I am so pleased I found Tigers nursery. My son was so unhappy with the nursery he was attending from aged 1-2yrs. I made the decision to move him in April 2024 to Tigers and I am very pleased that I have. Their settling in sessions worked really well and he settled within a couple of weeks. His speech
has come on amazingly and he is coming home telling me what he has learnt each week from their theme of the week. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The management are always available to discuss any worries or resolve any problems and the atmosphere is generally great. It's lovely that the toddler room and pre school room have a glass divider and they mix in the mornings and evenings so when it comes to room changes my child wasn't phased in the slightest.

My son absolutely loves Tigers and every week he says "I'm so excited mummy" when we are on our way!

As first time parents who arent from Swindon, finding a nursery for our 6 month old we were super apprehensive and cautious on where our baby goes. As this is a new process for us all and with our baby being so young, we were super nervous. We found the initial process so seam free and positive we knew
right away this was the nursery for us. The manager and room leader really put our minds at ease. We are both over the moon with the progress our baby has made since being with tigers, we have zero worries whilst both dad and I work. We are provided regular updates on meals/naps/ activities etc. The staff in the baby room are excellent and the room leader is wonderful. It is a super personable and welcoming environment, the staff are so attentive and so invested in your child. We recommend to all and are so pleased we chose here.

Tigers Swindon are amazing! The staff are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much. My little boy struggles with leaving me on drop off but the team are there to comfort, cuddle and reassure he is ok. I have no worries leaving him whilst I and his Dad are at work and on collection we get a full update
on how he's been that day (eating; behaviour etc) as well as regular updates on the app. I would highly recommend Tigers. Thank you!!

My little boy has been going to Tigers Swindon since he was 8 months old, he absolutely loves his time there and I'm always told how extremely happy he has been all day. He has an amazing relationship with his key worker, and the rest of the staff. Putting his arms out to them in the morning always
fills me with confidence we made the right choice! I cannot fault anyone in the baby room at all, and I'm sure as he grows and moves rooms he will have the same experiences. His eating, his social development and even his sleeping has improved since attending. There is a very personable feel to Tigers Swindon, they get to know your child and cater to their needs, not breaking any routine or norms you have at home.

My child is so happy here. All staff have been welcoming, positive and available to talk to. It's very reassuring to receive updates on the app about his sleeping, eating, nappy changes and photos of happy moments. He settled here very quickly, it's been a great fit for us.

Tigers at Swindon Day Nursery had been very close to my heart for over 4 years. My first child grew up at this nursery from baby to preschool and my second child started there as a baby. The staff are amazing with the children and help with each child’s needs very well as well as help with their development.
The nursery itself is clean and tidy and very well looked after. I would recommend Tigers to every parent with how amazing they are. They also have a great garden for outside play and other amazing spaces. They have a great variety of meals, also suitable for all dietary requirements.

My child has been with Tigers at Swindon Day Nursery for almost a year and she has blossomed and grown tremendously! I’ve watched her learn to play with others and care for others as she has been cared for by the staff. It’s wonderful to watch her grow into a real little human with their teachings and
encouragement. It is the best place to have put her!

The nursery is very good with my son. He is well looked after. They encourage learning and assess his development regularly. He always seems very happy when I go to pick him up. All the activities he does are varied. The app communication is mostly good but some days there is nothing uploaded.

My son enjoys every element of nursery - playing, learning and the staff. It’s amazing to see the progression he is making with new words, new things he can do and new games. He loves the staff and they always give a full review of his day - what they’ve done, what he’s eaten etc.

My little boy started Tigers at Swindon when he was in the baby room, he is now in pre school and loves coming in each and every day! He was very clingy and quiet when starting Tigers and has since turned into a confident and chatty little boy! He also has an allergy and they have been very cautious
with this making sure all his meals are completely dairy free! I would recommend Tigers to any parent I know! I love the bonds he has created with many of the staff members throughout his time at nursery and he loves coming home and telling me all about his friends and how his day has been.

My little boy has been coming to this nursery since the baby room! He is now in the toddler room and loves coming to nursery to see his friends and staff! He enjoys being outside and always comes home messy, proving he’s had a great and fun day! He’s built bonds with all staff and talks about them at
home and also his friends who he plays with.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.419)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.419) out of 10 for Tigers at Swindon Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.900 for Tigers at Swindon Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (109 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 120 Ratings = 4.9
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.519 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tigers at Swindon Day Nursery is based on 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.75
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13. 10 Positive Reviews ÷ 13 = 0.769
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2017

I have over 15 years of experience in childcare and education: babies up to 11 years and children with additional needs. I am Level 3 qualified in Children’s and young people’s workforce and hold a Level 3 NVQ in play work and have taken on a variety of roles including Senco, safeguarding lead, room leader, deputy and Manager. I love my job and getting to know our lovely families. I am passionate about early years care and education and understand how important it is for a child’s development and wellbeing and the impact positive learning experiences and developing relationships and confidence are for the future.

I joined the team here at Swindon in March 2023 and haven’t looked back. I have previously worked at Tigers in Theale and Thatcham between 2017 and 2022 working as a Nursery Nurse working my way up to third in Charge at Theale, becoming the deputy here at Swindon before taking on the role of Manager in August 2024

I love the layout of the Nursery and the welcoming environment we offer. As a team we all work together to support all Children and their families. We are always reflecting on what we do, and the Why and how we do it. We always set the goal post high to be the Best Nursery we can be, providing the best care and start to life for all children.

I am a Mum to three adult children and two grandchildren age 8 and 6. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, trips to the theatre, skating, dance and sporting events.
