Wee Gems - Broxburn offers a versatile childcare service to parents that focuses on all the key early years learning objectives. As a nursery provider, the company is keen to play its part in driving new standards and innovation.

Wee Gems Broxburn offer funded pre-school places for 3 to 5 year old.

As well as pleasant indoor and outdoor play areas, the facility has extensive computer systems, CCTV systems for security and onsite kitchen that supports nutrition.

Each child has a key worker who guides children through curriculum development.

With free flow access, children move freely between indoors and outdoors and enjoy a considerable range of natural resources within the extensive outdoor facilities.

Fantastic nursery, with great flexibility and opening times. Ideal for shift workers. The nursery has allowed me to be very flexible with my shifts at work.


My son has been in the nursery since he was 9 months old he is now nearly 4. During this time he has learned a vast amount of life long skills

& knowledge and built up great relationships with other children & staff. The nursery really encourage the children to work as part of a team particularly in pre school. They also encourage & support children to use their initiative where possible.


All the staff are approachable, friendly & very passionate about their jobs. It has been a pleasure using wee gems nursery Broxburn.

Our daughter has been at wee gems since 10 months and in that time she has really developed. The variety of daily activities the children are exposed to is excellent. The variety and quality of food is extremely good. Our daughter is excited to go to nursery and has developed great relationships with
the staff and other children. The staff and supervisor in JG1 should be highly commended. They are lovely girls and make us feel confident about leaving her with them. Thanks for taking such great care of our daughter!

Our daughter started in Baby Gems at the nursery in January 2016 and she absolutely loves it! Everyone takes the time to get to know the babies and make us parents feel confident that our little ones are in safe hands. All staff are very friendly and keep us informed of what our baby's been up to each
day and how she's progressing. Couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery.

My Son has attended Wee Gems for 2 years now, & has progressed into Pre School. He only attends one day, which at times was daunting for him as it is a long week without any contact. The staff both in the class room and office have been excellent. The Manager has been extremely helpful and looking at
ways to assist. Story boards were made up to take home, additional sessions offered. My son enjoys his time & since moving to Pre school only a week ago, really enjoys. The care and attention from everyone is excellent.
The staff have provided great care and attention and help encourage and development him. The nursery has also been able to accommodate occasional additional days as required at reasonably short notice, and flexible when days required changing.


I am extremely grateful for the care that they have provided, & I am excited to see what my son learns in the Pre School environment.


The Learning Journals are a great way to see how your child develops & we enjoy reading them together at home. This helps with continuity in the home & aids development. Thank you.


If I had one thing to feedback it would be regrading the menu rotation. The one day my son attends, 4 out of the 6 weeks is Pasta or Soup which my son does not like, for personal reasons I would prefer a varied range of foods as through the week, there are fish, chicken, stovies options, all which my son would eat. Again as I said this is personal & very aware it cannot be changed for 1 child. Just "Food for thought" I would point out the quality of food is great.

Great local nursery, my daughter has been there since 9 months and progressed will and settled in every room. Staff are friendly, freshly made food, clean premises and good outdoor facilities. I would recommend this nursery and would certainly be my first choice if I was to have more children.

I have trusted both of my children to the care of Wee Gems and not been disappointed. My daughter started just before her first birthday and has now started school. My son is currently making his way through the nursery. The staff have provided great care and attention to both children and help encourage
and development them. The nursery has also been able to accommodated occasional additional days as required at reasonably short notice. They have also utilised the reusable nappies at our request.
I initially would have liked more time outside from an earlier stage but with the development of the outdoor space and establishment of an outdoor classroom over the last year it has added an additional element of activities available. In general terms they delivered an element of tailored care & development for my children for which I am very grateful.

Always helpful and accommodating, the staff and management are excellent. My child is increasingly talking about the things she is learning about at nursery and surprising me with her new-found knowledge. There are opportunities for extra activities, however these mostly require extra payment.

My son has just joined wee gems Broxburn and I am extremely happy as they have welcomed him and help with the transition of him moving from one nursery to theirs. They are very welcoming and always give updates on the progress of my child. My son is a very picky eater and they have tried to get him
to try new things but have made alterations to help him. Glad I chose this nursery and will defiantly be recommending to others.

Really happy with the Nursery, the staff are friendly and approachable.


Office staff really helpful and friendly, they have helped us out on many occasions over the last few years with last minute care.


The food is excellent and gives great variety throughout the days and weeks. Changing menus

winter and summer.


They have great facilities which are completely up to date, Ipad etc while still covering he basics of hand painting, glitter and glue.


My daughter has loved her time here, which makes our lives as parents much easier.

We've been very impressed by the team at Wee Gems Broxburn and would fully recommend this provider to friends and family. Our little boy attends the pre-school class 4 days a week and loves it. There's loads to play with and he's learning lots by doing! He comes home buzzing about what he got up to
each day. The staff know the kids very well and respond to their individual interests and needs. Very happy with it!

My son has been at wee gems for almost a year now and has recently moved up to JG1, cannot praise the nursery enough. After a bit of apprehension moving up rooms my son now loves nursery! It's brought him on so much, the staff are all brilliant and always on hand to help with any issues my son has.

My daughter has now been attending Wee Gems in Broxburn for just over a year and I have been very impressed over the months by both the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They are supportive of the children and the parents, are always looking to improve and genuinely care about the well-being
of all concerned. The facilities are tremendous, offering a wide range of fun and educational opportunities, technology, trips out and foreign language and music add-ons. The parent portal to track children's development is useful and the FB page is full of handy tips, recipes etc. Regular email updates help me keep track of what's coming up.


I am very glad my daughter is here, and would definitely recommend Wee Gems to friends.

This is an excellent nursery providing great care and learning for children. My daughter has been going to this nursery from when she was a year old. She has been through the baby room all the way to the pre school and it has been an excellent journey.

Wee Gems is an excellent nursery with exceptional facilities and the most caring professional staff. Both of my children have attended the nursery. I was initially apprehensive about leaving my child in the care of anyone but with my immediate family, however once my daughter and I viewed the nursery
and met the staff I knew without any doubt she would be happy and safe at Wee Gems. She enjoyed the learning and the social interaction they provide. The staff are understanding and reassuring. when I had my son, there was no question of which nursery he would go to it had to be Wee Gems.

My wee boy loves Wee Gems. He moved up to Pre-School from JG2 in August and although a difficult transition to start with he has absolutely flourished. He is slightly behind with speech and language but with the support of his key worker, nursery teacher and all the staff in the room he's coming on
so well! The extra bit of support he receives has helped him so much! We did consider moving his nursery when I changed location for uni but after viewing a few we couldn't find another which could offer what WGs does! If we ever have any concerns it is dealt with very quickly and efficiently. All the staff and management are very easily approachable and genuinely lovely people who really care about all the children in their care.

I’m Laura and I have been Manager at Wee Gems Broxburn since May 2022. I have 5 years of childcare experience and hold a BA Hons Degree in Primary Education Studies. I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Childhood Practice, Leadership and Management at Glasgow Uni.
