LEYF - Old Kent Road Nursery & Pre-School (Formerly Bird in Bush)

I really love this nursery. It's a great place if you want your child to excel in the education department. The staff are very caring and the management is attentive to all parents' needs. I feel at ease leaving my child within the care of Bird in Bush Nursery whilst I am at work!

I would like to say that, Bird in Bush nursery is one of the best nurseries around. My son started when he was just 18 months, as a new and first-time mom I was very apprehensive leaving my son with strangers but when I first got to the nursery I was received warmly by the manager and the staff. My son settled in well and has improved tremendously. The manager and staff are always ready to help parents at anytime. Feedbacks are given verbally as well as written. The manager and the staff are very professional and friendly. They are very hardworking and dedicated. With my experience with the nursery, I would recommend it to others.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since she was 10months old, her development is amazing. The staff and Management are fantastic, easy to speak with and always available for a chat.

I have sent both my kids to this nursery, for the simple reasons:

*High standards of professionalism.

*They always feedback the progression (or lack of it) of your child and advise on areas of improvement.

*Not overcrowded, and my daughter enjoys the play area outside.

* The food provided for the kids is variable and my daughter “cleans” her plate.

* Multicultural and multiracial is a good exposure for the kids.

My son is very happy at the nursery. The staff members take good care of the children, the children are very happy and they have good indoor and outdoor spaces. Freshly cooked healthy meals are provided for the children and the staff make sure they cater for the children’s individual needs.

Recommend this nursery. Outside space is huge. Big enough for the little ones to explore every day something else.

My daughter is very happy there and all the team are very friendly and helpful. A good place for children to develop.

My child has been at this nursery since the age of one and has become confident with its surroundings and has made lots of friends along the way. The staff are very encouraging and supportive, and work extremely well liaising with parents and families on the development of each and every child.

This is my 2nd time around using this nursery. Would highly recommend it. The staff care and routines they provide for the children are impeccable. A big thank you to the nursery manager for all the behind the scenes work she puts in. Fantastic nursery.

The staff are brilliant and really friendly, and always tend to my daughter. My daughter has really settled and is making progress.

This is my nephew's first nursery and I must say all I can do is applaud this nursery, he’s come on leaps and bounds since starting this nursery, his character and personality has really come through. This nursery has helped him with his eating and speech massively too! I just want to thank this nursery so much because I know they’re a vital part of his development and his life also, so I appreciate everything that you’re doing!

Brilliant, caring team. Really well run. We’ve been really impressed with the setup and now have both of our children here full time. There is always a certain level of regret, having to leave your child in someone else’s care for any period of time, let alone full time. But the level of care and attention that the team give to the children and the set-up is both reassuring and hugely supportive of both child AND parent. Thoroughly recommend.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Our child loves the days she is there. The food menu is interesting and cooked onsite.

Last but definitely not least, the nursery manager has a wonderful rapport with parents and is quick to offer a sympathetic word or shoulder if you’re going through a tough time.

My niece attends Bird in Bush nursery and has been for 2 years. She is very well advanced for her age and has made tremendous progress in her development. A key highlight has been the development of her vocabulary and sentence formation. I am extremely happy with the resources and activities that the children partake in to help develop their learning. In addition, the staff are very friendly and approachable and have built remarkable relationships with the children.

Bird in Bush Nursery is a really good nursery to go to. They take care of the children and have their best interests. The staff are very friendly and helpful when trying to find out information. My daughter and brother go there and I always recommend the nursery to friends.

There are so many factors that go into looking after a child, it's a massive responsibility, the level of respect I have for the teachers is beyond words.

Both of my children attend Bird in Bush and have done since they were each a year old. Both the baby room and the preschool rooms and gardens are wonderful. The staff are amazing, always going the extra mile for the children and parents. They do varied and exciting activities for the children and spend lots of time outdoors which I love. My children have close relationships there with the staff and I am happy knowing they are happy and extremely well cared for while I am at work. I would absolutely recommend Bird in Bush!
