Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Tadcaster Road

My daughter has been attending the full-time sessions (5 days a week) for more than a year now. I do not have words to say how happy she is in the nursery. At the beginning it was hard, but the staff (every single girl), they are amazing! You can say they work as a team and look after all the babies/toddlers. Every day is planned and the toddlers really enjoy their day. in addition, they can have extra curriculum lessons. Very happy with the nursery so far!

The review has been provided for a member of staff who works in the pre-school room. She clearly has a wealth of experience working with children. She is able to adapt her style and communication techniques to get the best out of the children. She is passionate about their development and this clearly shows. She gets to know each child really well, understanding their likes/dislikes to get the best out of them and encourage them. She has a very warm personable and engaging personality. I can always rely on her to provide me with updates/my child's development etc. I feel assured my child is safe in her care. I cannot praise or recommend her enough and my daughter adores her.

I honestly couldn't wish for a better standard of nursery for my two boys to attend. The staff here are fantastic and care for my children in the best possible way. The facilities are brilliant, extra activities such as Forest School and French classes. It really is fantastic. Would recommend without hesitation!

This nursery is excellent and my little boy has blossomed and gained in confidence because of his experience at Little Green Rascals. The staff are kind and caring, the facilities conducive to learning and the food is good quality and nutritious. Even if I were not working I would send my son here for a rounded early-life experience.

I found the transition back to work a lot easier with the help of all the staff ay my son's nursery, he settled well and quickly with the help of his key worker. They are a lovely team who have lots of different activities for the children to play and learn with. They have lots of outdoor areas for the children to play in. The staff made me feel happy with my choice of nursery as nothing is too much. My son is always happy to be left and that's a massive bonus for me.

It's no surprise that this is one of the most sought after nurseries in York. The setting is absolutely fantastic, the staff genuinely care about the children and the focus on enjoyment and development is commendable. As a parent, I find it totally reassuring that my child's key worker is focused on her overall well-being and her development has been astounding over the last few months - evidence of the wonderful range of activities undertaken by the staff. We love Little Green Rascals!

Little Green Rascals has provided fantastic care to both my 3-year-old son and my 11-month-old daughter. Staff are well qualified, attentive to detail and take a personal interest in each child they are in contact with. We have encountered lots of key workers as our children have moved through the rooms. Each one has been equally caring and competent and always without complaint.

We are extremely happy with Little Green Rascals. My little girl has been there since she was 12 months, she's now 3 years old and in the Busy Bumble Bee's room. The nursery offers her so many opportunities to play and learn getting lots of outdoor time. She is currently enjoying Forest school yoga and Ballet lessons, but there are even more options to choose from such as French, Spanish, Rugby etc. My daughter's key person knows her inside out and she has documented a fantastic record of her development and learning plan. There is always a clear topic for the week 1 month etc with lots of fun activities based around this. For example Chinese New Year, the weather etc. The nursery has always been very focused on treating my daughter as an individual especially when it comes to room transitions and selecting her key person. The food is brilliant, all freshly prepared, organic meals with lots of variety. Overall we thoroughly recommend Little Green Rascals and we are happy to have both our children at the nursery.

My little boy has been at Little Green Rascals for 4 months now and he absolutely loves it! He is in wiggly worms! The baby room is fantastic - a real home from home. The wiggly worms team totally understand what it feels like for you to leave your baby in a new environment and really tailor the settling in period to your baby. My little boy has a rare medical condition and the whole team has undertaken training with a local medical professional to understand this better and look after him. His key person has been especially proactive in learning about this and monitoring his progress. His key person is always keen to find out what he has been up to at home and vice versa, what he has been up to at nursery! He has a broad range of fun learning experiences and has come on leaps and bounds since joining. We are very pleased and highly recommend Little Green Rascals.

Little Green Rascals is an outstanding nursery. The staff in particular, are warm and friendly and have gone the extra mile to ensure our children are happy and settled at nursery. The opportunities available are also fantastic and we believe our child's development is regarded as a top priority.

During the month of January my daughter's key worker has worked tirelessly on building her self-confidence. Once a timid shy 3-year-old in the nursery setting is no longer. My daughter has been promoted by her key worker to find her voice and she can now be seen talking more openly and freely to staff and other children.

I've been very impressed with all aspects of the nursery since our son started 2 months ago. All the staff I've met have been lovely, friendly and really good with the children. He gets a varied range of activities whilst he's at nursery which is great. Any potential issues e.g rashes, reaction have been spotted and brought to our attention with possible solutions offered. The keyworker is lovely and seems to bond well with our son.

Brilliant!!. My daughter has started in the baby room at 10 months. Our minds were put at ease due to how friendly and professional the staff have been. They have been so welcoming, my daughter has settled well and feels secure and happy in her new environment. On the first day I received a "mummy bag" which contained treats to cheer me up on what was a difficult day leaving my daughter for the first time, these extra touches really make a difference.

Exceptional, professional care that takes into account personal parental preferences. Nothing is too much for the team at Little Green Rascals. I always feel confident that my children are well looked after and that their educational and nutritional need are met. Great facilities, great food and a fun stimulating environment.

Little Green Rascals is a fantastic nursery, the staff are wonderful and I enjoy dropping them off there as I know they will have a great time and be perfectly cared for.

Little Green Rascals is an excellent nursery; the building and gardens are perfect for little ones, with every age (0-4) catered for. My little one is always delighted to arrive at nursery, and they always provide a variety of activities to entertain and stimulate development. The level of communication we receive from the nursery is outstanding; especially from her key worker. I would definitely recommend LGR to anyone looking for a happy and caring environment for their child!

We love everything about Little Green Rascals. From the friendly and warm care workers, the helpful and involved management to the organic food, the opportunity to do forest school, the focus on creative play, the way they help the little ones develop. I have two children in the nursery and they are both so happy there. We wish Little Green Rascals did Primary and Secondary schools because we'd be sending our kids there too!

My son has attended Little Green Rascals for 2 years since he turned one. The facilities and staff are second to none, it is a lovely, welcoming place that I would not hesitate to recommend.
