Kindred Nursery in Bournemouth is a warm and inviting environment where staff are passionate about the mission to create inspiring worlds full of wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in.

By creating days filled with unique moments and opportunities, the nursery are able to truly enrich a child’s development during the 0-5 years.

Kindred Bournemouth (formerly known as Little Hens) is located in a lovely converted church setting with a large outdoor area. The nursery offers exceptional childcare and early years education to children aged from 3 months up to 5 years.

My daughter attends this nursery and I cannot fault it. The staff are wonderful - so friendly and energetic. They seem to genuinely care about the children and are really informative in their feedback at pick-up time.


The staff are also always doing new craft things and they also have a wide range

of facilities/play areas. Another big plus is the food which is great and my daughter is willing to try a lot more which has made a significant change to her diet.


They also have a fab app which not all nurseries have which updates you throughout the day. In addition, they also offer long hours which is ideal for working parents.


I am very confident that my daughter is really well looked after here and, being an extrovert, she wants a lot of attention, which they manage really well and encourage her dancing and bubbly nature! Would definitely recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Amazing attentive staff who cannot do enough. My daughter's development has really come on since joining Kindred and she loves it there. Could not recommend enough! Will be sad when my daughter leaves. Thank you to the staff for everything they do.

My son loves attending the nursery. The staff are friendly, caring and supportive. I find the app they use to communicate with parents really helpful as I can see what he is doing through the day e.g what he has eaten, how much, naps, nappies etc. As well as receiving reports on his overall development.
I particularly like receiving the photos so I get to see all the lovely activities he gets up to. Very reassuring!

Our two children have been going to this nursery for nearly 4 years and I honestly could not speak more highly of the site and their staff, especially since the new nursery manager. They have genuine passion for the children and try to put as much adventure and excitement as possible into each day so
the children enjoy the time they spend there. Regular events (pre-covid) allow parents to connect with the staff and other parents and also see first-hand the exciting things they do. If you are looking for a nursery you will not be disappointed in choosing this one! Also, the food made for the kids is incredible (better than what I make at home!

I'm so happy we sent our son to Kindred - it's clear he's really well taken care of and enjoys it there. The staff are caring, communicate well and have a great relationship with him. I also love having access to the app - it sets my mind at ease on days I know he's not feeling his best.

I first came to know Kindred Bournemouth when it was known as Buttons Nursery - the staff are amazing, they have so much heart, understanding and a caring mindset. Both my son and daughter have/are attending the setting and it's very reassuring and wonderful to see my daughter get excited about going
to daycare here and I love hearing about her day and all the fun she has had. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. The management are really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and we’re very thankful to Kindred Nursey.
There is one member of staff in particular who has been the caregiver for both our children, she is like an angel sent from above. She goes above and beyond her job role, she is such a loving and understanding person and has created such an amazing bond with both our children. When my daughter comes to leave, all the staff are going to be greatly missed.

Kindred Bournemouth is a fantastic place. The staff are amazing sharing all their passion to little ones. My daughter has been going there for a year now and asking every morning if she's going today. The manager couldn't be more helpful trying to sort out all queries. The food prepared by the chef
is amazing and my daughter is eating better there than at home. A lot of activities outdoor in the big garden is a huge advantage. Will recommend to everyone!

I am so happy with the care that my little boy has received at Kindred Bournemouth. He is only 6 months old and I was very nervous about leaving him at nursery being so young but they are amazing. I love receiving updates about him during the day and it makes me feel happy with the knowledge that he
is safe. They have also been really helpful with his weaning as well closely following the journey we are taking at home as well.

I could not recommend Kindred Bournemouth enough. It is a fantastic nursery with fantastic, kind caring staff. My eldest son has been attending since he was 11 months and is now 3 and my youngest son has just started 2 months ago. We have both so impressed by the nursery. My eldest son has development
delays and the support which has been given to him has been amazing and I can’t thank them enough for their continued support.

Such a lovely nursery. The staff are extremely caring and are not only a support to the children but to their parents too. During these strange times, they have been reassuring to parents and still offered a setting that is comfortable, safe and enjoyable for the children. And also offering activities
on the app to do outside of nursery which we like to watch and take part in. My daughter is in the baby nest. She loves it and often mentions the leaders' names and what songs, dances and activities they will do. The team in this room are amazing and I wish they could move up with my daughter when she is ready for a bigger room as both me and my daughter will miss them.

I have only positive things to say about this nursery and have recommended Kindred to many of my friends. My son has been going for a year now and has always been so happy and his development, particularly communication, has come along so quickly. He loves the staff and is always excited to go to nursery.
The nursery has great facilities and plenty of room to play and my son has had the opportunity to take part in lots of different activities. Staff are really friendly too. Cannot recommend enough.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since last year and she really loves it. As a mum that has been very nervous to leave their child in a new environment, Kindred Bournemouth Nursery has done nothing but reassure me. The staff are so friendly and really make a effort for you and your child's
individual needs. I would recommend this nursery. My daughter is always saying how she loves her nursery and even on weekends is asking to go. So that must be saying something. Great team.

My son has been attending this nursery since April 2018, both my husband and I are really happy with the care he is given. The staff are always friendly, enthusiastic and willing to help in any way they can to support my son and us as a family. The management of the nursery is excellent, with great
communication, an online app where I can view what my son has been up to during the day and regular newsletters. The standard of food that is served at mealtimes is excellent - they have a dedicated chef who cooks up some amazing dishes which has really helped my son discover new foods and become a good eater. We have peace of mind that our son is in excellent care, he is so happy and is developing lots of new skills - thank you Kindred.

My daughter has been going to Kindred Bournemouth for over a year now. Every time I tell her it’s nursery today she jumps up excitedly and rushes for her nursery bag. She has never had a bad day there. The nursery staff are so kind and caring, they have really nurtured her development and supported

Kindred is such a lovely nursery. They have been excellent from day one. We have a very clingy little boy but I always leave knowing he is in such good hands. We checked out three nurseries before settling on Kindred nursery on Kinson Road, Bournemouth. This was our first nursery viewing and we found the staff to be engaging, knowledgable and polite. The facilities were fantastic and it's hard to describe the sheer size, but every room was laid out and a
delight. However, we made sure we checked others in the area after - but they simply couldn’t match it for the quality of facilities or value. Fees include all food / nappies / care in one inclusive price, whereas others don't provide that or split out the costs as extras, making it much more expensive. The parenting app they use, keeps us informed throughout the day, indicating feed times / what was eaten and how much, sleep times and nappy changes. We also get regular photos of our little one’s day and regular assessments of development. We are having our second child soon and also hope to send them there in due course.
