Great experience of recently moving to Sandleford and our son into toddlers, then pre-school. Despite plenty of anxieties moving from a nursery in London, the team allayed them and have been wonderful.

Sandleford is an excellent nursery. The staff are absolutely fantastic, our daughter loves attending, and is always smiling at drop off and pick up. We get regular updates throughout each day, and there is always some fun and interesting activities to report on.

Sandleford nursery has been incredible at looking after my daughter and adapting to suit her learning style/help her overcome some issues she was having. The staff are all brilliant, and I trust them completely. The cleanliness, management, facilities and the learning they provide are all excellent.

Our son enrolled at Sandleford Nursery at the beginning of January, and we have had an amazing experience so far. The whole team have been incredibly welcoming and reassuring in every way possible. It really put me at ease leaving our son with them. They made our son feel comfortable and cared for.
Sandleford has excellent facilities both indoors and outdoors. They are able to accommodate my son's milk allergy with ease, which again, is very reassuring.
We also find their communication very good, and the app is brilliant!

Sadly our daughter had only just started nursery when all schools and nurseries were asked to close due to the coronavirus. However, prior to this, our daughter was welcomed into the nursery by all of the teachers. It was quite apparent that she had gained in confidence thanks to the nursery and was
starting to make friends. The nursery has a good daily structure and it is apparent the nursery teachers really help to stimulate the children and help them grow and develop. Furthermore, we have been so impressed by the continued support from the nursery during the UK's lockdown: links to learning websites, songs to sing, recipes to try, etc. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Sandleford since she was ten months old and now approaching three she’ll soon be going up to preschool. She loves nursery even though sometimes it’s a struggle to get her to go in but when I pick her up she never wants to leave. Both baby and toddler rooms have been really
good for her academic and social development.
It’s never easy to leave your child but I feel happy and confident knowing she’s in the best place where she can learn, grow and play with her friends. She has built amazing bonds with all the staff and especially her key workers.

My son has been attending Sandleford from the age of around 1-year-old, 2.5 years on and he still loves it. The transition from the different rooms has been seamless with the help of the friendly, attentive ladies who work there. They made my son feel welcome and made me feel happy enough to walk away
knowing that he was in safe hands. The outdoor space is amazing. It's a great place to learn, play and make friends.

Sandleford is a fantastic nursery and I have been happy and confident leaving my children in the care of the staff. The children have busy and fun days and have access to the great facilities at St Gabriel’s. My children love having PE in the Sports Hall and love going on outdoor adventures in the St
Gabriel’s grounds.
There is a good amount of space both indoors and outdoors, and a good balance between playing and learning.
I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Our nearly 3-year-old daughter attends Sandleford and has done for nearly 2 years now. If she was writing this review, her words would be “I love it”. She truly does. She can’t wait to go in and never wants to come home.
Having only ever left her a handful of times before she started nursery, we were
very apprehensive about how she would settle in. The staff were super supportive and let me linger as long as I needed to. It’s the hardest thing to leave your precious child in what effectively starts off as the hands of strangers but it was such a brilliant transition. We couldn’t believe how quickly she settled into nursery. We are super impressed with the progress she has made whilst attending Sandleford, both from an academic side but also her interpersonal skills. Only this week, we attended her first nativity and it was magical. Exceeded any expectations we had.
The staff genuinely care about the children.

My son (Toddler Room) loves the free flow from indoors to outside, with lots of space to burn off his energy. Teachers from the school take lessons and my son really enjoys storytime with the school librarian. The children also get to explore the school. Both male and female staff which is important.
With severe allergies, the nursery has excellent safeguards in place.

Whilst the Headmaster of St Gabriel’s was very helpful when my concerns were raised. My experience of Sandleford for my son was not positive. Their provision for babies is less than adequate and their safeguarding procedures in terms of access to the site caused me undue concern. There were high levels
of agency staff and it was never clear whom our key worker was despite requests for clarity. Having moved to another provider - it highlights further how awful the experience of Sandleford was.

I was immediately taken by Sandleford at my first visit. All the staff are genuinely interested in the wellbeing and development of the children there. Their facilities are amazing. Since my child started attending, he has developed by leaps and bounds. More importantly, he always seemed keen to attend
and was happy when we pick him up. The food serviced to the children there regularly made me and my husband envious. I feel very fortunate that there is such a good childcare option at our disposal.

The best gift I gave to my child so far is by sending him to this nursery. As a child he is learning good manners and etiquettes. Also the progress and growth of my child is commendable. Many thanks to the staff who looks after and take care of my baby.

Since she has been at Sandleford, our daughter has developed and flourished as never before. She receives keen personal attention from the excellent staff and we receive daily updates. There’s always an opportunity to discuss her progress. The facilities are superb and varied, and the opportunity to
explore the grounds as part of her outdoor class. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My three-year-old daughter absolutely loves Sandleford. She wakes up every morning happy to go to school, where she's greeted with genuine warmth by every adult she sees and welcomed into the class with open arms. My husband and I were surprised how easily she took to it since she had never been to
the nursery before. She loves the instruction time, the inventive play, and the fact that the play is structured, meaning while the children do have free time to do whatever they wish, they also have designated game time, learning time and rest time. She's making friends and her independence is increasing by the day. We are so impressed that we plan to keep her at St. Gabriel's for her entire academic tenure. We absolutely would recommend Sandleford to anyone who wants a high-quality nursery for their child.

My son has now been attending the nursery for 2 years and I am constantly surprised by the care and attention provided, the speed in which he is developing and the skills that he is learning.


Not only do they provide a structured day but the interaction with the parents is fantastic. Stay and play

mornings for parents and grandparents are a brilliant way in which they engage all carers. Regular meetings are also held to discuss your child's development and key areas in which they are excelling and other areas they may need more help with.


The fact that my son asks to go to nursery at weekends and doesn't want to come home in the evenings is a true testament to the team at Sandleford and that he is having such a great time.


Sandleford nursery and its staff in my eyes are an absolutely amazing team.
