Partou Chiltern Avenue Day Nursery & Pre-School, is a warm and welcoming nursery providing high-quality care and delivering outstanding outcomes for their children. Open Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, 51 weeks of the year.

They offer stimulating and engaging spaces for children to grow and develop in, with lots of natural resources providing fantastic opportunities for children to explore, play and learn.

Their highly trained practitioners believe in nurturing children’s individual interests to help them develop and grow in all areas of their education and well being. Learning through play is at the heart of what they do.

Freshly prepared meals are offered on site, catering for allergies and special dietary requirements.

The ethos which is followed is believed that children should be allowed to be children and the adults who look after them should believe that too. They use real and authentic items in play which provides many more learning opportunities and encourages children to have proper experiences.

Daybreak Amersham is our third nursery (as we have moved twice) and it is by far the best. The staff really make this place. They are kind, attentive and very communicative and always take time to talk to us and give useful feedback.
The educational emails are really helpful too with geat photos, that
always brighten my day at work.
Daybreak has great facilities, is lovely and bright and always clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending Daybreak to other families.

My little girl stared at Daybreak when she was 10 months old. The settling period was so helpful. She had time in the nursery with me and without, and her main carers visited her at home so they understood her better and they were familiar to her. She has really loved her time at Daybreak and has travelled
from baby room through Little Sunshines in the preschool. I have to say I have always felt the staff really care about her. They have all made an effort to know her and go the extra mile. The emergency days have also been so helpful as I work a shift pattern and at times have needed time not in her usual hours. Thank you so much to all.

My son has been at Daybreak for over a year now. He has settled well thanks to the staff and is very happy at the nursery. He has fun and has been learning lots too. The blossom app is great - I love seeing the pictures of what he's been up to! Would highly recommend.

I have two boys, my youngest is now in Big Sunshines and my eldest left Daybreak in September to start school. Both my children have been with Daybreak since they were small(er), starting off at ATC.


Throughout their time with Daybreak I have never once had any concerns for their wellbeing. The

staff are all very friendly and really engage with the children, activities are varied and keep them interested and stimulated, and the food, well, they eat more varied food than I do so no complaints there either. The children are clearly well looked after and enjoy their time there.
The Blossom app is a great addition to the nurseries, meaning that as a parent you get more detailed (and photographic) information regarding their day but also means that the hand-over at the end of the day when you just want to get home is smooth and straight-forward.

Daybreak is a fantastic nursery. My son has some speech and learning issues and all the staff have gone above and beyond in order to support him. The staff are friendly, approachable, and so very caring. The days are well structured, educational and fun. This is a brilliant setting to prepare pre-school
children for the transition to 'big school'. Best choice I could have made for my child!

My son has recently transitioned to the Little Sunshine’s room, he has settled well, the staff are caring, attentive and their activities are engaging. I really like the parent app and enjoy receiving daily updates as I have little contact with dropping off and picking up. This really helps with communication.
The management team are always helpful and the staff too.

The nursery staff are fantastic. They manage to strike the perfect balance between play and education. They also have a clear set of rules and have clearly planned the day in advance so that the children are always fully engaged. The plethora of food served is also first class.

We have been very happy with our daughters time in the 'Little Sunshine's Room'. The carers really care for her and have taken time to invest in her learning and development. We like the activities planned and there appears to be more effort recently in planning arts and crafts activities and also local
outings which our daughter has enjoyed. She has recently had some health problems but her key carer and manager have been excellent in managing this and reassuring us in the event that she became unwell at nursery with a robust structured health plan.

My daughter enjoys going to nursery and we are happy with the care she receives in Big Sunshines. She has bonded really well with her Key Worker and she will talk happily about them outside of nursery.
The management team is strong. Emails are answered promptly and politely and nothing is ever too
much trouble. All members of staff are friendly and approachable. My daughter has particularly enjoyed the excursions outside of the nursery- to the library, the park, the market, the theatre and the fire station. I am impressed that the team are able to do so many trips with the two and three year olds - it cannot be easy!
I would like the owners of Daybreak to look at their fee structure, as they charge a top-up fee for parents using the 15 and 30 hours government funded childcare. I completely understand the reasons behind this, but it does make Daybreak expensive compared to other local childcare facilities.

Our daughter has been with Daybreak for over 2 and a half years now and has really enjoyed her time there. She is always very happy to go in the mornings, has made lots of friends and talks about what she has done each day with enthusiasm. The staff are really friendly and helpful, giving excellent
updates on her development. Overall, we are really pleased with Daybreak and would highly recommend it.

The staff are really nice and good. They are always there for me and my child and always take the time to talk to us.
Their garden is really nice, the children have a variety of toys to play with in the garden, they even go for walks outside of nursery which is nice.
In the preschool room, my child
has learnt so much, they keep the kids entertained. They do different activities, especially as my daughter needs this as she is hard work sometimes but they do keep her busy.
The room has changed so much with the room leader, he is so good and has made the room what it is today, making lovely changes.
I see changes in my daughter which is lovely to see. My daughter always talks about nursery and she is happy and so am I. Wouldn't have chosen a better nursery for my daughter really happy I appreciate the nursery and what they all work so hard made it what it is today. My daughter really enjoys the fresh food they have an on-site chef always cooking different food which is nice. My daughter even does top banana cooking she really likes this every week.

My daughter thrived at Daybreak and enjoyed her time there. The staff are kind, caring and fun, and it was easy to build a good rapport with them. The management was always approachable and responded quickly, positively and proactively to any problems I raised. They instituted a parent rep system which
worked well. I also recommend the paid cooking classes that are held there.
Although they have made the best of it, the nursery's outside play area is small and I think the nursery could make much more use of the large parks and playgrounds nearby.
Overall, I am happy to recommend the nursery.

My daughter enjoys going to Daybreak. Staff seem attentive and observant. I have appreciated the regular parent's evenings where my daughter's development has been discussed with me. I find it would be helpful to be kept up to date of progress between these sessions, but understand in a busy nursery
this isn't always possible. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

My son has been at Daybreak since October 2014, he absolutely loves nursery and I have found the staff very friendly, accommodating, open to suggestions and always trying to improve their facilities. my son adores the Mud Kitchen in Amersham Chiltern Avenue and will spend as much time playing in it
come rain or shine.


The staff at Amersham Chiltern Avenue take pride in their jobs and want to ensure all of the children develop and are ready for pre-school or eventually school, with initiatives from serving their own breakfast, helping with table preparation for lunch and dinner, getting used to cleaning their teeth (with nursery supplied teeth brushes). Everything about learning is through play including writing and understanding letters and numbers.


They have Click it, French and Cooking lessons, which my son is excited to do each week .


The staff are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them and I always feel so important to them when I collect my son every day.

My 1-year-old son has recently started at Daybreak Nurseries and I could not be happier.
The ladies who look after him are caring and attentive and all the staff know him and me and are lovely and friendly. My son does different activities every day and is getting exposure to things I would really

We moved to Amersham area in December 2017 which meant our son needed to change his nursery. We were a bit worried about him changing because he was always unsettled when changing rooms etc.
The Daybreak nursery was absolutely brilliant and continues to be. The nursery staff were incredibly caring
and paid close attention to our son's needs, kept updating us on the progress to ensure our son settles in and is happy. Our son has now been in the nursery for 2 months and he is happy and thriving, he is looking forward to going to nursery and makes a great progress.
My husband and I couldn't be happier with the nursery. The carers use a lot of their own initiative to ensure the children are happy, which is what we really appreciate. They are very genuine and we have full trust in them looking after our son Monday till Friday.
We would recommend Daybreak nursery to anyone without hesitation.
