Our boy has settled in very quickly thanks to the care & attention of the manager and her staff. The facilities provided at Sandleford/St Gabriel’s are superb which is ideal for our Son who loves to be outdoors. I would have no hesitation on recommending Sandleford to any other parent.

Sandleford is the most wonderful nursery! My son has progressed from the baby room to toddlers seamlessly. This is a testament to the care and professionalism of all the staff. The facilities are outstanding and the little ones benefit from sharing facilities with the main school. There is a structured
programme throughout the day but with a huge variety of activities and plenty of fun! I have already signed up my new arrival.

My 3-year-old daughter started at Sandleford in September. We have been so impressed by how much she has developed since starting. The staff are passionate and caring, including specialist PE and music staff from the main school. The children use the gym at the school so have access to facilities
rarely available at a nursery.


The environment is free flow and so the children can often get outside and because part of the outside area is covered they can still play even if there is a little rain. The nursery is always lovely and clean. We have found the management very supportive and the range of activities offered is excellent.


My daughter was always hungry when she came home from the previous nursery but now declines any food at the end of the day, so from a 3-year-old perspective the food is clearly good. The menus are on display so I know that she is eating good quality balanced meals.


My daughter is excited to go to pre-school - I can't say anymore except a big thank you.

I would highly recommend Sandleford, St Gabriels Nursery to friends and family. My daughter has been attending this nursery since it opened in September 2014. She has moved through from Babies to Toddlers and is now in Pre-School, the transition has been seamless. She has always been well cared for
by all the staff and I feel I receive relevant and regular updates on her progress. They always listen and help if my child requires any additional support. My daughter loves coming into nursery every day, there is a wide variety of activities (esp.utilising the wonderful grounds) and she has formed some firm friendships.

Friendly dedicated staff with lots for the children to see and do. My child loves going to Sandleford, St Gabriels and the staff there really seem to love having her. Sandleford, St Gabriels is set in lovely grounds with lots of heritage.

We have previously used 2 private nurseries in the Newbury area. Neither of which we were satisfied with. We decided to take our time and research 5 more in order to make the best decision for enrollment in September 2017. Sandleford was the 4th nursery we visited and we were completely blown away by
the facilities available. Also, the efforts that staff to go to ensure we and our child are happy and safe here are remarkable. We ended up enrolling our child 7 months earlier than intended just because of how impressed we were. The facilities available are by far the best we have seen compared to the other 6 nurseries we visited. If you're currently researching nurseries then this one definitely has to be on the list to visit.

I cannot recommend Sandleford St Gabriels nursery enough. It's a beautiful place to let your child grow. The environment is very good and the teachers are fantastic. They care about kids and always listening to help grow with the kid's needs. My son has been going since it opened in September 2014.
He has grown into a beautiful confident child inspiring us everyday. I will give a 5/5 to Sandleford.

Our daughter(2) loves her time at Sandleford St Gabriels. My wife and I are over the moon at how all three of us are treated by the staff there. The facilities for the children are excellent. They have the opportunity to use the extensive grounds to supplement the wonderful indoor learning and play.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They genuinely care. They were brilliant at helping my daughter assimilate into the nursery environment. The best way to gauge if things are going well is by my daughter's reaction when she gets to the door of the baby room - her face lights up when she sees the
staff and there are big smiles all around from the entire Baby team. As long as my daughter is happy, I am happy.

My daughter is in pre-school at Sandleford and loves it. She can't wait to go in and see her friends every day and comes home full of enthusiasm about what they have all been doing.
They have a wide range of activities and the access to staff and pupils from the main school is an added bonus. They
also use the main school grounds for walks and exploring which is wonderful.
The staff are lovely and have a genuine affection for the children, it feels like she is just going to a second home for the day.
I highly recommend this nursery.

Fantastic facilities with great staff who genuinely seem happy and excited to spend time to nurture, grow and expand the children's minds.
My daughter is excited about going to school in the morning and doesn't want to leave when it's time - that says it all.

Although not having everyday contact with Sandleford, St Gabriels, we have noticed how much our granddaughter has progressed. She continues to develop and has good communication skills, is very creative which has been encouraged whilst in pre-school.
The first time we called we were vetted very seriously
even though the reaction from our granddaughter was evidence as to who we were. They obviously take this aspect very seriously which is very positive and gives confidence for the child's welfare.
The staff were very attentive and all the children in the class were very engrossed in the lesson being given. From the limited contact, we are impressed with the care and attention given and would have no issues in recommending St Gabriels.

Our daughter is really happy here. The staff are excellent, caring, helpful and friendly but set sensible boundaries and encourage good values amongst the children. The facilities are really good and the children have a good mix of different activities, rest and quiet time, helping tidy, learning, outdoors,
cooking, creative, play etc. Sometimes I go to pick her up at the end of the day and she doesn't want to come home!

Such a wonderful nursery with dedicated, trustworthy and friendly staff. My daughter has been so happy at this nursey for the last few years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The extra things the nursery do is above and beyond and I love the outside space they have.
The Christmas concert was a highlight;
having the hall and help from the main school really helps and adds that extra special something to the nursery.
Overall, great staff, great resources and happy children, winner!

The facilities are excellent and the nursery benefits with being a central part of the St Gabriels school. The grounds offer an excellent outside space for walks and general exploring.
The nursery is in a very secure location with excellent safe play areas.
The food always goes down well.

Sandleford is everything I sought in a nursery for my son - and more!! The facilities are second to none, supported by an incredible team of staff who do an excellent job of both caring for and stimulating my son, whilst giving me the reassurance that he is having an insightful and enjoyable experience
whilst at nursery.
I particularly like the outdoor space that has been created to bring together various age groups and the extended grounds that allow the children to go walking, explore and observe the animals - a particular favourite for my son!
