Bright Horizons Enfield Hilly Fields Day Nursery and Preschool

Our little boy is now 3.5 years old and he has been attending Enfield Hilly Fields since he was 1 - he loves it! He loves the structure and routine of his days at nursery and he has made some lovely friends. He is progressing well with his learning and social skills, and we have really noticed how far he has come, especially in the last 6-months of moving to the pre-school room. The initial settling in period was thorough, and the staff have always worked hard to ensure that his transitions from room-to-room have been smooth. The staff are brilliant, kind and nurturing; they all know each child by name, and it is so reassuring to leave him knowing that he will be so well looked after. He always comes home happy, and its such a wonderful feeling knowing that he has had a fab day! I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to all parents for their childcare needs; it is a wonderful place!

The team at Hilly Fields are brilliant, their care for the children is obvious, and both our children have grown in confidence as well as mental ability. There is a nice balance of indoor and outdoor activities with learning through play encouraged

Enfield Hilly Fields is just perfect for our little boy and I would highly recommend it to all parents. Our little boy is now 3.5 years old and has been attending since he was just 7 months. The staff are kind, caring, nurturing and provide support for parents/carers too. His transition from room to room has always been well managed and the staff have worked hard to ensure our little boy has settled with ease. His Key Workers have always been supportive and often go the extra mile in supporting our little boy's development and providing parenting advice too - so helpful! Activities and opportunities for him to develop and progress are well planned and photos and learning he brings home evidence he is accessing extremely high-quality EYFS provision. Our little boy could not be happier here and has positive relationships with all staff as well as having an ever-increasing group of great friends. Enfield Hilly Fields really is a special place and our little one loves the food too!

My 3-year-old daughter has been attending this wonderful place since she was 2 years old. It never ceases to amaze us what she comes home able to tell us about her day and the learning she has done - at the beginning, she came home singing in Spanish and just the other day she was able to explain to us about how her brain works! If you're looking for a safe, friendly place that puts the needs of the children first then this is it. My daughter loves it here - a place where she can sing, dance, do so many arts and crafts, play with her friends and have learning that is catered for her as an individual. They even do mindfulness! The rooms inside are so bright and open; they are full of tempting activities all around and the staff are just amazing. So many seasonal activities make every week a new discussion in our household. We are so glad we picked this nursery for our daughter!

We could not have been happier with the care and attention our daughter is receiving at the Hilly Fields Bright Horizons Nursery! The settling in process was made so much easier by the lovely staff. My little one was refusing to eat the first week and they tried patiently so many times, offering her extra snacks and even calling to ask me what her favourite food is to tempt her with which actually worked. I know this may sound trivial, but not to an anxious mum! The staff’s warmth and ready smile have always been reassuring, while the excellent quality of work with the children has been evident in my daughter’s development. Most importantly she gets ready happily in the morning, she walks in with a smile and comes out happy and content! Last but not least, nursery management is very understanding, professional and sends out regular communications - which I find very important, as there is so much uncertainty due to COVID-19. Would highly recommend!

We are very happy

We have been absolutely blown away by the team here. We were very anxious about putting our son in nursery as young as 7 months and having seen several in the area before coming to Hilly Fields Bright Horizons, we knew within 5 minutes of walking into the big, bright and happy building and talking to the manager, that this was the one. Nursery's a real financial commitment for us, but seeing the beaming smile on his face when he arrives every morning, and seeing how happy he is in general: the best money we ever spent. They seem to think harder than most about everything - what music the kids listen to, what they learn about, what they eat, what activities they do. It is a kind, inclusive and intelligent nursery in our experience so far. Our little fellow adores his key workers and everyone else there by the looks of things! If he gets a bump or scrape (very rare) they monitor every ten minutes and send us a report. Regular photos/emails/FB updates about activities etc. Just ace.

My daughter has now been at Enfield Hilly Fields Nursery for three years. In the last year or so, she has moved into preschool room and has been brilliantly supported, cared for, and developed and positively challenged (socially and educationally) to ready her for school. The team are amazing across the nursery, obviously caring for every child and all staff know each child. Great communication with parents, amazing wholesome food, well-established policies, welcoming environment, imaginative in their ways to develop the children and careful to protect and teach the children in their own ways and at their own pace. Looking forward to seeing the finished garden/outside play area soon! I couldn't have been happier with the care given to my daughter and we will both very much miss all the staff, and the nursery when we have to leave later this year. Highly recommend.

My daughter has had a great time at nursery thanks to the hard work, dedication and care of the staff. The appointment of a member of staff with QTS shows a commitment to preparing the children for school both academically and emotionally. Our daughter has had excellent care throughout her time here.

All the staff are friendly, informative, helpful and co-operative. The new garden space being created looks excellent, my daughter is always happy to be dropped off and was made very welcome when she first started.

My son joined recently the nursery. The staff was very welcoming and he is enjoying himself playing and learning. When he started the nursery it was very difficult for him to say single words. I'm very grateful that the nursery and staff have been very helpful with my son and supportive with me for my concern. Now he can speak single words and getting involved in the everyday activities. A big thank you to all the staff for their help and support.

Both of our children have spent two happy years at Hilly Fields Day Nursery before moving on to school. They both settled in really easily and were happy to attend every day. The staff knew them very well and always made them and us feel welcome. We were especially lucky to have the same key worker allocated to both children during their preschool years which provided continuity and familiarity. The rooms were bright, clean and always well-stocked with fun educational activities and books. The big outdoor space is a great bonus and rare for London nurseries. Our children learned a lot while there but most importantly had plenty of fun and were always well looked after. Management were responsive to our queries/emails and flexible with additional bookings etc. Thank you all so much for taking such good care of our little ones.

My child started at the nursery at 10 months in the baby room and has now progressed to the toddler room. In a couple of weeks, my child was used to the surroundings and started making connections with their key worker and other carers. Even though there is a key worker for each child other staff members do rotas in each room so they can get to know the children and connect with them. This was great as my child now is comfortable with many of the staff working there and the transition to the toddler room was smooth. The staff organise multiple activities for them each week and focus their learning on different things. At the end of the day, you get a rundown of their day by their keyworker. My child loves going to the nursery and it’s such a relief in the morning that there are no tears when dropped off! It’s a very friendly environment where staff and management make you feel supported as a parent and you can trust that your child is in good hands.

We are very happy about having our baby in such good hands. It made my return to work very smooth with an extended settling in period where our baby went through the ups and downs while I was still on leave. Staff are just excellent and our baby is happy to be there. We highly recommend this nursery to everyone in the area.

We are extremely happy with the nursery and staff. My two daughters love going to nursery and I am very happy with the progress they are making. The staff are always friendly and giving me constant feedback.

I would recommend barley barn to other parents. The staff in the baby room and toddler room are lovely and helped my son form a good bond with them and feel confident at the nursery. Good facilities and especially nice outside play area.

The manager and the management team are really responsive and helpful. There is a nice welcoming atmosphere at Barley Barn and I have felt happy leaving my son

The nursery has improved exceptionally since our child started here in 2015. The staff are professional and keep us informed of our child's behaviour and progress. We could not be happier with the nursery. Our child loves it here.
