Kids Planet Salford

So happy I chose this nursery, my son has come on massively and the staff are amazing. My son has had so much support with the staff, my son loves going to nursery and he has a great relationship with his key worker.

My little boy has been going to this nursery since he was nine months old and he is now in preschool. Staff have always been very nice and supportive towards his development and education. We get assessments about his skills development from interpersonal and social skills to literacy and math's skills. Via the app we also know their meals, sleeping and toilet habits daily, which I have found very helpful. The range of healthy meals and snacks are great! I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son started in the baby room and has moved up to toddlers. I cannot praise the staff enough. He is my first child and like any parent, we want the best for our children. I was really nervous about putting my son into the nursery but as they say, needs must. Since my son has started nursery he has come on leaps and bounds. He was a fussy eater at home but having his meals at nursery, he will now try anything. He enjoys playing with his friends and learning new things. This gives him the opportunity to learn to share and be around children of his own age, as all his cousins are much older. The staff give their all and my son has had no trouble bonding with a member of staff in each room he has been in, which has given me the reassurance that he was happy to be there. I love the parent zone app as it gives me the opportunity to see what he has been up to throughout the day. The staff use this app to put anything that you need to know on and give you a handover at the end of the day. Great service.

My little girl only started here in February and what an amazing nursery so far. In this short time, my child has learnt a lot and her speech is coming on so well. The staff have been amazing throughout this pandemic. I love the way that the staff engage with the children when parents drop and pick up their children. My son has special needs, it was hard for us both the first day but I saw how nice the staff are and I said that he will definitely be in good hands and so he was. We all want the best for our munchkins, I believe I found the best nursery. While touring the building, the staff was professional, answering my 1001 questions, showing the CCTV camera and safeguarding system in place, and explaining how my daughter’s day would be. It was reassuring, but I was still emotional on her first day. It was the caring staff (most of whom are mothers themselves); who reassured me, explaining that I could call the nursery or download their parent zone app to check on my child. It was a blessing to connect to the app and have a photo and video of my child enjoying indoor and outdoor activities and to know what she ate. Fast forward from 2019; my child is still there, because of the caring staff, the observation reports on the app and the fantastic communication skills from the management. I enjoy the quick account of how her day went at the pickup. I am still emotional at the drop off only because this time my child cannot wait to let my hand go to get to the nursery.

We currently have 2 children who attend this nursery and are extremely pleased with the care they receive. The staff engage with the children from the moment we drop them off at the door and give good handover information when we pick them up. Both children are very excited to go to nursery and happily tell us about the things they have been doing during the day. The nursery uses an online app that helps us feel connected to the children while they are attending nursery. The meals provided by nursery have always been excellent - and the kitchen staff were happy to accommodate a milk allergy. We would definitely recommend!

Absolutely lovely staff both in Toddlers and Preschool groups. My child needed more time to get used to the nursery, but they all seem to be super helpful and great with kids. You must be proud of the amazing job you're doing!

We are so happy we chose Kids Planet for our little one. We've been impressed how they've handled the Covid situation and know our child is in a safe environment. The social, creative and physical activities have proved invaluable in our child's development, the staff are so attentive and give good feedback. The food (made on-site) always sounds amazing too!

My little girl has just recently started this nursery this week due to such short notice that I gave them. They were so helpful they made me feel so comfortable from get go, am very confident that my daughter is going to be looked after. Over the day and a half she’s spent there she’s come home so happy, speaks very highly of her teachers. Very happy with the experience with this nursery.

Excellent nursery and lovely staff. My daughter has been going there since she was 6-months-old and loves it, although it will be her last week next week before she starts reception! She is really going to miss it and all the staff. Brilliant nursery. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely adore the staff and the facilities at Kids Planet. Our daughter started there just before her first birthday when I had to return to work and she has thrived there over the past 13+ months. We are kept fully informed of her care and development via the app, daily conversations at drop off and pick up, emailed assessments, parents evenings and Facebook updates. We always feel informed and confident, and it is clear in our daughter’s behaviour how much she enjoys her time at Kids Planet - she comes home full of stories about her key workers and friends. We specifically chose this nursery due to its convenient location for our commute, its Outstanding rating from Ofsted and its focus on outdoor play (since our daughter would spend her whole life going on muddy adventures if she could!). We cannot think of any aspect of Kids Planet that does not meet the high standards that every parent has for the well-being, safety and learning environment of their children.

My daughter loves being there and has formed a great bond with the staff that look after her. Leaving your child is a very daunting thing but I feel confident and comfortable leaving her in the nurseries care. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I am very impressed with the staff and management of the Kids Planet Nursery in Salford. Friendly, experienced and very dedicated. I am so grateful that I found this nursery and they put my son on their records straight away. I am very impressed by how quickly we did it. We moved to Manchester from Hemel Hempstead (close to London) where parents need to put their child on the list at least a year in advance to get a place for them. We had to wait six months until they found a free place for our son. Ridiculous. Our son is two-and-a-half years old and a cheerful little chap and he has never been in nursery before, so we were struggling a bit with him. We found an incredible team of dedicated staff who constantly strive to improve the care and environment for the children. They are also always available to parents for advice and support. Don't forget to look into their Ofsted report which is outstanding. Thank you.

This nursery and all the staff are approachable, professional and my little boy loves it here. He has made lots of friends in the pre-school room and has settled really well. The only thing I would say is that he was allocated someone who I presume is the lady who my little boy is most confident with and I've only seen her once when I've picked him up in the four sessions he's been in there. A little more information on what he's been learning throughout the day and what his learning plan is would be brilliant. And maybe a few more updates on what he's been up to throughout the day on their app. Other than that, he really looks forward to going and I can see how much he's coming on. He's very happy here.

I am happy I chose this nursery. Certain members of staff take their time to make me feel comfortable as my daughter took a while to settle and it used to trigger my anxiety. They would go out of their way to help more and distract my daughter. I do think there is room for improvement in some areas. The coat hooks are never correct and we have lost a few items of clothing over time. Some staff tend to be just sat around rather than being active and joining in with the children with the activities. And I think some rules are not followed. For example, one day recently I brought my daughter into the nursery and she brought an apple up from reception. She was told to sit at the snack table as she couldn't go into the other half of the nursery with her food. Yet a few seconds later a child appeared with a bread stick out of the other side and also another with an apple. I didn't quite understand this? However, its a shame names cannot be mentioned because there are some amazing staff too.

My son started here in the baby room in June 2019. I was extremely anxious about returning to work and leaving him. Within the few months he has attended, he has developed so much. The staff are fantastic with him, I find it very reassuring when he puts his arms out towards his key worker. My little one really does like it there, he’s safe, cared for to a high standard and most of all the staff really care about the children and go the extra mile for them.

My daughter loves attending pre school here, the staff are excellent and friendly. I don’t have any concerns when she’s there and I love being able to log into the parents' app to see what she’s been doing throughout the day. She’s learnt so much since being there and it has massively helped her get ready for school.
