Abacus Ark Nursery School Clapham

I can't recommend this nursery enough. My little boy has attended the nursery since he was 1 and after the initial settling in period, he has always ran in smiling, being embraced by the warm, friendly and energetic staff each morning. Miss Sarah and the rest of the staff are always open to answering any questions and (suprisingly!) never seem flustered or make you feel rushed. This has been so reassuring day to day and I feel very lucky to feel so confident that my son has the upmost care and is having fun! I've just had my second child, who I will be sending to Abacus once I return to work. Thank you team Abacus!

Our son has been in Abacus Ark for 14 months now and we have nothing but praise for them. The transformation we have seen in his development and social skills has really impressed us. The staff are so friendly and patient and the nursery manager really, truly cares.

One recent example is his potty training the last month. It has involved many, many accidents but not once have we been made to feel bad for it. The staff have persevered and he is finally there.

He is so well supported by his teachers, he gets to learn Spanish on Tuesdays and loves sports on Thursdays. He can now say Hola and Adios very confidently and can finally kick a ball!

The nursery is excellent.

The staff are superb. They're informative, professional and kind. We feel that our daughter gets the best care and her development has accelerated positively since joining the nursery.

Abacus Ark Nursery Clapham has been such a great addition to my daughter's care and learning since she joined in Dec'25. We couldn't recommend them enough. We have also experienced first hand the level of care they have shown our daughter through unwell times and from this it really showed more trust from us in them. Great staff and a great nursery.

The best Pre-school in London! Run by a team of professional, warm and energetic individuals who work hard to create a wonderful environment where children thrive. The staff pay attention to every detail from developing the child's personality, to varied nutritious meal plans and a focus on the children's individual needs & interests. They are a great support to me as a first time mum and know my boy almost as well as I do - they're a real extension of our team! My little boy couldn't be happier and he skips in each morning - the ultimate seal of approval.

I moved my daughter from another local nursery to Abacus Ark and it was the best decision I've made. I've seen what bad looks like in a nursery so can confidently say that Abacus is excellent on every level.

What makes it so special is undoubtedly the staff who create such a warm and nurturing environment. You really feel how invested they are in all of the children and their development. And the children love them back. My daughter is always talking about her teachers and can't wait to get back to Abacus when we go on holiday. There's also complete consistency and stability in the staffing which you often don't get at other nurseries which is all credit to the management and the way they look after their staff. The facilities, activities and everything else are also top notch. I particularly like how they focus on the children's emotional skills and interacting with each other (there's a wonderful camaraderie in my daughter's class).

Abacus Ark was recommended to me by a friend and it's been wonderful.

Crucially, Abacus Ark teachers genuinely love the children, taking an interest in their development even outside of nursery, giving parents detailed accounts of their children's days, working with parents on aspects that their children may struggle with.

A variety of activities are provided, from forest school to music classes, and parents are invited to teach the children to cook, talk about their professions, or read to the children.

The room themes change periodically, with content and decorations immersing the children in different topics, so that they get a richer experience that extends beyond mere childcare.

The nursery also took on the alphabet, numbers, writing, and bottom-wiping (yay!) with my child, taking some of the weight off us.

They could have more staff, as I noted that some best practices couldn't consistently be observed with so many children, but the care is great overall and I'm happy.

I honestly don't think there is a better nursery out there! The teachers are all walking angels.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Abacus Ark. My eldest has nearly completed it and my youngest has recently started in the baby room. The teachers are wonderful, the environment and support is fantastic - my daughter has made life long friends and i've never had an issue. The kids go in smiling and come skipping and jumping out. The extra curricular activities on offer is brilliant and we love the fact that they go out on trips - a very rounded and enjoyable start to their education.

We have had a really good experience with Abacus ark. We moved from abroad at the start of last year, and our son who didn't really speak or understood any English joined the pre-school of Abacus Ark. The staff has been really amazing to help him feel welcome and it took him just a few weeks to already feel at ease with his new friends and teacher. We were also very happy and impressed with the quality of the education provided throughout the years with a lot of very fun activities. Our daughter is also on the baby site of the nursery. So overall very positive ans I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son started at Abacus Ark at 10 months old, and now at 4 years old, I can confidently say it's been an exceptional journey. The growth in his confidence and development has been remarkable, thanks to the amazing team of teachers, some of whom will remain in his memory forever. Abacus Ark provides a wide range of fantastic activities, such as drama, forest days, music, play ball, and yoga, all tailored to support preschoolers' growth. I was also honoured to serve as the Voice of the Room, witnessing the dedication and care the staff put into creating a nurturing environment. Everyone at Abacus Ark is incredibly helpful, and the management team ensures everything runs smoothly. I'm so grateful for the positive impact this nursery has had on my son, and I highly recommend Abacus Ark to any parent looking for a nurturing, growth-focused environment.

Brilliant nursery with great staff. We sent our boy there back in 2021 to 2023 and now our daughter since last year goes there also. Very pleased with all aspects of the nursery. Great feedback on pick up and great communication via the app. Our daughter who is two even had a visit to the local firestation the other day!

Our son has been at Abacus Ark since he was one years old. He has developed incredibly in his time at the nursery. We as a family have been supported through all the stages and feel very happy to be a member of such a great community. Thank you to all staff and management.

Abacus Ark is a really lovely family nursery. We have a 4YO and 2YO working their way from the nursery site up to preschool and over the 2.5 years we have been here it has been very happy. Consistency and stable staff/management, varied activities and diet was very important to us and Abacus ticks all these boxes. Our eldest appears to be feeling confident emotionally and well prepared for her move to reception in the summer which is wonderful and something I'm very grateful to the whole preschool team for.

Both of my sons have attended Abacus ark over the last 5 years (so we have been from baby room to preschool twice) consistently it has been outstanding. The staff are wonderful, really caring and knowing the kids, facilities are fantastic, lovely engaging spaces and they are constantly coming up with new activities and ways to support, engage and develop the kids. Couldn't recommend more

Abacus have been brilliant for our son. He's very happy and has made great friends. He always comes out full of stories of what he's been up to. We have complete confidence that he's safe, developing and enjoying himself.

We are delighted with Abacus Ark Nursery School. The staff are excellent and caring. Our little one is happy when we go to the nursery in the mornings, and the staff are always with a smile. I love the extra-curricular activities: Forest School, Playball, Drama and dance. It is a family-run business. We are thrilled with the healthy menu, which excludes sugary items, unlike most nurseries and schools. This has had a positive impact on our child's. They created a second family. We will miss going there when she starts reception.
