Abacus Ark Nursery School Wandsworth

Our boys have been very happy at Abacus. The staff are so caring and kind and organise lots of fun activities during the week. I feel like they support the children really well at each stage from the baby room through to getting ready for primary school. Highly recommend!

The staff are amazing and a great place for my child to be. My child has learnt so much since being there and enjoys the activities. The food choices are good and it’s a safe environment.

My kid started nursery two months ago and I spent most of my days at the co-working space since you can use it for free and get free internet/coffee while meeting other parents. The staff coming in and out is very friendly so I actually look forward to dropping off and picking up my kid! Otherwise, you get updates through a phone app, a little bit like an online feed of your kid and it seems like he is having a blast every day. There is also sort of a recap of the day with data such as the number of wet nappies. What he has eaten and quantity, etc. Neat!

After a short, unpleasant experience with another nursery, I found Abacus Ark Wandsworth and my child has been attending for the last 2 years and a half. She’s usually very happy there, talks about her friends, there’s a lot of classes, yoga, rugby, cooking, drama, dance that my child loves. They call me immediately if something happened, if she falls etc, it’s been total peace of mind for me. There’s adequate structure regarding the daily activities, consistency, and relatively reduced staff turnover. They managed quite well during COVID in my opinion, keeping parents informed, closing only the minimum necessary, cleaning, etc. They innovate with the University events offering relevant chats about themes related to children’s nutrition, schools, mental health, etc. They helped and taught my child during toilet training, supporting this process, etc. And overall development as she’s a confident, happy child. Quite happy to be part of the community.

My daughter is happy, so I'm a happy mother! After a bad experience last year in Barnes, I didn't expect to find such a nice place for her. In addition, the parent area idea is excellent! I look forward to seeing it finished.

Excellent experience so far. The key workers are brilliant and have built an excellent bond with my baby. They regularly go outside. They update the app regularly. The Director resolves any issues quickly, I couldn’t be more impressed.

Our 2 children have attended since October 2021. Our youngest 19 months on start date has absolutely flourished and is so well taught and cared for, he has really opened up socially thanks to the school. His teachers are so kind, they do everything they can to encourage and support his development in all areas. Our eldest is now 4, he absolutely loves it and so enjoys the varied classes and activities offered (cooking, yoga, music, rugby, drama). I feel they are providing him a good springboard for reception in September. The only downside is that the school does not have a dedicated outdoor play area but they definitely make up for it with walks to the park (which our oldest tells us about constantly!). They are also in the process of creating an indoor soft play space which we are really looking forward to. We look forward to another couple of years here with our youngest.

We're extremely happy with the level of care that our daughter has received. We feel very comfortable leaving her there; she seems excited to arrive in the morning and is learning and developing quickly. The carers are excellent, communicative, and give plenty of feedback and reassurance. She's currently potty-training and they have been very supportive of that. Overall we are very happy with our choice to send her to Abacus Ark and would recommend the nursery without hesitation.

We have been a part of the Abacus Ark family for over five years now, with three of our children attending the nursery. We have always been so impressed by how friendly and professional the staff are. They approach each day enthusiastically and have always taken the time to focus on the individual needs of each child, supporting us as a family and helping build confidence in our little ones.

Been bringing the two kids for the last 3 years. Amazing staff, professional, and well organised. Daily review for the kids are received through the app and there is a new “community/parents” area which I love, to work and enjoy coffees!

My son started attending Abacus Ark Wandsworth in July 2020 when he was 8 months old. The settle-in process could not have been smoother or more natural. The communication with the management is very open and friendly. My son loves his teachers and peers and you can tell that the nursery environment is very calm and happy. The food menu is very complete and they eat healthy snacks throughout the day. We are very pleased with the experience at Abacus Ark and would highly recommend other parents to trust on Abacus Ark staff as they are amazing!

We love Abacus Ark and couldn’t be happier with the nursery. Our daughters have flourished under their care and truly enjoy going to nursery every day! The staff are fantastic. So kind, caring, and enthusiastic. They clearly adore the children and the children adore them. Both my children have been attending since they were 11 months old and love it. The nursery dealt with Covid-19 and everything it threw at them amazingly. I was initially concerned about there being no outside space but it isn’t an issue at all. The children visit the park daily and I believe they have more time playing outdoors in big open spaces than other nurseries with small outside spaces! We love it at Abacus Ark and highly recommend it! It is a gem of a nursery.

I have two girls in Abacus Ark, my 4yo has just left and my 18mo is still there. My 4yo had the most incredible experience throughout her three years at the nursery. All the staff have made her feel incredibly safe and happy whilst ensuring she is pushed to reach her potential. I could not be happier with the service we have received with both our girls from allowing us to use cloth nappies to understanding when we need a little extra support as parents! And my youngest happily walks into the nursery smiling and waving at the staff and her friends. We have regular review meetings to check their progress and help us through any issues. All the staff are professional, kind, supportive, and super friendly. The food is excellent, the setting is wonderful and the environment is super happy. It has been the best three years at Abacus Ark and my girls are super happy, well-grounded people and that is definitely not all down to our parenting!

Finally, the activities are so exciting, with yoga, football, music and drama classes all provided by outside expert practitioners.
