We moved our daughter here after being unhappy with her previous nursery due to high staff turnover, cleanliness and general mayhem.
We have not been disappointed with our decision. Abbot’s Hill nursery is spotless, has great facilities and a lovely team who really care about the kids, provide a consistently
peaceful, creative and nurturing environment and do a great job.
Our daughter adores her keyworker and so do we. We get updates throughout the day with pictures and descriptions of what activities our daughter is enjoying and it’s a weight off our mind knowing she’s somewhere so good.
Highly recommend.

Having only been with a childminder from the age of 1 until the age of 2, I was apprehensive about my daughter's reaction to a nursery environment. I needn't have worried - she absolutely loves Abbot's Hill and wouldn't mind going there on her day off nursery!

The choice of a nursery is obviously

a parents' choice in the first place. When we visited Abbot's Hill for the first time, there was nothing not to like - from the friendliness of staff, through to the impressive level of security and the beautiful setting.

I have since been particularly impressed by the helpfulness of all nursery staff I have been in contact with, the level of communication with parents, the way that the child's progress is followed, as well as the quality of the nursery daily menu.

I truly cannot recommend the nursery enough.

Abbot's Hill nursery provides a child a very secure, cheerful and nurturing environment . The added benefit of being attached to the school they get to enjoy Ballet, French, PE and Music which my daughter thoroughly enjoys. As a parent I can work better because I know my child is being looked after
well.

I would highly recommend this nursery. The staff are very caring, helpful and supportive. The facilities are excellent. My child has really developed well at this nursery and is extremely happy there. The communication from the nursery is also very good, especially the developmental log which they send
to the parents.

My niece attends your lovely nursery and absolutely loves it. She is extremely happy, learning very fast and I enjoy watching the milestones and achievements made via the nursery website. The staff are all so caring and the environment is loving and encouraging. I highly recommend the nursery because
of the team and facilities. Thank you for doing such a great job and taking such care of the children.

My granddaughter attends your excellent day nursery. The facilities are wonderful and the staff are excellent. She is encouraged daily and is very happy here. The size of class and location of the classrooms are also commendable, including security for the children (eg when a family member is collecting
them, with permission of the parents, they must have the correct password and give their signature on the form). There is a good sized parking area reserved for nursery drop off/collection.

The play area is welcoming and safely contained. The nursery setting in the beautiful grounds of the main school means the children are close to greenery and nature. I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

Our eldest daughter started at Abbot’s Hill Nursery when it first opened. There was no competition, the nursery offers everything you could want for your child. The staff are happy, welcoming and most importantly care for the welfare and education of the children. The nursery is clean, bright, airy,
well organised and complete with all the necessary tools and aids for the little ones to enjoy the activities. We now have our second child in Tiny Toes and look forward to both girls moving into the school. I’ve always felt at complete ease leaving my girls at nursery knowing they are in safe hands. All the staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and our key workers have been totally amazing with our little ones. Totally recommend this nursery to everyone!

Our daughter absolutely loves her time at nursery. She adores ALL the members of staff and she has really progressed during her time here. In particular the staff were great at working with us to achieve potty training, they provide us with ideas of what we can develop with her at home and our daughter
comes home every week having learnt something new!

The staff at Abbot's Hill made us feel welcome and comfortable from the start and have continued to do so over the years. They are not short on providing information on what the child has done while with them and how he or she is progressing. They also have a clear structure of how they advance the
child through the learning stages. With all of the above I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a day nursery.

My child has been attending this nursery since it opened its doors from the beginning. We as parents are extremely happy with the level of care received for our child. The level of attention, play and learning is very much tailored individually and the daily feedback is excellent. The regular updates
on Tapestry on our child’s development, next level learning and goals are just fantastic. Developmental Learning is almost received in real-time due to this application. It’s also something we as parents can contribute to.

All the staff are caring and friendly and genuinely take an interest in each child regardless if they are in their class or not. In the early days as a new parent, it was really reassuring to get a advice from staff at Abott’s Hill Nursery on my child's development. They have answered all my questions and concerns professionally.

Ever since we moved our daughter from another nursery to Abbots Hill, we couldn't be happier and neither could she! The staff have been incredible and value our daughter and her abilities and needs in a way we couldn't have even expected. She has settled in wonderfully and looks forward to every day
she gets to go. They communicate with us daily with pictures and descriptions of what she is doing and her progress. Their attention to detail and care about the whole child is invaluable to us. We can't wait for them to welcome our son in a few months! Between woodland school and French lessons, they really are providing a wholistic early years curriculum.

My daughter has just moved up classes. She has had the pleasure of being in the nursery for the last 12 months and not only loves it but thrives there. The staff are ALL outstanding and the one to one time they spent with the children is priceless, this is one of the reasons why our daughter is beyond
her years in terms of interaction & social awareness. The facilities and cleanliness are superb and meals freshly prepared/cooked on site.
My wife and I have already recommend the nursery to a friend of ours and fortunately their son has managed to get a starting place next month.
This really is an outstanding nursery, I cannot praise it and more importantly the staff highly enough. I would HIGHLY recommend Abbots Hill nursery to all nursery parents.

Our son has been attending Abbot's Hill Nursery since he turned one and we are delighted with every aspect of the Nursery. The facilities and surroundings are stunning. Having visited numerous nurseries in the area, Abbot's Hill far exceeded all the others. The care that all staff take of our son is
outstanding and the designated 'key person' continually challenges and offers new opportunities which is clear in his consistent development. Every staff member knows him by name which demonstrates the caring nature of the nursery. A daily log of his activities throughout each day is recorded and provided upon pick up. We also receive regular updates of his activities via the online/app tapestry platform which is very detailed and informative. Our son loves every day he spends at nursery and regularly talks about the staff and other children glowingly. We cannot recommend Abbot's Hill Nursery highly enough and we consider the staff and facilities to be of the highest quality.

We moved our daughter to Abbot’s Hill Nursery due to issues with the previous nursery she was in. This place is worlds apart, the building is new, clean, bright and airy. The staff are friendly, genuinely interested and engaged with the children. The activities offered stretch the children are varied
and interesting and due to its location, they can offer walks within the grounds and visits to woods. After a previous potty training failure, the staff recognised that she was ready and were supportive and encouraging, enabling her to be dry within a week. Thank you, Abbot’s Hill.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.981)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.981) out of 10 for Abbot's Hill Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.981 for Abbot's Hill Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (258 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 263 Ratings = 4.981
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Abbot's Hill Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 65 number of registered child places is 13, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
