New Cross Nursery & Pre-School

The staff at LEYF Awersham Vale are experienced. Since the day we began they have been like family to our daughter who adores the nursery and all the opportunities for fun and learning it provides her.

Our daughter has been nurtured and has become very sociable as a result of the attention and care she has received.

Very welcoming nursery. Friendly staff who relate and care for my son. Staff discount for children attending nursery. Plenty of food and fun activities for the children.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery. He really enjoys all of the activities, toys and learning opportunities that we might be hard-pressed to give him in such quantity and diversity at home. I am impressed by the warm, friendly nature of the staff and how they give a great deal of attention to all the children. They also make a lot of effort to work with you on your child's development and are even a great source of advice for new parents.

Separately, I would like to note that the resources/equipment/ict rating does not offer the option to choose "I don't know." If that option was available, that is what I would have selected.

I would definitely recommend New Cross to other parents as I am totally confident they will have a pleasurable experience as we have.

The team have been brilliant with our daughter, who had a tricky start and struggled to adjust to being away from mum and dad at first. They were very supportive and really have genuinely enjoyed watching her progress as she started to get used to being there 3 days a week. She loves her food, so really enjoys the fresh food they give her and loves the toys and activities they plan. She has grown in confidence so much over the past few months and we definitely think LEYF have played a huge part in that. The staff have been great, and the review after a few months really helped us get a great picture of her development and where we can help. She loves it there now and has lots of fun so we can relax knowing she is happy and being looked after.

The team is great and have been like a second family. My daughter has been there for over 2 years and has thoroughly enjoyed her time at LEYF New Cross.

New Cross Community Nursery is our child's second nursery and the improvement from the previous one is huge. The building is spacious, the grounds are vast (and could be even bigger in time). The staff are not as subject to change as at our previous nursery and this is good for our daughter because she has at least 3 who she has known for over a year. She eats a great variety of food here.

It would be better if they could offer a bit more food at snack time, other than only milk/water and fruit/veg.

Now almost 3 years after, he wants to go there every day. He loves to go and play with his friends at nursery. When he's happy, we are happy too. Thank you.

I have 2 children that attend the preschool team at New Cross Community Nursery. My children always come home and tell me about the fun things they have done during that day. Staff are really friendly, approachable and have really nice relationships with my children. I always get really good detailed feedback at the end of each session, which I really like.

She learns new things every day. Safe. Love her drawings and paintings.

My daughter loves going to nursery and she is actively encouraged to develop her storytelling and imaginative skills. The food is of a very good standard and at times I feel like she eats better than me!

Excellent nursery. Friendly, warm staff who provide a safe and fun environment for my children aged 4 and 2.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were very supportive during the settling time and understood my child needs. I love the diversity in the team and my daughter loves the Spanish speaking teachers.

My son has developed dramatically since starting here back in August 2017. He has become much more confident and is thriving. The setting is always clean and the staff are amazing.

Overall, I have been very happy with the nursery. My little one is always happy to go and I feel a sense of supportive community. The staff are attentive and kind and the area (inside and outside) is appealing. My only criticism would be inadequate feedback on my child's development. But on a day-to-day level, I think this has been a good fit for both my little one and I.

We are very happy about the care and thorough attention our son receives at New Cross Community Nursery. He learns new things every day and is happy to go back to nursery every day. Staff encourage a playful and exploratory way of learning and encourage working with natural textures such as soil. They spend a lot of time outside in the beautiful garden too, which is a little luxury in a busy town like London.
