The Abbey nursery school offer fantastic care for my son who has been attending since he was 9 months old. He gets loads of love, attention, stimulation and fun throughout the day. I like getting the daily reports so I can see what he has been up to and track his development and progress.
There are
plenty of toys and games for the children to explore in the rooms and the outdoor space is good too.
The chef makes lovely varied and healthy home cooked food and it’s very reassuring to know that he is so well looked after when I am at work.
I would highly recommend the Abbey nursery.

The Abbey is a fantastic nursery, our little boy has been there since it first opened and loves it there!


All staff and management show so much support and encouragement towards anything he does and he enjoys going.


He has made some lovely friends and tells me what he’s been doing after every

day!

My son currently attends Evolution @ The Abbey two days a week and we couldn’t be happier with the care he receives. He’s happy to be dropped off in the mornings and has had a fantastic day every time we pick him up. I like that the children play outside a lot and do tonnes of different activities that
you just wouldn’t be able to do at home, all whilst socialising with other children. The staff are very patient and caring and always give us a good run down at the end of the day detailing what my son has been up to. Would highly recommend!

Since my little boy started he always has such good fun. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Before my little one started I was so nervous to leave him to go to work, but all the ladies helped him settle right in and he is always entertained, playing and learning. A great menu of fresh food
is served and my little one eats everything on offer. Brilliant nursery.

My son has been attending The Abbey since last year and his development has come on so much. He thoroughly enjoys going and has great relationships with all staff. My son always tells me what he has been doing which reflects the brilliant planned activities the staff do.

My son settled into The Abbey very quickly and I believe this was due to the emphasis the staff placed on family bonds early on with the children. After only being at the nursery for a few months, my son no longer gets upset when I drop him off in the nursery, instead, he is keen to get playing with
the other children and staff. The staff are always very engaged when the children and the report we received is excellent and the standard of care brilliant. If my son is ever upset, he is always comforted by lots of cuddles. I know he feels safe and secure there, which is very reassuring for me as a parent.

My son has been at The Abbey now for two months and is settled and happy. I feel confident he is receiving great care and having lots of enjoyment whilst at the nursery. All staff are polite and friendly and I always enjoy hearing about my sons day at the handover when I collect him. Over the two months
that he has been attending nursery, his development has really come along and I believe he will have many fun years here!

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

I have been working for Evolution childcare for 15 years starting as a part-time practitioner. I worked within the Baby and Toddler Room, to begin with, working closely alongside my room manager to gain the knowledge and skills needed whilst completing my level 3 in childcare.


After a few years of extending my knowledge and experience, I progressed my career and became promoted to room manager in the early learner room where I continued to develop my knowledge. I then moved back to toddlers and completed a team leadership course to help me to manage a larger team. Shortly after being moved back to toddler, I was offered the position of health and safety officer which again extended my knowledge in a different area but also helped me within my room, I completed many related courses such as health and safety in the workplace, food safety, first aid and also child protection.


To keep myself up to date with the latest guidelines I also completed prevention training and managed a team which helped me to be successful within my role and resulted in me becoming promoted to Assistant Deputy Manager at the end of 2015. This promotion gave me the opportunity to learn the business side of the company and how it runs from a manager's point of view and I have been able to further my knowledge and skills in order for me to pass them on to my team.


I am currently completing my level 3 in business management where I am learning about running a successful business and I’m looking forward to putting these skills into practice now that I have now been promoted to Nursery Manager.
