LEYF - Old Kent Road Nursery & Pre-School (Formerly Bird in Bush)

Bird in Bush LEYF is a truly wonderful nursery. The nursery and preschool spaces are well set out and both have dedicated outdoor areas that the children can easily access at any time. The staff are all approachable, there’s a genuinely warm relationship between them and the children which can be seen at the various social events they host throughout the year. It’s a pleasure seeing my son grow in confidence, he’s always beaming when I pick him up at the end of the day.

Our daughter has loved going to nursery since her first few days. She settled in incredibly quickly, which is a credit to the staff. The environment is ideal for the kids and they have different activities daily. The staff listen to our feedback and are always encouraging our daughter to try things. We think her huge increase in confidence is in large part down to her time at nursery. Everyone is incredibly friendly too.

Since my daughter joining Bird in Bush Nursery at aged 10 months old, she has developed in so many ways. She is more confident and balanced, for example, her social skills in making friends through sharing toys and caring for others. Moreover, she looks forward to going into nursery for the three days she goes in for. Also, my partner and I are very happy with the teaching our daughter has received and has had a very positive learning experience.

The staff are great, the nursery is always clean and my son thoroughly enjoys going there - it makes me happy to know he’s in safe hands when I go to work! I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

My daughter has attended the pre-school of Bird in Bush Nursery since August 2017. It is a very pleasant environment for the children with spacious rooms and a lovely garden, which staff members seem to take pride in. I am particularly happy with flexibility and understanding which they have shown my daughter and the nurturing environment which has enabled her to flourish. She always seems happy and engaged when I pick her up and the interactions between the children seem to have been carefully developed. The staff and management are very approachable and have been proactive when consulted about concerns I've had about my child's development and needs. I would happily recommend this nursery to any parent.

Bird in Bush is a friendly and welcoming nursery with great outdoor space and wonderful staff who have nurtured and cared for my son since the day he started, at 6 months old. They have given me the confidence to return to work, knowing my son is in the best possible hands.
