Wee Gems - Armadale is a purpose-built facility, ideal for children from 0 to 5 years of age and beyond at the after-school club.

The nursery incorporates hi-tech and modern technology designed to enhance pre-school learning capabilities, while there is also an extensive outdoor play area.

Wee Gems Armadale also offer out of school care such as breakfast, after school and summer clubs.

Private parking and a secure entry system allow parents to feel confident and satisfied in the service. There is also in-house catering, an independent baby room and a sleep room, as part of a nursery design the owners consider to be revolutionary.

Wee Gems has been a great experience for my son. He has made lots of new friends and the staff have really helped him to increase his confidence. My son has medical needs and staff have been very accommodating of these, particularly in supporting him to manage independently, both in a practical sense
and in terms of how he chooses to share with other children.

My boy has always been very clingy and all I can say is the nursery was very helpful and very informative when it comes to him! I feel very comfortable with him being there and I’m really starting to see a change in him thanks to the nursery.

Wee Gems have been great with our daughter. She loves going to nursery and the staff have been brilliant with her. They keep us really well updated throughout the day and do so many different activities with her. We are really happy with Wee Gems and are glad we decided to send her there.

Our little boy started nursery in January. He absolutely loves going and settled in really quickly. The updates and photos on the app show how much he enjoys it, along with the excitement when we pull up in the car park. All the staff we have spoken to have been lovely and extremely helpful. He has
come on leaps and bounds and is showing us new things every week. We love the updates on the app. Thank you for everything you do, especially during this difficult time.

My little girl has been going to Wee Gems since July 2020. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We love the Famly App the nursery uses. The outdoor area is a great big space. My little girl loves going to nursery. Lots of theme weeks and different activities.

Wee Gems Armadale is a fantastic nursery. My child enjoys attending the nursery and talks about it all the time. The staff are friendly and very supportive of the children. They provide personable and excellent caring services. Wee Gems Armadale is very inclusive and flexible. They understand and practice

Both my daughter and now my son have attended Wee Gems and I can honestly say I can leave each day to go to work knowing the staff will take the very best care of them. My daughter is now at nursery school but begs to go back to Wee Gems. I love that at any time I’ll come into the nursery and the girls
can give me an update on everything happening and that I can watch my children play happily for a minute before they see me. So I know they genuinely love being there. I recommended Wee Gems to my friends having babies and they are also very impressed. The ParentZone app is great as I can see the progress they are making and the staff are great at keeping it updated.

My little girl from 8 months was already in another nursery due to it being closer to work. As she would be going to school in our home town I decided to move her nurseries when she was 2. The transfer to a different nursery was hard for her but the staff were amazing and she is fully integrated now.
She talks about the staff all the time and how much fun she has had. What we also love is the open door policy so she can decide to go outside whenever she likes.
Every week I get an update on the portal about what she has been doing and pictures which is great to see.
The staff are also fab at doing activities with the children which my little one enjoys very much.


All in all, so glad we chose to move her to this nursery. It’s a great place.

Fantastic nursery. Staff are approachable, friendly and have great relationships with my children meaning I trust them 100% with my kids. The manager is again helpful, friendly and approachable. She also spends time with the children rather than always being in the office. My children have developed
a great deal since starting at Wee Gems and this is down to mainly the learning and interactions from staff. I know my pre-schooler will miss the teachers a great deal when she leaves for primary 1, this year. Highly recommend this nursery and can’t fault them on anything.

Our daughter first started with this nursery at just under 1 year old and we were nervous to leave her as we felt she was so young to be in nursery all day. However, after a few weeks, it was evident that our daughter enjoyed her time in the nursery, she bonded with the staff quickly and enjoyed exploring
with her little friends. She's been in for 8 months now and whilst the environment remains friendly for her to play and explore, she has learned so much too. It's when she shows us the actions to the nursery rhythms, when she starts singing and dancing as soon as the radio comes on, she eats her meals by herself and loves to draw and colour in and holds the pencils perfectly. It's the little things that they do to help develop the children that matter. It's also worth noting that if you have a concern no matter how small it may be, they take the time to listen and action.

My daughter started Wee Gems when she was 7 months old, I felt a little apprehensive about her starting nursery while she was still so young. She has just turned 1 and looking back it was a great decision. She loves nursery and has developed very well over the last few months.
Staff at Wee Gems always
keep me up to date with her progress and what they are working on with her. It's great for her to mix with children of different ages.
There is a lovely garden with a separate section for the babies. I love the fact they take her on walks etc too as I am keen to ensure that she is isn't always indoors.
The food is excellent and they have a good variety.
I use their app parent zone which is great for keeping up to date with what my daughter has been doing throughout the day. The activities they do are not only fun but educational.
We also recently had a parents night which was very informative on my daughter's progress and next goals that the staff are focusing on with her.

Our Little girl has been at Wee Gems - Armadale for just under a year. When she started she had a really tough time settling in and struggled with separation anxiety. The staff knew I also really struggled and could not have been kinder, on days where I had to stay a little longer, they were great and
on days where I was struggling and had to just drop and go, they were also very supportive. I phone every day and staff are always lovely, they never make you feel like a hassle. A year on, my daughter waves me off at the door, loves going to nursery and I am delighted in how much confidence she has gained. Her speech and development are phenomenal and I credit a lot of this to the activities and interaction within nursery. I love the portal and seeing pictures of her busy days and on top of fab childcare, the staff are good at keeping it updated. Thank you, Wee Gems to all the team, for bringing me the confidence to know our little girl is safe.

Wee Gems is a fantastic place. The facility is clean, bright and safe with great variety of toys and learning aids. The garden area is well kitted out to allow the children to play outdoors. There are always a range of activities for the children to take part in.


Located next to the train station,

it is very convenient for commuters.


Staff provide daily feedback on child’s development and how their day went. The mobile app ParentZone is updated several times a day with photographs, videos and details of your child’s activities.
The menu is varied and changes regularly.


Wee Gems greatest asset, however, is its people. The staff and management are always very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated to caring for your child. They are amazing and my daughter loves them to pieces.

It is a great place, my daughter loves it. She is there from the very beginning (nearly three years now) and I can see how big impact the nursery activities had on her development, both mental and physical. Staff is friendly and very helpful, location is great for commuters either to Glasgow or Edinburgh,
facilities are nearly brand new, food must be great as my daughter always eats everything with additional helpings - the only downside is the fact it is a bit expensive.

I hold my PDA level 9 in Childhood Practice and have lots of experience working with different teams, and also working with children from birth to school age.
