A safe a secure playground compliments the indoor facilities of Banana Moon day nursery, and an in-house kitchen is used to create nutritious and healthy daily meals.
Security is of paramount concern at Banana Moon. With this in mind they operate a ‘fingerprint’ biometric access system to protect children and nursery staff. This system allows nursery personnel to register parent’s fingerprints in seconds.
Banana Moon operates CCTV throughout the nursery. This added security is there for the protection and peace of mind of children, staff and parents. The presence of the external cameras also act as a powerful deterrent to any unwelcome visitors.
They have a dedicated sleep room with soft lighting and natural wood cots. This calm and quiet room provides a restful environment for babies, allowing them to enjoy a comfortable nap without being disturbed by any external noise. Each child has their own bed linen, which is regularly laundered in-house.
The nursery is equipped with a number of interactive screens, which provide an interactive learning experience for children of all ages. Adding this technology to the nursery environment encourages the little ones to explore the world of ICT in bite-sized chunks.
To help share your child’s development and to make communicating with parents informative and easy, their Parent App is available to download from the App Store or Google Play. This helps Banan Moon to share ‘golden’ moments like painting or exploring their environment and learning through play.

My little boy loves Banana Moon nursery and literally runs in. Searching for a nursery during a pandemic was difficult but I felt comfortable sending him here and 6 months later can confirm it was a good choice. The staff have gone way beyond at times and I feel like they all really care about the child’s wellbeing and learning. He has tried some really good food and is learning so much. I love receiving the updates on the app and seeing that he is enjoying himself.

His key person updates the information and you can really see how well my son adores going to Banana Moon Day Nursery Billericay. He has loved it from day one of attending. It puts my mind at ease to be able to see how he is getting on each day via the app. I get detailed reports every term on how he is getting on.

Both of my sons have attended Banana Moon and loved it. They love the staff, the activities and have made great friendships. My youngest is still there now and enjoys all the arts and crafts and outdoor play with his friends. I would highly recommend the nursery to others.

Great nursery setting. I really like the staff and love the efficiency of the app, which gives you great updates throughout the day. I love the thoroughness of the assessments for parents evenings and the really tasty and healthy variety of food that the kids get.
Also I really love the amount of arts and craft they do with the kids, I think it is great for their development and I love receiving the bits (even if my son is clearly not a Picasso).
Further to all of this, how they have handled COVID has been exemplary and albeit that it is an inconvenience, the measures that are in place and the fact that they are enforcing them gives me great reassurance.

We have had three children at Banana Moon and they have all enjoyed their time there over the years. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and would highly recommend them. They are always greeting parents at the door with a smile and informing them of their child’s day.

I could not be happier with Banana Moon Billericay. Our son absolutely loves his two days a week here and practically runs to the door on a Monday and Tuesday. The team in the Babies group are amazing and his face lights up when he sees them in the morning. We can see some big developments even from a couple of months with them and there is clearly a strong education focus. He is happy, curious and is bringing interests home with him which we continue. The app is fab, I love getting the updates through and the Golden Moments and reports are great. It is great getting tips on what things to focus on at home. Banana Moon Billericay have a relationship-centred approach to their care and I would absolutely recommend them based on our experience so far.

My daughter has come on so much since she has been attending Banana Moon. Each day is different, which makes it fun for her to learn new things. The staff are really helpful and really approachable if you need to speak to them about something regarding your child. The nursery is always very clean and we are always kept up to date if something is happening at the nursery. I really recommend Banana Moon day nursery.

My daughter has been at Banana Moon since she was 1. Now she is 3 and in Preschool. She has loved Banana Moon from the very first day as have I. The staff are extremely helpful, kind and always have a smile on their face. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds and this is all to do with what she has learnt going to this Nursery. Even though the daily updates are now on the App (which is fab) I still get a quick rundown on what my daughter has been doing during her day, which is nice to hear. This Nursery is nice and small and has a good number of Children versus Key-workers in each class. It's nice to know that all Children get some good one to one time with their Key Worker as the ratio is right.
The management team are always there if you have a question to ask and are willing to help/support you where they can. It's also nice to have a little chat sometimes too!

My daughter is now at Pre School at Banana Moon and she started at Babies Room. It's a great place for her to develop various skills, interact with other children and thrive. The actives they do are always interesting and engaging. Lots of messy plays too! The staff is friendly and genuinely caring about the kids. The management is very involved in running the nursery on a daily basis but also looking ahead and introducing new and exciting things for the future. The application that has recently been introduced is keeping us parents informed about daily activities and WOW moments. I would recommend Banana Moon in Billericay to any parent who is looking for a friendly and inspiring nursery.

Thrilled with Banana Moon! I had a really good feeling that my baby was going to really enjoy his time here and be nurtured incredibly well by the most caring staff upon viewing the nursery. My son was 4 months when he started Banana Moon one day a week and I was apprehensive leaving him at a young age. My worries soon faded once I could see how amazing all the ladies in the baby room were with him. So caring and such passion for little ones! My son really enjoys spending his Thursday's here socialising with the other little ones, being stimulated with toys and activities, eating yummy meals and snacks and most importantly being cuddled and adored. Most recently my son was having a grizzly teething day. Upon picking him up I was so touched and reassured to see him being cuddled by the lovely lady who had been cuddling him lots that day when he needed it. Must also mention that the correspondence is great also. The daily diary app is brilliant. Thank you, Banana Moon!

I have worked at Banana Moon since 2012, when the Billericay Nursery first opened. I hold a Diploma in Nursery Nursing, which I was awarded in 1999.
I am a proud mummy of two boys — they are my world! Both of my sons have attended Banana Moon, and my youngest still does.
Working with children is my true passion. I love nothing more than seeing them flourish, learn, develop, and grow over the years at Banana Moon. The children and families are at the heart of our nursery — we are not just a nursery, we are a part of your children’s extended family.

I completed my Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development in 2009 and earned a Certificate of Higher Education in Educational Studies in 2010.
I joined the Banana Moon family in October 2018 as Deputy Manager and have since supported our teams and families. From July 2020, I became the Nursery Manager. I am passionate about childcare and always try to see things from the child’s perspective, finding new ways to make learning fun and exciting. Our young children are our future, and it is our responsibility to inspire the next generation while delivering exceptionally high-quality care. Supporting my team to achieve this, and watching the children grow and learn, is the most rewarding part of working in Early Years education. At Banana Moon Billericay, we believe in giving every child equal opportunities to reach their full potential.
In my leisure time, I enjoy travelling with friends and family, going on days out, and exploring the outdoors on long walks.

One of the highlights of my job is when the children call my name across the gate, eager to find out what’s on the menu — it always makes me smile! Over the years, I’ve picked up plenty of nicknames, from Jimmy Jones to Jo Jo, and I love that the children feel comfortable and happy around me. I have been a hairdresser for most of my career, but in May 2023 I decided it was time for a change and joined Banana Moon Billericay part-time. My daughter had worked here previously, and after hearing such lovely things about the company, I was excited to take on the opportunity when it arose.
Since joining, I’ve been lucky to work with a fantastic team. I always wear a smile, and one of my favourite parts of the day is when the children call through the gate to ask what’s for lunch — it never fails to make me happy! I also love supporting the children and am really looking forward to running cookery classes with them in the future.
Alongside my role here, I still continue with my hairdressing career, where I’ve had loyal clients for many years. Building relationships, communicating well, and making people feel happy are skills I value greatly and bring with me into everything I do.
