Kids Planet Salford opened in August 2014 and was rated Ofsted 'Outstanding' in 2015. This purpose-built nursery is located on the corner of Eccles Old Road and Langworthy Road and in close proximity to Media City, Salford Quays and Manchester City Centre.

The nursery benefits from four open plan rooms with direct access to safe and secure outdoor play areas, offering children an exciting area in which to play outside. There is also a separate roof terrace playground for preschool children.

All children at the nursery have access to a sensory room, which offers children a relaxing environment in which to explore the different textures and light forms.

Meals and snacks are freshly prepared by a qualified nursery chef on the premises who caters for their individual needs. The chef operates a six weekly menu.

Access into the nursery is through a state-of-the-art finger print entry system; all internal doors are staff key fob operated and each room and outdoor area has CCTV. The nursery also has an intercom system as standard, ensuring that each child's safety is paramount at all times.

My 1 year old daughter attends this nursery and she absolutely loves it. She is excited to go there in the morning and is always smiling when I pick her up. The staff are lovely and genuinely care about the children they look after. The rooms are stimulating, safe and clean. It is nice to be able to
go to work and know that my child is being well looked after while I am apart from her.

Our little girl has been going to this nursery for a year, we transitioned her here from another nursery after doing a tour with the manager and having the confidence that this was the best nursery for her in the area. They haven't disappointed, the staff are always friendly, professional, attentive
and thorough. The setting is lovely and they always have a jam-packed day of activities and fun events planned in. Handovers are always detailed and the app is one of my favourite things as I get updates whilst I'm at work on what she is up to. She comes home telling us all what a great day she has and since starting here her speech and emotional development has been exceptional. Big shout out to the staff who worked with her in the toddler room to work on her emotions. All the team are fantastic and I can't thank them enough. We are due to move out of the area and have already decided we will be keeping her here as they are the best. She also eats very well and we often turn up and want to stay.

My second son is now at Kid’s Planet and I have had great experiences with both. The staff are lovely and have a lovely relationship with my son. The provisions are brilliant - resources and lovely rooms. I would definitely recommend (and have done already) this nursery.

My child joined Kids Planet Salford last year in April, I must say they are wonderful and highly professional, friendly staff, accommodating environment for the kids, my son settled in more quickly than I expected because he's mummy's boy.

Friendly, pleasant staff that seem to really care about the children. There seems to be a good range of activities at the nursery, including a sensory room. Our child enjoys attending and appears to be developing well. There is outdoor space that seems well resourced. Meals seem to be varied and of
good quality, particularly the meal at midday. It is good to be kept up to date via the parent's app.

Great place with friendly and skilled staff and as for the manager I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how nice, amazing and helpful she has been throughout. She seems to be very passionate about her role because she has always tried to put me at ease at all times. My son loves to go there
and he has improved his speaking, listening, sharing, and confidence since he started. I feel confident when I leave him there because I know staff members are taking good care of him. I would really like to mention the key worker who has supported and cared for my son from May until July. My son is ready to start school in September with confidence. I wish I knew about this nursery before as I had a bad experience with my son's previous nursery. Overall all the staff at Kids Planet Nursery Salford are extremely professional and skilled. I will definitely recommend this nursery to my family and friends.

I have two children at Kids Planet and have had a great experience with both. The nursery staff are friendly and caring and always happy to answer any questions and make time for parents. I’m always impressed that all the staff across different rooms know the names of my children.
Both children enjoy
going, report lots of interesting activities and have great relationships with their key workers.
Nursery have kept us well informed about their commitment to protecting staff and children during COVID.

I'm so glad I picked this nursery for my child, the staff are lovely and make you feel settled as you leave your child and also when you pick them up. They always update you on what's happened that day. My son has come on so much being here and gets excited to go, the nursery itself is spacious and
clean and nothing is ever too much for the staff. I know my son will be sad to leave when he goes to school in September.

Picking a nursery is so hard, you want the best for your little one and I firmly believe that's what we found with this nursery. On our viewing, they were receptive to all our questions, showed us the full range of facilities and we could tell from the atmosphere in each of the rooms that we wanted

My little boy has been going to this nursery since he was nine months old and he is now in preschool. Staff have always been very nice and supportive towards his development and education. We get assessments about his skills development from interpersonal and social skills to literacy and math's skills.
Via the app we also know their meals, sleeping and toilet habits daily, which I have found very helpful. The range of healthy meals and snacks are great! I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son started in the baby room and has moved up to toddlers. I cannot praise the staff enough. He is my first child and like any parent, we want the best for our children. I was really nervous about putting my son into the nursery but as they say, needs must. Since my son has started nursery he has
come on leaps and bounds. He was a fussy eater at home but having his meals at nursery, he will now try anything. He enjoys playing with his friends and learning new things. This gives him the opportunity to learn to share and be around children of his own age, as all his cousins are much older. The staff give their all and my son has had no trouble bonding with a member of staff in each room he has been in, which has given me the reassurance that he was happy to be there. I love the parent zone app as it gives me the opportunity to see what he has been up to throughout the day. The staff use this app to put anything that you need to know on and give you a handover at the end of the day. Great service.

My son has special needs, it was hard for us both the first day but I saw how nice the staff are and I said that he will definitely be in good hands and so he was. We all want the best for our munchkins, I believe I found the best nursery. While touring the building, the staff was professional, answering my 1001 questions, showing the CCTV camera and safeguarding system in place, and explaining how my daughter’s day would be. It was reassuring, but I was still
emotional on her first day. It was the caring staff (most of whom are mothers themselves); who reassured me, explaining that I could call the nursery or download their parent zone app to check on my child. It was a blessing to connect to the app and have a photo and video of my child enjoying indoor and outdoor activities and to know what she ate. Fast forward from 2019; my child is still there, because of the caring staff, the observation reports on the app and the fantastic communication skills from the management. I enjoy the quick account of how her day went at the pickup. I am still emotional at the drop off only because this time my child cannot wait to let my hand go to get to the nursery.

We currently have 2 children who attend this nursery and are extremely pleased with the care they receive. The staff engage with the children from the moment we drop them off at the door and give good handover information when we pick them up. Both children are very excited to go to nursery and happily
tell us about the things they have been doing during the day. The nursery uses an online app that helps us feel connected to the children while they are attending nursery. The meals provided by nursery have always been excellent - and the kitchen staff were happy to accommodate a milk allergy. We would definitely recommend!

My daughter has been with this nursery for almost a year now and she absolutely loves it. She comes home tired after a fun day of activities with her friends. I like being able to have a chat with her key workers about what she’s eaten and what she’s been up to that day. I would like to know a little
bit more about what activities she has enjoyed the most. I can tell that she is learning new things from nursery all the time, she knows her name now and can communicate much better all the time.
I am very happy with the care provided here and the staff are great with her, and she loves them which is lovely to see. The only improvement we could suggest is a bit more updating on what she has enjoyed doing and who she has played with etc.

My little girl has just started at the nursery. From our first visits all the staff were lovely and really put my mind at ease.
They have gone above and beyond to try and work with her own routine and ensure this is maintained on her nursery days.

Kim Brophy is the Manager. Kim holds a BA honours in Education and Inclusion and Early Years Teacher Status. She has worked in Early Years now for 14 years and has worked at Kids Planet for over 6 years, starting as a room leader and working her way up to Manager.
