We especially love forest school.
Me and my husband collect our granddaughter from Footsteps Walmley. We noticed just how much love and attention they give in the babies room. Our granddaughter has settled down and is very happy and contented and loves the learning activities. This is all down to the caring and lovely staff. They are a credit to the nursery. As grandparents, we are happy knowing she is in a safe environment. When we see her smiling face when we pick her up is a real joy and we are so pleased our daughter and son-in-law chose this nursery.
Out child has shown progress in his development across a wide range of skills. He is happy and had built great relationships with staff and peers.
We have noticed there is a range of levels of ability and communication amongst the staff, the vast majority of whom are excellent.
Excellent facilities both inside and out, mean that staff take all opportunities to be creative and cover a wide scope of activities. Lunchtime meal encourages variety for taste buds.
Would be nice to see more fruit available at breakfast, tea and snack.
I would highly recommend Footsteps to anyone and would say that they always go above and beyond to make sure the children are happy. Keep up the good work guys.
My daughter loves going to Footsteps nursery in Walmley. The first couple of weeks were tough on me and my wife having to leave her but the staff were absolutely brilliant in settling her in. She took to it like a duck to water and has come on leaps and bounds since being at nursery this last 6 months. Highly recommended.
We need not have worried at all as she settled in so well and it is so lovely to see how she mixes with the other children.
I can’t praise the girls who look after the children enough they are lovely girls who do a great job.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to other parents and grandparents.
My daughter started here in the baby room and as hard as it was to leave her, it has been the best thing for her. She is developing daily and I think that is down to the team in her room. Not only do they genuinely care for each and every child but they are professional, hardworking and have your child’s best interests at heart. It’s never too much trouble to stop & ask them how she’s got on that day, they always make time for us worried mums! There are new activities for her to take part in daily, from cookery, Asda trips, jo jingles, outdoor play, forestry school, painting, it's no wonder she loves it! I would highly recommend Footsteps. It’s very clean and modern with great outdoor space. They keep you informed via the app, and they cook fresh healthy meals daily. There is even a wonderful online blog where they upload pictures and videos, which is lovely! At Xmas, they did night babysitting so families could do their Xmas shopping! It’s an unbelievable nursery with everything you could wish for
My grandson has been at Footsteps Nursery in the baby room for over 6 months now. He enjoys the time he spends there and has learnt a lot. He has a good variety of healthy foods and the activities that are carried out are always varied. I would definitely recommend this Nursery.
My daughter joined the baby room at Footsteps in September 2018 and both her and our experience has been excellent. The staff are great with her and she always does a variety of activities. She absolutely loves going to Footsteps and always has a smile on her face when we drop her off and pick her up. As with most parents, we were worried about her starting nursery as we weren't sure how she would take to it. I have to say we are pleased we chose Footsteps and the staff in the baby room have really taken the time to get to know her. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough and thank you for doing a great job!
My daughter started in the baby room at Footsteps at 12 months old and to say that I was apprehensive was an understatement. However, the staff at nursery have all been amazing helping my daughter settle in and also reassuring me. My daughter clearly loves going to nursery she is happy to carry on eating or showing me the toys that she likes to play with when I pick her up. All the staff have taken the time to get to know my daughter as an individual and you can tell they love what they do. She has a lovely bond with her key worker. It's always a friendly environment and the staff are approachable and caring. The activities are very varied and creative from arts and crafts to water play to playing musical instruments. The outdoor space is great. The meals and snack variety on offer is great too, she is fed better than me! I feel that my daughter has really benefited from attending and this is down to the staff being great at what they do! This is an excellent nursery, I highly recommend.
My 8th-month-old son started in Baby Room here 3 weeks ago and is settling brilliantly. All of the staff have been very warm and welcoming and he has built a lovely bond with his key worker already. I always get a full report of his day from what he has been up to, what he’s eaten, to when and how much he’s slept. The environment is cosy and has a lovely homely feel and there are always great activities and equipment for him to explore. We are very happy with this nursery and it's a relief to see my baby so contented.
An added bonus is the extra activities that they’re able to take part in, Jo Jingles as an example. One of the sad things about going back to work is not being able to take my girls to the baby/toddler groups that they enjoyed so much whilst I was on maternity leave so it’s great that they still get to experience them at nursery. Thank you to the Walmley team for making our nursery/preschool experience a happy and positive one.
The staff are warm and welcoming and build strong relationships with the children. The facilities are amazing, especially the gardens and the forestry school. They provide a variety of activities to help with the children's development, activities range from Forestry School to Cookery. My daughter especially likes the visits from an entertainer. Communication is excellent and any upcoming events are posted on their our school app. Highly recommended!
My daughter has been attending Footsteps in Walmley since the age of 16 months she's is now 22 months old. She found it hard to settle in but the perseverance of the staff had paid off and she is now enjoying the experience and has come on in her development leaps and bounds.
The staff go to great lengths to make sure the girls have the best day they can and are also very professional.
I would without a doubt recommend Footsteps nursery.
My son has been attending the nursery for nearly 2 years. He settled very easily into the nursery and really enjoys going. The staff are very kind and encouraging and my son developing really well. The nursery engages parents into the setting and helps to extend the children's learning at home.
My son has been attending this nursery for just over a year now and seems very happy and settled. This to me is very important as leaving him is hard to do. The staff have always been polite, happy and eager to make my son's needs their priority. He always has a packed day filled with lots of fun activities. The grounds are lovely and I love the fact that they spend lots of time outside. Overall I'm so happy that I managed to get a place, as out of any of the other nurseries I've seen Footsteps was definitely the best.
The staff provides me with so much information about what he's been doing.
I have seen a change in his development also he's becoming more verbal and has an interest in certain activities.
The environment is warm and stimulating and shows the centre of their care is for the children and their families.
Our daughter has been going since Nov 2017 since she was 12 months old. Naturally we were apprehensive about leaving her in nursery, however, she has absolutely loved it at Footsteps. The team were all fantastic in the crawlers room and we really felt that our daughter was being well looked after. Since then, her development of language has come on a long way and her attitudes to learning and exploring. She doesn't even want to come home some days after spending 10 hours a day, four days a week. It's a lovely nursery, still very new and clean and we have a sense of comfort leaving her there each day. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
