Kids Planet Salford opened in August 2014 and was rated Ofsted 'Outstanding' in 2015. This purpose-built nursery is located on the corner of Eccles Old Road and Langworthy Road and in close proximity to Media City, Salford Quays and Manchester City Centre.

The nursery benefits from four open plan rooms with direct access to safe and secure outdoor play areas, offering children an exciting area in which to play outside. There is also a separate roof terrace playground for preschool children.

All children at the nursery have access to a sensory room, which offers children a relaxing environment in which to explore the different textures and light forms.

Meals and snacks are freshly prepared by a qualified nursery chef on the premises who caters for their individual needs. The chef operates a six weekly menu.

Access into the nursery is through a state-of-the-art finger print entry system; all internal doors are staff key fob operated and each room and outdoor area has CCTV. The nursery also has an intercom system as standard, ensuring that each child's safety is paramount at all times.

Our son really enjoys his time in nursery and is always excited to be turning up. The staff are always courteous and helpful, they seem to really care about him. Sometimes the menu seems a little advanced though for their age.

I trust their service. Lovely staff and very communicative. It was hard for my child to go to the nurse for the first few days but now she feels excited to get there and she has been able to build relationship with the staff.

My child enjoys pre school an staff are very good and helpful and polite and being outside. My child is settled on morning sessions and always happy to come in my child development has improved and always get pictures of daily plays which is good to see

I don't have any complaints. My daughter loves it.
She enjoys her friends and her carer.
Playing with water and learning new letters. She will miss her friends and teachers when she goes to reception. I'm satisfied.

Such a superb learning environment for our child. The staff are great and many have supported our daughter since she started when she was 7 months old. Now she is three years old we feel that her speech, her interactions and education was been thanks to the hard work and dedication of the kids planet

It is a great nursery. I feel confident that my child will be well taken care of when I drop her off. This in turn allows me to go about my day/work without having to worry. The staff are all welcoming and you get the sense that they genuinely care about the wellbeing of the children. My daughter had
been with a previous nursery before this one and I had to move her due to personal reasons so I was apprehensive and worried whether I was making the right decision. I can't say I regret it. During each pickup they give us a summary of what she has eaten during the day, her naps and just overall how well her day was spent. I particularly like this. Her key person is always lovely and welcoming.

My guardian son has only been here a few months and in this time he has become a confident little boy, he is very happy and he is happy to leave us knowing he will be safe. I use the app every day and this is so easy to navigate and as a family we appreciate and respect the staff a lot, they are very
friendly and if there was any issues they would tell us straight away, my grandson was going to a different nursery and knowing how they are with my son my grandson has moved here also. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, my son has another 2 years here before big school and I'm so happy that he is going to have them in his life. Thank you for looking after my son and grandson as much as you do, you are all a part of their young lives.

This nursery is fantastic!
My daughter joined at 10 months and has excelled ever since!
They have daily activities and a great outside space where the children can discover and play!
They are very good at updating the app with learning stories and moments, which is wonderful to see!
The staff have
always been approachable, caring and really care for my daughter! 10/10!
The food they serve is fantastic and has really given my child the opportunity to try new foods consistently!
I would highly recommend this nursery to any other family!

Great range of activities and trips out as my child loves them. Good opening hours and flexibility in booking sessions. Really friendly staff and a brilliant manager who will always try her best to resolve any issues raised with her. Slight negative is the large class sizes, where it seems the staff
are overstretched by the number of kids in the room, so get a little less time as they provide more support to SEN children due to goverment funding issues. On the whole, a good nursery. Purpose built with facilities such as a sensory room which my child loves.

One of the best nurseries I have used, my daughter loves it, always comes home smiling and happy! The nursery have been amazing throughout the last 18 months supporting us with changes in dietary requirements at short notice and also the level of support my daughter has received with her development
and speech delay, really couldn't have asked for better, thank you to all the staff.

Kim Brophy is the Manager. Kim holds a BA honours in Education and Inclusion and Early Years Teacher Status. She has worked in Early Years now for 14 years and has worked at Kids Planet for over 6 years, starting as a room leader and working her way up to Manager.
