Always friendly and accommodating, allowing me to visit the assistants and room before moving up. Talking us through each progression.
Very compassionate, understanding and supportive of parents.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for the last two years and is very happy in the setting. She has made some great friends and often asks most mornings if she is going to nursery, as she attends two and a half days a week.

Our two boys have had a wonderful time at The Abbey. The facilities are fabulous, and the staff have been great. There are a huge range of different activities undertaken, and we have also really appreciated the community spirit, including a Saturday morning sports day which was great fun. Communication
is open, and there is detailed feedback about both the boys' progress that I have really appreciated. There is a good focus/mixture between playing and learning, and I feel both my children have really progressed under their care. The environment is safe and loving. The boys seem to love the food and it's very high quality. The cost is the most reasonable I've seen in the area and is good value. I would recommend The Abbey to anyone looking for a high-quality nursery for their children.

So happy I chose this nursery for my little boy, he is very happy here. Enjoys lots of fun activities. He has allergies and they are so careful which was very reassuring. The staff are all so lovely and kind. I get regular updates and pictures, via their app too which is nice, while I’m at work.

I have complete peace of mind, knowing my child is safe and happy at nursery! He runs in and has thrived since starting. Being a baby born in March 2020 lockdown, he was very reserved. Now he is a happy social little boy! All the staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help.
I love how I am
told each time I pick him up, how he has been and what he has enjoyed. Also, he has been difficult to feed and they always ensure he has something he enjoys. I'm very glad we chose this nursery for him and will be sending his sister when she is ready also!

Our daughter has been attending The Abbey for three months and we are so impressed with the staff, the facilities, activities and meals provided for the children. It is a pleasure speaking with the team who are so caring and genuinely interested in the children and who go out of their way to make everyone
welcome and supported. We are shift workers and the Abbey is so flexible and accommodates our differing childcare needs. Our daughter is so well looked after and we would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to others.

Both of my boys attend The Abbey and my eldest has now been there for over two years. My youngest started at 7 months. All of the staff make me feel comfortable and confident to leave them. In every room there are girls my boys connect with and they really enjoy it. Both boys have grown in confidence
and I have noticed their development skills in certain areas, come on massively. I look forward to seeing the further developments in the next stages for them both with the team.

I am so happy that we decided to put our little boy into this nursery, he started when he was about eleven months old and he has come on so much in four months. I’ve recently changed jobs so needed to change the childcare hours and this was no problem and was sorted straight away. The staff are amazing
and treat our babies like their own!

My son loves going to the nursery. He always comes out with a big smile and chatting about what he has done. He has developed so much since starting there. The nursery staff are lovely and very helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

The guys at this nursery treat our son as though he is one of their own. Absolutely amazing care and attention and they are very open and easy to talk to should there be any issue. I have recommended Evolution child care to my neighbour and now their daughter goes to the sister nursery.

My daughter transferred from another nursery following lockdown. The staff immediately put my mind at ease and we knew instantly we had made the right decision to move her. All the nursery staff are exceptional and know the children really well. It has a family feel and every member of staff is friendly
and inviting, my children love being there. The environment is beautiful and so well equipped. My youngest daughter also joined shortly after and the baby room is stunning, to find a nursery with a sensory room is special. I couldn't recommend highly enough!

My second child started at The Abbey at ten months old and settled very quickly. The girls in the baby room soon made me feel confident leaving my son with them as I was nervous about leaving him at a new nursery. I can tell my son is happy at The Abbey as he has made strong bonds with the staff and
beams at them when he sees them.
Management are also really helpful and supportive.
I wish The Abbey had opened sooner so my eldest could have gone to the nursery.

My little girl started here a few weeks ago, she's only 9 months old and I was worried about leaving her. The staff at the nursery have been absolutely fab, to the girls on reception to the girls in the baby room. On the first day, I got a little gift bag and an email at lunchtime with pictures of how
she was doing. It was such a lovely thought and really helped me to stop worrying. Every week now when I pick her up now she's smiling her head off. They made settling into the nursery really easy for both her and me.

My child attends 1 full day & a half day at this new nursery. We first visited on a recommendation from neighbours & since then have noticed many other local families attend & are satisfied & happy.
The staff are caring, kind, polite, friendly & warm & this is most important for our family.
They have
a range of fantastic resources & my child talks about & shows the things he has learnt there.
There is usually good communication between nursery & families. Lots of ways to interact: phone, email, in person, family & capture websites, notices.
Meals are cooked on site & are nutritious & of a good standard.
My child has bonded with staff & made friends & we have been happy with our choice.
Displays & themes are interesting & high value.
This nursery is an inviting, clean, stimulating, caring learning environment.

My little boy started attending Evolution Childcare @ The Abbey Nursery School when he had just turned 2 years old. He is now 3 and we have recently increased his hours to 2 full days. On the days he isn’t at nursery, he asks when he is going? He absolutely loves it there and has done since his first
day. His speech and knowledge have come on in leaps and bounds since he started there. He comes home chatting about his friends and telling us what he’s been doing there. The Abbey has allowed him to flourish by ensuring they tailor his learning by incorporating things he loves (in this case that would be dinosaurs!)


As my son loves it so much, we recently enrolled our 17-month-old daughter at The Abbey. We were slightly worried she wouldn’t settle in as well because she’s much wary than her brother, however, it was lovely to see her immediately start building a relationship with her key worker and she goes in with no problem!


I couldn’t rate The Abbey any higher, I think the staff are wonderful and the facilities great!

My 15-month-old has been at the abbey for 3 months. I’ve found every single member of staff lovely and I love that my little boy has formed such a close bond with his key worker. Every day we get a log of what he’s been up to and Christmas was made extra special with him coming home with things he had
made and pictures of him. Would recommend to anyone especially if your baby loves a cuddle like mine.

Choosing the Abbey Nursery for our son was the best decision we could have made, he's come on and progressed really well and enjoys his time at the nursery, you can tell the staff really do care about the children and the quality of care they provide, the nursery environment is of a really high standard
compared to other nurseries we viewed.


I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2008

I have been working for Evolution childcare for 15 years starting as a part-time practitioner. I worked within the Baby and Toddler Room, to begin with, working closely alongside my room manager to gain the knowledge and skills needed whilst completing my level 3 in childcare.


After a few years of extending my knowledge and experience, I progressed my career and became promoted to room manager in the early learner room where I continued to develop my knowledge. I then moved back to toddlers and completed a team leadership course to help me to manage a larger team. Shortly after being moved back to toddler, I was offered the position of health and safety officer which again extended my knowledge in a different area but also helped me within my room, I completed many related courses such as health and safety in the workplace, food safety, first aid and also child protection.


To keep myself up to date with the latest guidelines I also completed prevention training and managed a team which helped me to be successful within my role and resulted in me becoming promoted to Assistant Deputy Manager at the end of 2015. This promotion gave me the opportunity to learn the business side of the company and how it runs from a manager's point of view and I have been able to further my knowledge and skills in order for me to pass them on to my team.


I am currently completing my level 3 in business management where I am learning about running a successful business and I’m looking forward to putting these skills into practice now that I have now been promoted to Nursery Manager.
