The ladies are very caring and supportive, during a stressful and difficult time last month I needed to change a couple of pick-ups for my son, and the staff were accommodating and kind. Thanks all for the fun and learning my boy has.

Our son has been attending the nursery since he was 9 months old and is turning 3 next month. We joined right in the middle of the pandemic, and the staff coped with the restrictions so well and still managed to reassure us that all would be ok. He has thrived through attending the nursery, and all
of the staff make him feel loved and happy. The management is seamless and flexible, so as a self-employed mum, this is just so valuable. They send lovely updates via an app and share all the activities with us when we pick him up. I would very much recommend The Abbey Nursery to anyone!

My son started at nursery later than planned due to the Covid pandemic and was very uncomfortable in new social situations; however, he quickly settled at nursery (much quicker than I thought he would!) and now can't run in quick enough. The staff at the nursery are all friendly and welcoming and can't
do enough for him. His development has come on so much in the 14 months that he has been there. They also make sure that they keep me involved and that I know what he has been doing and how he has been, which makes me feel that he is being looked after and reassures me that he is happy there.
They provide a great range of activities for all of the children and a clean, safe environment.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending The Abbey Nursery.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. The staff are fantastic, extremely friendly and very welcoming, not to mention being very dedicated to the children. Our child has developed so much whilst being at the Abbey. She loves going in and even if she has a morning where she's not happy the staff reassure
her within seconds. The nursery is always spotless and the three meals a day they get are better than what we have at home.

Our little girl has been going to The Abbey for the last 18 months. She previously spent a few months at a nursery in a different area but moved to The Abbey when our family relocated. I was nervous about moving her to a different nursery and wasn't sure how she would react but the settling-in process
was surprisingly easy, which I think was mainly because the staff were so friendly and welcoming. She absolutely loves her time at The Abbey and as a parent, I am happy to know that she is in such a lovely environment. The staff are very caring and have been great in helping us to guide her through some big life moments such as learning to walk, the arrival of a new sibling and potty training. Her little brother will be starting at The Abbey in a few months and I am comforted to know that he will be in safe hands.

Highly recommend the nursery setting. My child has attended the nursery since he was 1.5 years old; he is now 3.5. In that time, he has really grown in confidence, and he absolutely loves attending, and the staff are attentive, caring and lots of fun. The activities are engaging for the children as
well as fun and safe. Yoga is a firm favourite, as well as PE and story time.

Our two boys have had a wonderful time at The Abbey. The facilities are fabulous, and the staff have been great. There are a huge range of different activities undertaken, and we have also really appreciated the community spirit, including a Saturday morning sports day which was great fun. Communication
is open, and there is detailed feedback about both the boys' progress that I have really appreciated. There is a good focus/mixture between playing and learning, and I feel both my children have really progressed under their care. The environment is safe and loving. The boys seem to love the food and it's very high quality. The cost is the most reasonable I've seen in the area and is good value. I would recommend The Abbey to anyone looking for a high-quality nursery for their children.

So happy I chose this nursery for my little boy, he is very happy here. Enjoys lots of fun activities. He has allergies and they are so careful which was very reassuring. The staff are all so lovely and kind. I get regular updates and pictures, via their app too which is nice, while I’m at work.

I have complete peace of mind, knowing my child is safe and happy at nursery! He runs in and has thrived since starting. Being a baby born in March 2020 lockdown, he was very reserved. Now he is a happy social little boy! All the staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help.
I love how I am
told each time I pick him up, how he has been and what he has enjoyed. Also, he has been difficult to feed and they always ensure he has something he enjoys. I'm very glad we chose this nursery for him and will be sending his sister when she is ready also!

Both of my boys attend The Abbey and my eldest has now been there for over two years. My youngest started at 7 months. All of the staff make me feel comfortable and confident to leave them. In every room there are girls my boys connect with and they really enjoy it. Both boys have grown in confidence
and I have noticed their development skills in certain areas, come on massively. I look forward to seeing the further developments in the next stages for them both with the team.

I am so happy that we decided to put our little boy into this nursery, he started when he was about eleven months old and he has come on so much in four months. I’ve recently changed jobs so needed to change the childcare hours and this was no problem and was sorted straight away. The staff are amazing
and treat our babies like their own!

The guys at this nursery treat our son as though he is one of their own. Absolutely amazing care and attention and they are very open and easy to talk to should there be any issue. I have recommended Evolution child care to my neighbour and now their daughter goes to the sister nursery.

My daughter transferred from another nursery following lockdown. The staff immediately put my mind at ease and we knew instantly we had made the right decision to move her. All the nursery staff are exceptional and know the children really well. It has a family feel and every member of staff is friendly
and inviting, my children love being there. The environment is beautiful and so well equipped. My youngest daughter also joined shortly after and the baby room is stunning, to find a nursery with a sensory room is special. I couldn't recommend highly enough!

The girls in the Baby room have been fantastic, I never expected my baby girl to be so excited to go to nursery each day. It brings a smile on a 1st-time mum's face to know I have chosen the right nursery.

My second child started at The Abbey at ten months old and settled very quickly. The girls in the baby room soon made me feel confident leaving my son with them as I was nervous about leaving him at a new nursery. I can tell my son is happy at The Abbey as he has made strong bonds with the staff and
beams at them when he sees them.
Management are also really helpful and supportive.
I wish The Abbey had opened sooner so my eldest could have gone to the nursery.

Bethan Kennish

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

have been part of the Evolution Childcare team for nearly 22 years, bringing a wealth of experience, stability, and continuity to The Abbey. Over the course of my career, I have completed extensive internal training and developed a strong knowledge of early years practice, policies, and day-to-day operations.


I hold a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, as well as a Level 3 Team Leader and Management qualification. Alongside these, I have gained a wide range of certificates, including safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, food allergy awareness, behaviour, and Prevent. These have supported both my professional development and my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and safety.


For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of serving as Nursery Manager. In this role, I provide supportive leadership to the team, foster positive and trusting relationships with families, and ensure that our environment remains safe, nurturing, and of consistently high quality. I take great pride in the work we do and in the positive impact we have on the children and families within our community.
