Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-School is set in a large detached property on Albert Road, right in the heart of West Bridgford, with shops, cafes and amenities nearby and good public transport links including regular bus routes and Nottingham railway station. The nursery's most recent Ofsted inspection rated it Good across all areas, with inspectors noting children are developing positive qualities that will benefit them through school and beyond.

As a smaller nursery, Partou Leo's has a genuine home from home feel. The team get to know every child and family personally, creating warmth, trust and a sense of belonging that helps children settle quickly and feel secure enough to explore and learn with confidence. Ofsted recognised the strong relationships staff build with children, highlighting the real care and nurture shown with the youngest age groups.

Staff plan purposeful early years learning around each child's interests and next steps, with books and stories used throughout to spark curiosity and a love of reading. Tailored school transition support is also provided, with parents reporting older siblings arrived at school well prepared.

The large garden includes a dedicated nature area, and the nursery sits directly opposite Bridgford Park, extending outdoor learning further. Freshly prepared nutritious meals are served daily, with mealtimes used to build social skills and independence.

If you are looking for a nursery in West Bridgford with a nurturing atmosphere and a dedicated team, Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-School is well worth a visit.

Both my sons have attended Leos nursery and we've been really pleased with it.

We were initially attracted by the homely atmosphere, and I feel that this has been a lovely, caring environment for them.

The outdoor space is good with shady trees so they can be outside even in sunny weather.

Communication

with parents was an area that needed improving, and the weekly updates are now really good to see.

Overall we're really happy with our choice of Leos.

Fantastic childcare - genuinely friendly, enthusiastic team - great atmosphere - happy children! We have used this nursery continuously for the last 9.5 years and have never found the experience to be anything less than exemplary. Many of the staff have been there throughout and our three boys adore
them!

Leos is a welcoming and friendly nursery of the highest standard. Our son is so happy here and we are continually impressed by the home from home atmosphere and the dedicated staff.
Activities are varied and often revolve around the outdoors and creativity which is great for learning and development.
Daily diary updates keep us informed of developments etc. The food is freshly prepared, plentiful and healthy...our son always eats well at Leos!
The care, warmth and understanding provided by staff to our son and to us as parents are truly outstanding and we have always felt reassured that he is attending a nursery which is so clearly providing a caring and supportive environment.
We love the weekly newsletter which keeps us in touch with all the nursery activities and offers an insight into all the fun that's being had!
We would highly recommend Leos to others, without a doubt.

Both my children enjoyed Leos immensely. The staff were really great with the children and always seemed happy to be there. The food was always really great and I remember enjoying the parent's samples left at the bottom of the stairs very much. We will always have great memories of Leos.

Leos is a friendly, homely nursery based in a converted house. Both of our girls have enjoyed/continue to enjoy their time there and the nursery prepared our oldest daughter well for school - in terms of being able to care for herself; being confident with others, and starting to learn letters and numbers.
Our daughter (and us!) was well supported in toilet training. Leos has a lovely garden and the children spend a lot of time outside, including trips to the nearby park. Our daughter also enjoyed the externally provided tennis sessions.
The nursery is flexible in accommodating particular needs and requests, for example in switching days, making payments etc.
The nursery is well located in central West Bridgford. With no car park, parking can sometimes be a challenge but we have never found it too much of a problem.
Overall we have been happy customers for the last 5 years and would recommend the nursery to others.

Invoices could be improved as it is hard to understand.
Getting charged when your child does not attend due to holidays is not fair.
Otherwise, very happy with Leos. A great team. Activities are great and children just love it.

I only pick my step-daughter up occasionally, but I am always so impressed at what she has been up to during the day and how much she has come on over her time there. She is always talking about what she has been doing at nursery and all of her friends.

All the staff at the nursery have really made an effort to get to know our daughter, get to know her routine and understand what she likes and dislikes. They've made us feel confident leaving her in their care by recording what she's been doing in the day, any issues and some nice personal touches
like when she has taken steps or said words. This all adds to the personal feeling we get from the nursery as a whole which is in a nice setting and feels very much like home.

Excellent nursery and staff, right through from the manager to the carers and chef. Leos is a caring and nurturing environment that focuses on our children's happiness. A personal approach, with experienced staff who genuinely care about the children. The manager also regularly interacts with the children
and doesn't just stay in the office as seen in other nurseries, which is great.
Childcare is expensive and I would, of course, love it to be cheaper, and that fees aren't increased, but I never feel that Leos simply exists to take our money (again like some other nurseries), with the children always being placed first by the staff.

Overall I can't recommend Leos highly enough.

Really friendly staff who care a lot about the children. They take a great deal of care to settle them and to engage the children in activities they enjoy and that stimulate them.
The staff are always happy to listen to concerns and ideas.
The food is excellent, good variety and quality.
There's
lots of time outside in the lovely garden.
It's a very homely atmosphere and we have always been happy to leave our children there, even when one of our children took a really long time to settle.
Reply from Maddy, Marketing Manager at Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-schoolWe are glad, even though it took time for one of your children to settle, that you still persevered and now have two happy children at Leo's. Thank you for a lovely review and we will continue to work hard to make Leo's a wonderful place for your children

Leos is a Lovely nursery, brilliant staff and a very happy environment. Very happy leaving my child who was very scared but settled in due to the staff and how they adapt to each child individually.
They are very loving and show each child attention. My child is very happy at Leos.

My son and daughter have both attended Leos from 2010. The nursery is relatively small and has a home like feel, all the staff know all the children and my husband and I have always had a lovely rapport with the staff.
My children really love it and have developed fantastically. The nursery is always
making changes to their facilities and provision, sometimes big, sometimes small but always to improve.
I'll be genuinely sad when my youngest moves on to school in September!

Caring environment, nurturing and supportive. Lovely, approachable staff who clearly care about and enjoy working with children.
Excellent creative crafting and authenticity.
Sometimes children may need a bit more direction and encouragement to get involved in a wide range of activities rather than
just sticking with what they know.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.869 for Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (148 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.869
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 number of registered child places is 8.4, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
