Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-School is set in a large detached property on Albert Road, right in the heart of West Bridgford, with shops, cafes and amenities nearby and good public transport links including regular bus routes and Nottingham railway station. The nursery's most recent Ofsted inspection rated it Good across all areas, with inspectors noting children are developing positive qualities that will benefit them through school and beyond.

As a smaller nursery, Partou Leo's has a genuine home from home feel. The team get to know every child and family personally, creating warmth, trust and a sense of belonging that helps children settle quickly and feel secure enough to explore and learn with confidence. Ofsted recognised the strong relationships staff build with children, highlighting the real care and nurture shown with the youngest age groups.

Staff plan purposeful early years learning around each child's interests and next steps, with books and stories used throughout to spark curiosity and a love of reading. Tailored school transition support is also provided, with parents reporting older siblings arrived at school well prepared.

The large garden includes a dedicated nature area, and the nursery sits directly opposite Bridgford Park, extending outdoor learning further. Freshly prepared nutritious meals are served daily, with mealtimes used to build social skills and independence.

If you are looking for a nursery in West Bridgford with a nurturing atmosphere and a dedicated team, Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-School is well worth a visit.

Leo's Day Nursery - West Bridgford is doing an amazing job, given the pressures of the sector. My daughter's key person has a gentle but reasonable and age-appropriate approach and is always available for a chat. I like that it is a smaller nursery, where you quickly know everyone and the children can
mingle across ages and rooms too. It is not too fancy but the food is good and mostly homemade. Limitations are often due to a lack of time/staff (as everywhere in the sector), so sometimes a nappy is changed late and new staff learn the best approaches as they go along. My daughter absolutely loves it though.

Leo's has been excellent for our son's. Confidence, progress and overall development. We love the staff, the setting and the food he's been given. We could not have had a better nursery experience. We really felt the staff cared, which meant a lot to us. Excellent all-round.

Coming from a different part of the world, it was really a tense moment as a father to see how my daughter adjusts to a new environment. I am so grateful to Leo's Day Nursery - West Bridgford for accepting my daughter with such care and hospitality. The centre staff were so cooperative that we were
astonished to see our daughter getting attached to the nursery in a weeks time. There has not been a single day from the date of her admission that she refused to go to nursery, on the contrary, she would crave to go when she was ill.
On behalf of my wife and myself would like to say a big thank you and would highly recommend the nursery.

My daughter started Leo's in the toddler room and is now leaving to go to school. During her time here the staff have shown so much care and really had a positive influence on her development. She has been very happy here and I would warmly recommend the nursery.

Leo’s is such a lovely, welcoming nursery for the children. I am very pleased with how they have been over the past year with the current situation. My son, who is now 6, previously attended here and now my daughter does, who is nearly 2. The staff are very helpful and I couldn’t say a bad word about
it.

Our little boy has been at Leo's for over 3 years and the experience has been beyond our expectations.
The team are wonderful, kind and helpful and our son loves them all.
The environment is perfect and the balance of play and learning is exactly what we wanted for him.
I could not recommend Leo's
any more.

I can’t say enough good things about Leo’s. The key workers are attentive and get to know each child. Time is taken to get to know the likes and dislikes of each child, and drive learning according to their key milestones. There is a family feel about the nursery which is great for the children, and
gives piece of mind for the parents.
I feel safe in the knowledge that my child is being looked after and is learning above and beyond his abilities while he is there.

Staff have been very supportive, keen to provide a caring environment for our daughter where she and socialise, learn and enjoy herself. They have gone the extra mile to support the settlement of our daughter and have been open to sharing any positive and negative information which has increased the
trust we have in the nursery. They have even cooked different food for her when she dislikes the menu. I am very happy and grateful.

We have found the care provided by Leo's to be excellent from 10-months-old to almost 3-years-old. The staff all take time to forge strong relationships, and our son has always been particularly fond of his keyworkers as he has moved through the nursery. The staff are happy to give as detailed a report
as you read and are encouraging and supportive. They have helped particularly recently in toilet training, and as he is full-time, this leaves us little time to focus on this at home. Our son's past and present key workers are the reason we send him here.

Leo’s has a warm, family feel to it. Both the staff and the building create a wonderful nurturing environment. My daughter really struggles with separation anxiety and they have gone out of their way to reassure her and me. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Fantastic Nursery all round. My son is very happy here. He started at age 1 in the baby room which he loved. He is now upstairs and loves the activities they do daily and all the different rooms to keep him entertained. Very clean throughout. I would highly recommend this nursery.

If your are looking for a ‘home from home’ setting for your little one then this is the place. It’s small, friendly and like a family. My two boys are here, now 4 (started around 15 months) and 2 (started around 9 months) and they love it. It is the warm, dedicated staff that sets Leo’s nursery apart
from its rivals. They are like an extension of our family, the boys love them and they seem to genuinely enjoy their job and building relationships with the children. There is a low level of staff turnover generally speaking with the most loved members almost being part of the furniture! It’s small and cosy. It’s not techy and it’s not got the biggest outside space but my kids are very happy and I never worry about them.

My two children currently attend Leo's. My eldest, now 3, has attended since he was 6-months-old, and my youngest, now 1, has been going since she was 7-months-old. What struck me about Leo's when I was first looking for a nursery for my son was how homely it feels. Everyone knows each child so well,
even if they do not work directly with them. Every member of staff always seem to be passionate about what they do, and to really care about the children and enjoy their company. Both my children adore their key workers, with my eldest even being disappointed on days that are not nursery days! Thank you Leo's for taking such great care of our children.

Our second daughter has attended since 9-months-old and will be moving on to go to school in September. There has never been a day that she has not wanted to go to nursery. The staff have been wonderful and the environment warm and welcoming. They set up lovely activities that engage the children well,
the outside area is good and the food is brilliant too. It’s been a wonderful place for her to grow, make friends and have fun.

Leos Nursery is a lovely nursery for my kid, the manager and staff are all very nice, friendly and supportive, they are very patient and experienced towards my kid. The only downside I would like to point out is, I wish I knew more about what my kid is doing, how is he/she is, what was his/her food
and drink diary, behaviour and learning progress (through playing), and etc in the nursery. I understand the preschool class is extremely busy, so I am not talking about a report to parents on a daily basis, but maybe a monthly report? or a report after each term would be really helpful and appreciated by us.
Reply from Maddy Purchase, Marketing Manager at Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-schoolThank you for your review and the positive comments you have left about Leo's. In regards to updating you on your child's progress, all the staff at Leo's aim to keep you informed as to your child's progress at nursery, with daily and less frequent, but more detailed updates. We keep a folder of all children's development at Leo's which you are welcome to request to look at at any time and all staff members are happy to give you feedback at the end of the day. Obviously, home time can get busy and if none of the room staff are available, please feel free to see the ladies in the office who will be happy to help.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.869 for Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-school is calculated as follows: ( (148 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.869
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Partou Leo's Day Nursery & Pre-school is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 number of registered child places is 8.4, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
