My daughter had an outstanding experience going to the YMCA pre school.
All the staff were fantastic and went above and beyond for my daughter.
Everyday she was greeted with a smiley face!!
The manager is incredible organising trips to the beach, allotments and of course forest school!!
There
was not one day my daughter came away unhappy.
A fantastic pre school that I would highly recommend!!

Im absolutely delighted with the nursery! My daughter has really flourished here, gaining so much confidence and a genuine love for learning. The staff are amazing - warm, caring, and truly invested in each child's development. It's a huge contrast to her previous nursery, and she now genuinely looks
forward to coming each day. We're so grateful for the nurturing environment and can't recommend them enough.

We've been extremely happy with YMCA. The staff are warm, caring, and attentive to the children's needs. My son has thrived in their care and loves the various activities they have planned. The facility is clean and well maintained. Our favourite part is the regular updates and photos they share with
us, keeping us informed about our son's daily adventures. We feel confident leaving him in their care and would highly recommend YMCA to other parents.

The best pre-school.
Both my children have been lucky to attend and, I cannot recommend to anyone how incredible everyone at Sovereign pre school are. The staff go above and beyond for every single child and both of mine have thrived there.
My youngest who is at pre school at the moment has come
on so much and I'm just so grateful to all the wonderful staff for making it such a special and inclusive place. You're amazing!!

We're so grateful for YMCA nursery and the way they've welcomed our son with open arms. He has some extra needs he's not walking or talking yet - but the staff have been incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive every step of the way.

I highly recommend YMCA Sovereign pre-school if you are looking for a place to send your child. My daughter only attended the pre-school for just short of a year, and my only regret is not sending her here sooner.
My daughter had a smooth transition period, and immediately formed friendships with
children and staff in the setting. Her confidence has absolutely flourished and I am amazed by the difference that short time has made to my daughter's learning journey and self-confidence!
My daughter is now in reception class at school and is really enjoying her time there, although she still asks every day if she can go back to YMCA as it's the "best preschool in the world".
Highly recommend YMCA Sovereign pre-school!

Absolutely amazing preschool! The staff go above and beyond for every child. My daughter needed extra help in some areas and the manager made sure she got help she needed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and all the staff really do treat the children like their own and are friendly for parents
too. The facilities and activities provided here are brilliant, more than I have known at other settings. My daughter left to go to school this year, and she still always talks about the lovely ladies of YMCA!

Without a doubt the absolute best preschool. All the staff are incredible and care so much about each child. My daughter has just finished here to start school in September and they have all played a part in helping her grow. The time and effort they have spent building her confidence is out of this
world. I couldn't fault them at all, the trips, and activities they provide are amazing. I'm so pleased I have another 2 years with my son here.

There is always a warm prompt welcome as we enter reception and instant rapport as the staff greet each child. The staff are devoted to the children. They get to know the children very quickly and can match each child to his/her career instantly on arrival. They always spend quality time with parents/carers
discussing events of the day and behaviour of the child. They vert lunchboxes fro anything out of date and remove it and tell carers. The range of activities is enormous. The playing areas are very clean and spacious. The administration is efficient.
The staff show empathy, joy and humour.

We are so happy we chose YMCA Sovereign Preschool for our son. Great facilities and activities and wonderful staff. They take time to get to know children as individuals, and prepare them well for the next step. The preschool manager is excellent and ensures that there is good communication with parents.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this preschool.

We moved into the area in January and didn’t have a space at a school for our reception-age child (she wasn’t five until July, so was able to attend YMCA).
I contacted the manager at YMCA Sovereign centre on the off chance my daughter was able to attend. Understandably there were limited spaces due
to this being a last-minute move. However, I was blown over by the support and attentiveness of the manager and her team.
They did their best possible for our daughter, given our situation.
Accommodated to her needs and always had the warmest of welcomes for my daughter.
In the end, I did feel my daughter had outgrown this setting mainly because she should be in reception, not for any other reason.
They did the most amazing graduation ceremony and gave the most thoughtful and generous gifts that really touched me.
Thanks for being fabulous! Keep up the fantastic work you do.

My daughter left, and the nursery didn’t say goodbye, didn’t even acknowledge us after they knew she was leaving, we were told they wouldn’t be dealing with her assessments as she will no longer be in their care. However, I was informed that while my daughter is in their care it’s their duty of care!
My daughter always had scraped legs, and cuts, and I was never informed of how she got them, was never informed of any activities she’s done. The preschool has too many children and not enough staff. My daughter was also never changed, conveniently changed as I was about to collect her.

The staff and facilities at the YMCA Sovereign Preschool are excellent! The director is so caring and involved in the preschool, and she is genuinely interested in providing the children with the best experience possible and in the children’s general well-being. They offer loads of fun learning opportunities
for the children, and my son was always happy to go to school. I love that they had a baking day and offered gymnastics sessions during school. It is also great that they had the phonics programme that really helps to prepare kids for reception. The price is also very reasonable compared to other local nurseries/preschools. I am very happy I chose to send my son to the YMCA Sovereign Preschool and would definitely recommend it!

The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming and enthusiastic. They have made my daughter feel so welcome and from day one, she has been very excited about going to preschool. The staff at YMCA pre-school are so friendly, my little one loves them all. They go out of their way to make each child feel special. My little one’s favourite things about going to preschool are seeing her friends, playing in the garden and going into the soft playroom. Recently she has enjoyed learning
about Chinese New Year and made pancakes. The staff treat each child as an individual and offered to provide activities tailored to help my little one reach her full potential. The manager is friendly, competent and caring.

Our son started attending YMCA Sovereign Preschool in September 2020 and during the whole lockdown and Covid-19 climate we couldn’t have been more impressed with the care and education he has received. The staff go the extra mile even during these uncertain times to ensure the children are happy and
cared for. They manage to cater for each individual child’s needs both from an educational point of view and a social and emotional point of view. My son has always been happy there and even when he has been a bit wobbly they have known what he needs to ensure he has the best experience possible.

After recently joining, we have seen the supportive and caring staff help our three year old daughter settle in very quickly. The great facilities allow her to run off all her steam in the soft play and ignite her imagination in role play. Her conversation skills and vocabulary has developed in such

My daughter is still very clingy to us as she has not had much interaction outside of family members since the pandemic. I am very thankful that the staff at the YMCA has been excellent and very patient with my daughter and acclimatizing her into the environment. I can see growth in her behaviour as
she has become less shy towards strangers and I am very happy about that.
