Ilaria is the Manager at Abacus Ark and has been part of the team since December 2017. She began her journey as a part-time Assistant and, through dedication and a passion for early years education, has grown into a key leadership role. Ilaria is known for her supportive approach, calm presence, and commitment to creating a nurturing environment for both children and staff. Her progression within the company reflects her strong work ethic and deep understanding of the nursery’s values.

Simona is the Deputy Manager at our Wandsworth nursery and a valued member of the Abacus Ark team. Originally from Italy, she studied Educational Sciences at university before gaining hands-on experience in a bilingual outdoor nursery in Prague.

After moving to London, Simona began working in a baby room, where she developed a strong passion for early years education. Since joining Abacus Ark three years ago, she has progressed through several roles, including Senior Key Teacher and Third in Charge, before stepping into her current position as Deputy Manager. Her experience across multiple settings has given her a well-rounded understanding of early childhood development and a strong connection to the Abacus Ark community.

Simona is known for her calm, kind, and supportive approach. She takes pride in being a secure and reassuring presence for children, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and independence as they grow.

In recognition of her dedication and impact, Simona was named a finalist for Deputy Nursery Manager of the Year 2025 at the National NMT Nursery Awards. She plays an important role in supporting her team and maintaining the high standards of care and education that families expect at Abacus Ark.

Sky is Third in Charge at Abacus Ark Wandsworth and one of the longest-standing members of the team, having been with the nursery since 2015. She began her journey as an apprentice and, through dedication, continued learning, and hands-on experience, has progressed into a key leadership role within the setting.

Over the years, Sky has developed both her knowledge and confidence, becoming a reliable and trusted presence for children, families, and colleagues. She has completed her qualifications alongside her work, demonstrating a strong commitment to her professional development and to the early years sector.

Sky plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, working closely with the management team to maintain high standards of care and education. She is known for her consistent, caring approach and her ability to build strong, positive relationships with both children and staff.

Her long-standing commitment to Abacus Ark reflects the values of stability, dedication, and high-quality care that the nursery strives to provide.

Charlotte is a Senior Key Teacher at our Wandsworth nursery and has been part of the Abacus Ark team since October 2023. She joined after graduating from the University of Portsmouth with a BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies.

After relocating from Hampshire to London, Charlotte began her journey at Abacus Ark as an Assistant in the preschool room. She soon discovered a passion for working with younger children and transitioned into toddler and baby rooms, where she has continued to develop her skills and confidence.

Charlotte is known for her caring and attentive approach, supporting each child’s individual development through thoughtfully planned activities and responsive care. She particularly enjoys working with babies, helping them build early relationships, develop confidence, and feel secure in their environment.

She also values building strong partnerships with families, offering reassurance and support as children settle into nursery life. Charlotte plays an important role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Alice is a Senior Key Practitioner at our Wandsworth nursery and a valued member of the Abacus Ark team. Originally from Bologna, Italy, she holds a degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Master’s in Pedagogy, bringing both strong academic knowledge and practical experience to her role.

Since moving to London in 2023, Alice has become an integral part of the nursery team. She is known for her warm, caring approach and her ability to support children through important early transitions, particularly during the settling-in period.

Alice is passionate about helping children feel secure, confident, and ready to learn. She takes pride in creating a nurturing environment where each child can thrive and develop at their own pace. She also values building strong relationships with families, offering reassurance and guidance throughout their child’s early years journey.
