I have my two children at Bright Horizons Brockley, one who started as a baby and is now three and a baby who just started. The care provided is really good and it's just comforting to see them really happy to go there, being friends with their carers and making friends there. People care about the children, they do nice activities and we can track how the kids' day is going with an app.
We have nothing but positives to say about Bright Horizons! The thought of our daughter starting daycare was quite daunting but even in the midst of a pandemic, the staff couldn’t have been more wonderful, welcoming and helpful in making us feel like it was the exact right call. Our daughter has fit in exceptionally well and is learning new things daily. We want to particularly point out certain staff and the manager as being fantastic but all the staff are lovely.
Have been very impressed with the nursery. Our daughter loves going there every time, and all staff are warm and friendly. Very good communication in relation to sleep, food, nappy and activities communicated through app. Was worried that the chain nature would be to detriment, but have not experienced any downside from this. Flexibility of staff to accommodate varying work schedule has also been greatly appreciated. Mark as "good" only on cost as it is more expensive than other facilities locally, but I still view this as "good" value for money when considering quality of staff and facilities.
We were looking for an interim nursery place for our 10-month-old before a space became available at our local nursery. Thankfully we then discovered Bright Horizons Brockley! From the moment staff responded to my initial enquiry, I knew we would be in good hands. I had been apprehensive about joining a nursery chain but they have successfully created a loving and nurturing home from home whilst maintaining a level of professionalism you’d expect from a larger organisation. Each and every one of the staff we met were incredibly welcoming and showed great care and familiarisation towards our son – even the team members who were not assigned to the baby room. I cannot recommend this nursery enough and it was with an incredibly heavy heart that we waved goodbye for the last time on Friday.
The management of this nursery are super friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to help. I would highly recommend the nursery.
My son started at this nursery in January 2020. Immediately, we faced the lockdown, but ever since starting again, there has been tremendous improvement in his overall development. The staff are very helpful and adhere to any of our concerns. They take special care of any child who needs extra help with daily activities. Various activities and learning as per the age are carefully chosen for children. My son enjoys going to the nursery thoroughly. We are very happy with the nursery overall.
I would highly recommend this nursery to other parents. When I first visited, I was impressed by the facilities and how calm and well-organised everything seemed. My son has been attending for almost a year now, and it's lived up to expectations.
All staff are friendly and helpful, both in the office and in my son's room. He has formed a particularly strong bond with his key worker who is fantastic. The communication with parents is excellent, and I really appreciate the daily reports and weekly newsletters that get sent home. They've been especially helpful this year while parents haven't been able to enter the building due to Covid safety measures. It's helped us stay connected to what he gets up to at nursery everyday.
The nursery have dealt with the covid situation fantastically this year, despite all the challenges. I'm very grateful.
Our son has a severe speech disorder and attends regular speech therapy both on the NHS and independently. He requires a high level of support and monitoring, both with his speech production and his ability to socialise with his peers. The managers and staff have been overwhelmingly supportive - they work consistently with our Speech and Language Therapist to implement recommendations while our son is in their care and regularly review and adapt approaches with our input. It has made a marked difference in his speech and his confidence. All managers and staff are super friendly and attentive, clearly taking the time to get to know children on an individual basis so that, in all their interactions, they make each child feel at ease. For instance, our son has a few atypical traits/behaviours - e.g. when arriving at nursery, he likes to hide and have a staff member greet him with a peek-a-boo, which they are always happy to do! We are all so happy with Brockley Bright Horizons - cannot fault them at all!
Whenever me and my son turn up we are welcomed with a smile from whoever opens the door and they're so professional. This is my review as a mother of a child who goes there and already I know where my little girl will be going when she turns 2 years old as I feel if you find a good preschool that you can trust hold on to it. I have already noticed a difference in my son from just the full week of him being there and I thank the preschool for that.
I will be recommending this preschool to friends of mine. Sorry for the long review, just so happy with it.
My son has settled into Bright Horizons Brockley so quickly and easily. The staff there are lovely from the moment your child walks into the building they are greeted by all staff with a magical smile. The set up is just brilliant every day. They provide as much information as they can throughout the day on the activities the children are engaged in by far this was the best decision to send him here.
We had a very disappointing experience with this nursery. Our child was very happy until Bright Horizons took over from another provider. Since then standards have slipped markedly. The main concerns are lack of hygiene (pre-COVID-19 so hopefully not an issue now) i.e. often no soap at sinks where children wash hands. A high staff turnover and staff focusing on their paperwork rather than attending to the kids. An ineffective management team who treated any constructive feedback as a personal attack on them rather than an attempt to improve the environment for kids. A lack of communication with parents (e.g. we were not informed when the nursery head left). This nursery is also very expensive relative to the local competition. It was well worth the money when managed by the previous provider as it was genuinely special. But since changing hands to Bright Horizons it is just as expensive for what is a sub-par nursery.

Meet the Team (2)
My journey in childcare started in 2006 when I was part of a team opening a new sure start community nursery in my local area. I went on to complete my childcare qualifications and stayed in this setting until I had my daughter in 2011.
For the past 9 years, I've been working in three of Bright Horizons' nursery settings. From room leader to third in charge, and deputy manager. I joined the Brockley team in November 2023 after being promoted to Manager in February 2022.
I'm passionate about providing high-quality childcare through a safe and secure environment while supporting my staff team to provide activities that promote each child's unique personality while catering to the individual needs of each child and parent. Creating a home away from home atmosphere for the children we care for is very important to us at Brockley.
Chloe started working at Bright Horizons in 2016. Whilst undertaking her degree in Education and Early Years, she always knew she wanted to work with Preschool-aged children. Chloe started as the lead in Preschool and then went on to become the third in charge and then Deputy in 2019, also taking on the SENCO role.
Chloe thrives on ensuring quality is present within all rooms, allowing children to have a stimulating environment which is fun and exciting for them throughout the day.
