Kindred Durrington is a warm and welcoming environment where the staff are passionate about the mission to create inspiring worlds full of awe and wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in. By creating days filled with unique moments and opportunities, Kindred are able to truly enrich a child’s development during 0-5 years.

Not only that but Kindred also personally understand what it is to be a parent during this magical time and create meaningful relationships with every parent. Parents will never miss an opportunity to share in the joy of every child’s developmental and learning moments.

Kindred Durrington is located within the heart of Durrington, next to the Infant School and has been awarded an Ofsted 'Good' rating (May 2022).

They offer exceptional childcare and early years education to children aged from 3 months up to 5 years and are open from 7:30am to 6:00pm (with session times to suit your needs).

The nursery has an impressive large outdoor space with mud kitchens and access to a fantastic Forest School. Staff are passionate about loose parts play and follow a Reggio-inspired approach to learning and development.

There is a dedicated parking area for families at the nursery.

My daughter loves being at Kindred - she runs into the building most days! The staff know her well, and she is very settled there as a result. Her language has carried on developing nicely there, and she enjoys the range of activities and interactions with staff. They do fun things - Friday afternoon
disco, which sees her bopping along.

Lovely nursery setting with lovely teachers. My son loves it here. I am truly grateful for all the teachers and how he is progressing over the months.

My daughter has been at the setting for 2 months now and has settled in really well. I have no doubt that the caring and nurturing approach by her key workers has significantly helped this. She seeks comfort and cuddles from them which is heartening and helps me as I transition back to my full-time
employment. Other elements, such as meals and activities, have also been really positive.
I have no areas of concern and would highly recommend the setting to friends.

My son is really settled at Kindred Durrington and the staff are all so kind and caring. He enjoys his days there and has bonded with the staff and other children in the toddler room. Thank you to all the staff for helping him so much.

Food isn’t catered for my child’s needs as it’s hot meals for lunch when he only has finger food. Their alternate food for my child is a banana or a cracker, and that’s not enough for my child when he’s there all day. It is either that or just let the hot meal go cold, and that’s not fair.

Absolute amazing nursery for my son, he has come along brilliantly since starting last October. I cannot fault anything about this nursery. Almost all the workers are very friendly and they seem amazing with the children and my son loves going here too. Highly recommend.

My children are so happy here. The staff are caring and friendly. It has a smaller feel so you never feel like they are just a number. The food is good and they have a big wide field to play on. Have recommended to loads of others.

Fantastic nursery. Staff are friendly and highly professional in all they do. Baby boy loves it there and literally runs in the gate when we arrive. Highly attentive to his needs, nothing is too much trouble. Even in these testing COVID times, they have been first class in their care. Couldn’t ask for

Both my children started at Kindred Durrington as babies and have absolutely thrived; I could be happier with the service provided.
The set up allows for both free, imaginative play as well as more structured preparation for school once they are older.
The staff are excellent, and I particularly
like that they sit at tables for food from the beginning.

The staff are always full of smiles at drop off and collection. They have been great with us changing times a few times due to our work and most of all our child always comes home with a smile and tries new foods we may not have tried at home.

We have been using the nursery for the last 5 years for our 2 children. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and make fantastic connections with the children. This was massively shown during the lockdown period my son continued to be happy and settled throughout the whole time even with all the big
changes going on. This was down to the planning and support the Manager and Toddler room leader provided. All the key workers we have had over the years have shown great care and have really got to know my children and family. They are extremely approachable and supportive.

An absolutely fantastic nursery with the most caring staff.
My son has come on so well and loves attending the nursery, he adores his key worker and has made some lovely friends along the way.
The manager is amazing, she goes above her job role and is so approachable.
SEN leader is fantastic, always
communicating and putting things in place to support families.
Preschool staff provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere and activities that allow the childran to grow and develop.
When your child wants to go to nursery on weekends, half terms and Birthdays you know your child is happy and views the nursery as family.

Hello, my name is Chelsey, and I am the Nursery Manager here at Kindred Durrington.


I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years and have worked in Childcare for 10 years, starting my journey as an apprentice. During this time, I have held a variety of roles and completed different qualifications, whilst developing new skills and interests along the way.


I joined Kindred Durrington in January 2024 and have a passion for creating enabling environments and ensuring every child has access to a range if meaningful learning opportunities.
