We have been highly praised for our safeguarding standards with Ofsted and Royal Greenwich. We have regular training in safeguarding and around subjects to aid our cohort of children and staff professional development. We have initiatives to support independence of care such as our Snuffle Station. Our staff do go on a number of courses through the year and we tailor this to supporting our Crafty Wizards needs and their own professional development. Unlike local primary schools, we do pride ourselves in being able to offer personalised learning and update parents with observations and assessments via our online parent portal, inform you of activities that are out daily on our closed facebook page and offer information through informal chats and our Wizarding Quills. Aye aye captain! Glad your daughter enjoy our Pirate Day. Staff always join in with dress up and role play, look out for our book week next year! Our Crafty Wizards enjoyed trying our gruel and taking part in lots of pirate themed activities tailored also around their interests and developmental needs. We offer opportunities on our interactive tilt table, light box, tablets and play toys such as mechanical toys, battery operated toys, role play ICT: phones, keyboards etc. Our activities are planned on a daily basis round the children's interests and needs. We montior the progress of our children carefully and plan activities that can help support and challenge our Crafty Wizards in a fun and inspiring way. Tomorrow staff have training and are visiting the Nursery World Exposition in London. Management have planned for all staff to think about individual children and plan for their needs and interests, taking inspiration from the exposition and the seminars that they are going to attend. This week we have been making rain gauges, decorating biscuits, our usual messy play and measuring towers with measuring tapes and non-standard measurement tools (along with the usual opportunities).
