pre-school room have been amazing getting her ready to start.

Our youngest is in toddler room three days a week having been there since baby room. He absolutely loves nursery and has such great relationships with all of the grown ups there! Him and his friends have such fun every day, doing a wide range of activities including yoga and trips out and about. We feel very happy with our choice of nursery and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

My little girl loves Charley Barley's Nursery. She sings and skips in every morning and looks forward to the day ahead. There are always lots of activities going on and the team that look after her know her very well and what she enjoys doing and how to support her development. Communication is excellent and I can't fault them in any way. They have worked really hard throughout Covid to make the nursery as safe as possible for all the children and it is clear that the children and their happiness is top priority for them.

We've been with Charley Barley's Nursery for almost five years, our eldest having joined in May 2017 age 1 and leaving age 4 in September 2020 for school, and it will be six and a half by the time our youngest leaves in September 2023. I think it says everything that I will be devastated when the time comes as the nursery is honestly exceptional. The staff (many of whom have been there a long time, which says a lot too) are incredibly kind, warm and welcoming and provide such brilliant care and thoughtful and fun activities to help the children develop and socialise. They send updates and photos regularly which are always lovely to see. And the management work tirelessly to make it the brilliant place it is and are always on the end of the phone if you need to talk to them. Both my sons built strong friendships there and were, and still are, happy and settled. I would (and often do) recommend them to anyone who asks.

A lovely, well run nursery which we are more than happy to send our second child to (our first also had a wonderful experience with Charley Barley's Nursery). I feel the children are well looked after and their progress monitored and communicated to us.

My daughter loves going to nursery at Charley Barley's - the staff are all exceptional and all of them make an effort to learn your names and faces! They often focus on what your child likes to do and do plenty of activities with them!

Such a great nursery, our daughter loves going and she gets on really well with all the team members. The team members are all great, the management team are organised and we would highly recommend it. We particularly like how they taught our daughter how to do seemingly small things such as a trick to putting on a coat, but these things have a big impact on her confidence at such a young age. The children all get on really well and I think that probably stems from how well the nursery is run to an extent.

Charley Barley's is an excpetional nursery. The staff are incredibly caring and thoughtful. Highly recommend.

Outstanding staff across the different nursery rooms who really care about my child being happy and well looked after and supported to learn. I couldn't wish for a better experience for my child. Excellent overall management of the nursery too. I would highly recommend this childcare provider.

Charley Barley's as a nursery is absolutely fantastic, it’s like sending your child from home to home. The staff are caring, considerate, loving and so friendly, nothing is ever a problem, they go above and beyond for each child, nothing is ever too much. Having problems within my personal life the staff have been beyond amazing, they’ve accommodated everything, the support that they gave to not only my child at nursery but me as a parent I cannot thank them enough and cannot recommend enough. We moved out of the area for certain reasons however, I kept my daughter at the nursery and we travel in daily. During the pandemic, everyone got mentioned but nurseries didn’t and during the pandemic, as a key worker, I had to work, the care that they provided during a pandemic didn’t even phase them, they were amazing and truly hidden heroes that go unnoticed when they shouldn’t because they went above and beyond. I honestly couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.

We are so grateful to have found this brilliant nursery. We trust them with our kids implicitly and couldn’t fault them.

Sending my two children to Charley Barley's was the best decision I ever made. From the moment my children had their settle in days to their final year at the nursery they have always had a smile on their face, the staff always friendly and helpful. My two are always fed wonderfully cooked meals, talk of the exciting day they have had. It makes me so happy to know my children are happy. Thank you everyone at Charley Barleys.

My son has been attending Charley Barley's since he was 1 and a half. From day one, we were really impressed with the nursery facilities and most of all the warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Charley Barley's has made our son feel very happy and secure. He has blossomed at nursery and is very keen to go in. The staff communicate brilliantly with us, giving us regular detailed updates on our son's progress which has been invaluable given the Covid restrictions and the fact that we can't visit. Our son's confidence has really grown since he started attending Charley Barley's and he has had the chance to socialise and interact with other children which he has missed out on during the Covid lockdowns. In summary, Charley Barley's has been fantastic and I recommend them in the highest possible terms to any prospective parents.

We are so happy we chose Charley Barley's Nursery for our little girl. We visited a number of nurseries before making a decision and had a really warm and positive feeling about Charley Barley's and have not been at all disappointed. She started in the baby room when she was just 7 months old and has progressed through teenies and is now a 2-and-a-half-year-old, just started in the toddler room. All of her transitions have been managed brilliantly. The team are just the most warm, welcoming and lovely bunch of staff and we have always felt so happy that she is there. They provide lots of reassurance and information for parents and a really fun environment for the kids. Our little girl has made wonderful friends, is so polite, shares toys and has developed so many skills through being there and has all the opportunities for messy play that we can't/don't want to provide at home! Throughout the pandemic they were really wonderful and provided a calm consistency that we really appreciated.

I particularly like the staff, they are very friendly and chatty. Hand over is informative of my child's day. I love seeing what my child gets up to on the app with their regular updates.

My daughter has attended Charley Barley's for the past year and a half, I am always blown away by the hard work that everyone puts in to make sure that my daughter has a fun fulfilling time, I receive regular updates on the app and get to see inside the day to day of my daughter, the food they serve is really good quality with a wide variety of things on the menu (apparently she likes bagels a lot). My daughter is very high energy but the girls seem to channel it well and whilst providing a safe environment. I honestly couldn't rate it highly enough! Thank you for everything you all do!

I’ve had a child and children at Charley Barley's Nursery for over four years now and I’ve been extremely pleased with the care they provide for my children as well as the professional, flexible and friendly service to parents. I've been so satisfied with Charley Barley's Nursery that I’ve continued to send my children, number three is about to start soon even though I moved over eight miles away to another town, with plenty of nurseries of their own. The business retains its staff, which is always a good sign and it is a fun place which is strong on early years education. My children have been happy, stimulated and secure in their care and I cannot recommend highly enough.

Charley Barley's Nursery has been a fantastic part of our daughter's life since she joined in the summer of 2019. Our daughter has developed her knowledge, confidence and skills throughout her time at the nursery and most importantly she has fun and remains safe and happy. The positive impact of the nursery on our daughter can be seen at home and this is due to the activities and learning offered at Charley Barley's Nursery. It is evident from the feedback offered by staff and the reports on her development that the entire team know our daughter extremely well and can therefore support and communicate with her based on her own character and needs. The transitions through key stages have been seamless and always done when the time is right with clear and open communication with us as parents. The support offered over the past year following the impact of Covid-19 has been excellent and helped us as a family to get on with life at a time that has been challenging for everyone.
