The Nest Nursery at Pype Hayes provides a warm, home-like environment where babies and young children can feel safe, loved, and secure from their very first days. Established in 2009 on the grounds of Gunter Primary School, it is one of the founding Curiosity Approach® settings, offering exceptional care for children up to four years old.

Designed to feel homely and welcoming, the open-plan space features natural materials, soft lighting, and calming colours, creating a nurturing atmosphere that supports children’s emotional well-being. The carefully curated environment encourages independence, curiosity, creativity, and meaningful play. Highly experienced practitioners provide individualised care, ensuring each child’s needs are met with warmth, patience, and understanding.

Children benefit from a unique Forest School experience, where they engage in outdoor adventures, build confidence, and develop a deep connection with nature. Whether indoors or outdoors, learning is hands-on, immersive, and led by curiosity.

I honestly don’t know where to start. The staff at The Nest are all outstanding, amazing, and wonderful. They go above and beyond for all the children attending and nothing is ever too much.
From the very first settling-in period, all staff seemed so interested in my little boy. He’s a COVID baby
and when it came to me leaving him for the first time- they reassured and supported me so much.
He’s key workers are phenomenal their knowledge of Noah is superb. They are able to identify his areas of strength and use his interests to extend his awe and wonder.
I honestly feel like the staff at the nursery and our extended family. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to help shape Noah’s foundations in learning. I can’t recommend them enough for their hard work and dedication to the children

I have nothing but praise for this wonderful nursery and all of its staff. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, it has been and continues to be the perfect setting for my daughter to grow and flourish as an individual.
The staff are friendly, informative and incredibly on the ball. The innovative
and individual approach to learning helps build such confidence, skills and passions. They also get all the messy activities out the way, which is perfect!

Both my son and daughter have attended The Nest Nursery Pype Hayes over the past 8 years. We have always been impressed with every aspect of their provision and our children have been very happy there. The staff are enthusiastic and dedicated. They allow children to explore freely without constraint
and they encourage a love of learning which will stand children in good stead for the future. Our children have particularly enjoyed the Forest school sessions which encourage them to live in the moment and have an appreciation of the world and all its wonders.

I couldn't recommend a nursery enough, the values and staff are fantastic.
My daughters have both gone to this nursery and never had any issues however if I have needed to ask any questions or needed to know anything staff are always very helpful in answering any questions.

Where do I even start with how much I love The Nest Nursery and the staff who work there. They care for the children like they are their own and always think about the childrens likes and needs. They are so supportive and you can tell they want the best for the children in their care. My daughter is
my second child to attend the nursery, and I was worried it might not have the same feel as before, but it really does. Even in these strange times of Covid, I still get the same energy from all the staff. You can tell that every single member of staff loves their job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks (even people who don’t ask). I believe the fact I put my daughters name down as soon as I found out I was pregnant is a good sign of how amazing I think the staff are. I can never thank them enough for the love and experiences they gave my son and are now giving my daughter.

My daughter attended The Nest Nursery Pyper Hayes two days a week, and loves it!
The outdoor area is lovely, and you'll mainly find her out there. Supportive staff and she comes home and tells us about it all.

My daughter attends The Nest Nursery three days a week and loves it so much. She is excited to come to nursery every day to see her friends and all the lovely caring staff who care for her. I have seen such a big change in her speech and social skills since she has come to nursery. She has so many amazing

Fantastic nursery where my son attends 3 days a week. The Nest staff are really approachable, have extensively supported my son while having additional needs, providing staff with plenty of training opportunities to help with his communication and language needs. I don't pick up or drop off due to being at work early till late but when we are talking and I ask how nursery has been, what they have done, my daughter is happy when she talks about what she has done and who she plays with. As my mom picks her up, my daughter 'has' to say goodbye to everyone individually,
showing she is comfortable at the nursery. Even on days off she will mention members of staff and ask if we can see them.

The nursery is the most welcoming of nurseries. Staff go above and beyond to make my child's experiences a good one. My child is always excited to arrive at nursery to experience the wide range of activities with all natural resources. The love and care I observe my child and others have are endless.
My child particularly enjoys Forest School where there are endless amounts of learning and always at the child's pace. Happy, friendly and secure environment.

My daughter started 2 months ago and she has settled in so well. When she first started, she did not want to use the toilet but with support from her key worker and other staff, she now happily uses it. The nursery setting itself gives her so many opportunities to learn and develop, such as forest school,
the singing lady etc.
All the staff know how my daughter's day has been and all are friendly and approachable. I would 110% recommend this nursery to anyone. The open-plan setting and large outdoor area is the icing on the cake.

My daughter started at Nest when she had just turned 3, she is now nearly 4 and loves 'nursery mornings'. The staff are amazing, the setting is perfect and the food is scrumptious. So happy we chose Nest, we looked into many in the area and I think we found the best.

My son has only been attending The Nest Nursery for 1 month but already seems very happy and settled there. He loves exploring the natural resources and the outdoor space is second to none. The staff are incredibly accommodating of his needs and preferences and have been really welcoming to our family.

The Nest Nursery really is the best. The care and attention they give the children is amazing. The environment is safe and fun and I love the fact the children have lots of artefacts to freely play with. The staff are brilliant and I feel completely at ease leaving my daughter in their care.

I sought out this nursery after a friend had recommended it. I had 5 nurseries lined up to view before selecting - I left the first almost in tears and I never made it past the second. I was so incredibly impressed by the members of the staff and the general ethos of the place that I felt it really
could be a home away from home for my child. He's a very bright little man and I could just see him flourishing in the environment of The Nest. I always feel that my child is carefully taken care of and gently encouraged. Despite the occasional apprehension of being left at nursery ( he has only been going for 3 months) he speaks fondly of staff and takes pleasure in telling me about what has transpired during the day. He loves the outdoors and Nest provides him with ample opportunity to revel in sand and mud! I seriously cannot recommend it enough and I'm already getting excited about my younger son also attended soon!

Lovely, caring nursery. All staff are very kind and easy to approach. The nursery supports my 3-year-old in all aspects of her development. It's like a second home for our child. Couldn't ask any more of the nursery. Very happy with the curiosity approach and how it helps my child to be more curious
and independent too. Both of my girls attended their setting and if we were to have more children. They would definitely come to The Nest.

We have had two kids attend this nursery. The staff have been very accommodating to our children and the children who attend. My eldest (now 7) fell in love with one of the staff members and subsequently, our youngest (2) loves her too. Honestly, this is a very good nursery.
