My daughter loves this nursery and speaks about her teachers all the time. The girls have a lot of time for the kids and explain everything to us mums when we pick them up. They are always up to exciting things. And she can't wait to go to her class and see everyone.

Since the nursery has been taken over I won't lie, there have been some teething problems but these have been dealt with effectively by the new manager. Overall, attending buoys and gulls has been a very positive experience for my daughter.

Our son is happy to go into nursery, we love reading about his day. He gets varied forms of play and gets healthy meals which is important to us. Our son has been there since 2016; initially there wasn't much outdoor play which was disappointing. However as the weather improved he seems to be outside every day and at a parents evening the nursery advised it is going to be pushing outdoor play in the future which is reassuring. Communication is good; along with the paper journals we get emails and events are posted at the entrance. We used to get monthly newsletters but missed May - this may be to do with change of management.

We look forward to receiving the newsletters and would like the online journals to be set up for the baby room; appreciate they are looking into this. We prefer that photos are posted via online journals as opposed to Facebook. We welcome the fact that the baby garden space is to be renovated. A separate sleeping room for the baby room would be an asset to the nursery.

Our Daughter is 3yrs old and has attended Buoys and Gulls since she was 15 months old. She has gone through the baby Room to the 2's room and is now in the 3-5 room.

Like all parents who use a facility like this we fell into a bit of a rut of just seeing it as a babysitting service so we could get stuff done, but it isn't.... it really isn't. Whenever our Daughter has transitioned from one room to another we have been given very detailed reports to look back through and it was a surprise to us to see just how much education was going on too. We thought it was us parents doing a great job but the staff at Buoys and Gulls really pay close attention to their development and help them along.

Our Daughter has really blossomed since she went there, as an only child and with no other kids in our street we really wanted her to spend time with other kids and she is now one of the most sociable kids I have ever seen.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend B&G's to anyone looking for first class care.

My son loves coming to the nursery, he gets excited driving through to boddam and gets excited seeing his friends and teachers! This puts me as a mum at ease knowing that he's enjoying it, I love the fact that he's outdoors nearly every session and he loves coming to nursery and being with his friends and teachers. We love seeing his progress on the online journals and his dad loves the fact that he can look at this whilst he's offshore. Would highly reccomend this nursery to friends and family

My daughter always comes home happy from nursery, full of news about the fun she's had and what she's been doing. I would highly recommend Buoys and Gulls Nursery, especially now it has changed managers.

My childcare career spans over 40 years, with 25 of these has been spent managing childcare services.

During this time I have seen many changes, however my passion for childcare and getting it right for every child is still as strong as it was when I first entered the sector.

Within the nursery we provide a warm welcoming, family friendly environment where you can bring your little one feeling confident in the knowledge that you are leaving them with a dedicated team in a safe, warm and nurturing environment that has been developed to offer them a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities.

Our nursery ethos is …..
- Children first every time
- Deliver every day with passion
- Be a positive role model

- Teamwork.

And we strive to offer this to every child in our care, every day
