Footsteps Walmley Nursery & Pre-School

Really good nursery with friendly staff and great activities for kids. My youngest loves forest school, playground and all the crafting. The nursery has good size parking for drop-offs and pick-ups. The app that we are getting all the notifications is good compared to some that other schools/nurseries use.

I also love the amazing outdoor space available at the nursery and know that’s a favourite too!

Pre-school was great and my eldest was more than ready for reception when the time came.

Both my young kids attended Footsteps Nursery (Walmley) and really enjoy their time here. The staff are very friendly and engaging with the kids, and the facility is very clean and modern, with lots of outdoor spaces and activities. Thanks to all the wonderful staff for all the great work you do!

My 2-year-old daughter has been at Footsteps Nursery since she was 9 months old and my son (now 6) was there previously. They provide a wonderful environment for the children and do an amazing job of getting to know them individually. My daughter has had to wear glasses from a young age and they were so supportive in encouraging her to do so, even buying books about children wearing glasses to read to her whilst she was getting used to them. Would highly recommend.

My child has recently started at this setting and I’m so impressed with how well she has settled. This is because the staff really do care about what they do, they put the effort and time into settling my child and have made me as a father feel very comfortable! I know she’s in great hands. They have taken the time to get to know my child and I know she’s happy when goes there as she just walks right in! She has become much more confident and independent since starting and I’m so happy to see her thriving in their care.

My daughter has recently started in the movers room. With my daughter being born just before the first pandemic, I was nervous that she would be unsettled and wouldn’t enjoy herself but I couldn’t be any more wrong. She absolutely loves her time at nursery and has formed such lovely bonds with the staff. The staff have been attentive and supportive to settling my little girl and made me feel so at ease. I love seeing what she had done on her day at nursery, by looking at their learning book app and I always get informative feedback at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

I am glad my children are attending Footsteps. The children have appropriate levels of stimulation and are blossoming. The staff are caring, approachable, attentive and experienced. It will be great once the country opens up again to enable the mini day trips.

Lovely nursery setting and great staff. My daughter has really settled here and all the staff have been amazing at helping with any request I've had. As a parent your always apprehensive about where you send your child but I’m so glad I chose here.

Both my children go to this nursery and have thrived with confidence and learning. My daughter loves preschool and constantly comes out happy and talkative about what she has done. My son is in toddlers now, he is saying words together, counting and he comes out happy. I highly recommend this nursery as the staff go above and beyond and if I make a request they will fulfill what I’ve asked. I wouldn’t put my children anywhere else.

My daughter started in the baby room at the start of January and after spending most of our time in lockdown I was really nervous about leaving her however, the girls in the room made me feel so at ease. My daughter has come upon so much and loves being at nursery, I no longer feel anxious when dropping her off as I know how quickly she settles. I always receive a full handover of her day and can tell she’s well looked after by the staff team.

My 2 boys started at Walmley Footsteps within February, where the staff and manager have gone above and beyond to help them settled in, feel comfortable and happy. My children come home content and excited to tell me about their day and who they've been looked after by. They participate in a lot of different activities including a cooking club in which they brought home a yummy cookie, it's truly lovely to see their faces light up as we speak about what they did to create it at nursery. The nursery has fabulous indoor and outdoor facilities with a separate forest school on site which is amazing as my children just love being outdoors. The nursery have adapted the menu for my youngest child's dietary needs without any complaints and the staff makes sure I know which alternatives they've had when needed which is really reassuring! We highly recommend this nursery!

It’s a fantastic nursery, my daughter loves going, she loves all the staff, the activities and the other children. They have a great outdoor space with their own forest school on site. The food is great and a good variety of healthy food. It’s very clean and tidy. The staff keep you well updated via the app, I would highly recommend this nursery.

Great nursery with good indoor and outdoor facilities and very professional and committed staff. Our daughter has only been there for a few months but she is very happy and we are very happy the service and amenities.

My daughter goes to Footsteps and I can’t honestly thank the teachers enough. She has adapted to nursery really well even though I was worried to leave her, she comes home with pictures and often has things loaded to the app for me to see. She always comes home full of smiles and I know she has had a great day. The office girls are great and have always been helpful in helping me understand how to set up my payment and nothing is ever too much trouble. All teachers are so friendly and always ask how we are and they have a great garden which my daughter loves. They give you free nappies and I think sun cream too which is good. The food always smells so yummy when I come by in the morning. So glad I found this nursery for my daughter.

My son has been at this nursery since October 2018 and has recently moved into the preschool room. The transition process couldn’t have gone smoother. He was made familiar of the staff through regular settle sessions, which helped to prepare him and now I can’t get him to leave! He has so much fun in there and I love that he has such great bonds with the staff in there, so I know that he feels safe. He always comes home telling me all about his day and his learning book is always up to date so I know what he’s been up to. I’ve recently upped his sessions because he loves it there so much. Thank you Footsteps Walmley for providing such a safe and secure setting for my son to grow and learn!

My daughter has been attending Footsteps Nursery since July 2017. We have always been very pleased with the nursery. The different activities she takes part in during the day including Forest School and music dance class. We really love the learning journal that is regularly updated with videos and pictures of what they get up to. All the staff are very supportive of our choices and have really helped with the potty training and reducing the time she uses her dummy. We look forward to her staying at the pre-school until she is ready for school.
