The Old Station Nursery Bromsgrove is a purpose-built childcare setting located in Worcestershire, providing a secure and nurturing environment for children to thrive and build a strong foundation for their future. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The nursery boasts a 'home-from-home' atmosphere and offers plenty of opportunities for children to grow and develop into independent learners. The nursery is composed of four spacious rooms, each thoughtfully designed to cater to the needs of children at different developmental stages, equipped with age-appropriate resources that encourage them to take charge of their learning and development.

The 'Little Dreamers' room is tailored for infants aged around 0-6 months and offers a variety of sensory experiences with different textured equipment that promotes exploration and investigation of their surroundings. The 'Discoverers Room' is for babies aged around 6-12 months, where they continue to be encouraged to be independent and learn their first words while playing and communicating with their peers. The 'Explorers' room is where children aged around 1-2 years old start building friendships and learn essential skills such as letters, numbers, and colours.

The Pre-School room is for children aged around 2-4 years to engage in various areas of learning, such as messy play, physical education, construction skills, mathematics, and sensory play. The room also focuses on preparing children for their next stage of learning at 'big school' and works with families to ensure each child is confident and ready for this crucial milestone.

Outstanding nursery. They really go above and beyond to help and support you and your children. Highly recommend. No problem is too big, and I feel my child is safe and well looked after. I feel my son has come on so much being here - couldn’t be happier

This nursery is fantastic. My son loves attending and has made some lovely friends. He loves all of his teachers. The management has been great in supporting my family when we needed to increase his hours at short notice.
The activities are great and the newly refurbished garden, and I can tell they
do lots of reading, as he always talks about the new ones he learned. Great location too in the town centre. Highly recommended.

My First Friends Nursery is fantastic. My son has been going there full-time since he was 9 months old and loves attending. All of the teachers are so kind, and friendly & give their full attention to every child. They also bring in 3rd party entertainment, such as singers and dancers which my son loves.
They have a great outdoor space and an app that keeps you up to date throughout to day including photos, which as a working parent, really appreciate knowing that your child is enjoying themselves.

Very friendly and caring staff. My son started the nursery at 12 months and then he would always cry around people because I had never left him alone before, but he’s such a social butterfly now, he’s always happy always eager to go to nursery. He got better with his feeding and sleep routine. They

Brilliant team in Dreamers and Discoverers.
My child absolutely loves all the teachers in these groups. It’s good the team is relatively stable and children have a chance to bond with their teachers and feel loved.

Our daughter has been attending My First Friends since she was 6 months old, and now 2 years and 3 months. The manager and the team have always been supportive and accommodating towards allergies, any developments or issues and have always been available to communicate with. They offer a welcoming and
inclusive environment for the children to express themselves and to integrate with all ages throughout, whilst encouraging learning. Our daughter often comes back singing songs from the day or with a new word or action which we are so proud of. She rarely has an issue going into nursery and is greeted with smiles and a hug. We have copies of the menu on rotation and get updates via the app of what she has eaten when she has slept or been changed as well as developmental snapshots and pictures
I am so happy we managed to get a place here, it is like extended family.

My son started this nursery in 2021 and we could not fault it. The staff, communication and overall care he received was brilliant.
However, since the nursery was taken over a year later, we found the quality of care reduced. There was a huge staff turnover, and communication became a big issue. The
staff are generally really friendly and the manager is approachable, but the standard of care is unfortunately different to when he first joined. The general cost of childcare is a problem for everyone, but I also find the additional service charge we have to pay on a daily basis for my child’s funded days is extortionate at this nursery. I have friends with children at different nurseries and they don’t have to pay even close to it

This an outstanding nursery, this is my second child and both of my daughters have attended here. We have tried four nurseries in total and this is by far the best. The nursery manager is incredible and such an asset. When they had a big change over of staff earlier this year, I was tempted to move
my daughter but the manager was very reassuring and offered lots of support throughout this period. The app is brilliant, whilst I use it less now as the updates are behind what happens eg after my daughter has left the setting - it's very useful. The nursery are very flexible with adding hours/days at short notice, which we always appreciate. Our daughter signs British Sign language (or at least we try to get her to) and the nursery have been great at introducing this into her setting and are very deaf-aware. Her key worker is a delight, very caring and my daughter adores her.

My child enjoys attending My First Friends, the staff are very helpful. One member of staff in dreamers was wonderful helping settle my child when she 1st started.
My child has now moved into discovers and is really enjoying it. One member of the team has also been wonderful and I can see my child
is quite happy with her. The manager has been brilliant with organising changes of days etc.

Have always been happy with nursery however have noticed recently that updates on app have not been accurate. Also, the nursery haven’t been able to offer extra hours/change in days to children's attendance so haven’t been as flexible as before (I think this may be due to staffing issues)

Better communication when problems arise like closing rooms. Notifying parents at 18.00 the day before when this problem would have been known a lot earlier is not great.
Retention of staff there has been lots leaving recently and that’s very said to see as they were amazing.

This is an outstanding nursery. Staff greet the children each morning with a warm and welcoming smile. The facilities are fantastic. Everything is included in the fee so I don't have to worry about providing supplies of anything such as nappies. My child's development has flourished in the nurturing
and stimulating environment provided by My First Friends nursery. He has all of the necessary skills required to give him a headstart at school in September, I can only thank nursery for this. I can't thank this nursery enough for the dedication they have committed to my child's development. It's fantastic.

My first friends nursery is an excellent nursery for all ages, my little one has been there for many years. The environment is clean, spacious and staff are friendly, kind and extremely professional and have great relationships with parent and child
The variety and creativeness of activities they do
with children are brilliant and my little one is and has progressed as expected and loves to go.
They update the online app regularly. So I know what my little one has been doing also how and what and when have eaten.
Overall I would recommend this nursery to all.

Excellent nursery. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I know when my daughter is there she is happy, well cared for and loved. Safeguarding is a priority and that is demonstrated daily. I am forgetful so it's great that wipes/nappies are included in the rate! It gives us an extra 10 minutes every day!

would be nice to be allowed in the building now Covid restrictions are down as it's hard to comment on facilities etc when I haven't seen them. The only downside is how the nursery raises costs annually - buck the trend and stay reasonable for parents.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for around 2 and a half years now. She settled in very quickly which I believe is mostly down to the great staff. They have great indoor and outdoor facilities and do a wide range of educational activities every day. I am so glad we picked this nursery and
wouldn't wish to send her anywhere else.

This nursery have always gone above and beyond for my child. For the 2 years she was there she was always happy to go and the communication has always been phenomenal. I would recommend My First Friends to anyone looking to get their child into a nursery.

Absolutely fantastic, I'm sad my little boy has left for reception. Fantastic nursery, always there if you need advice. The head is absolutely darling, fantastic nursery and fantastic staff. Would recommend My First Friends to everyone.
