Banana Moon Day Nursery Billericay

I have worked at Banana Moon since 2012, when the Billericay Nursery first opened. I hold a Diploma in Nursery Nursing, which I was awarded in 1999.

I am a proud mummy of two boys — they are my world! Both of my sons have attended Banana Moon, and my youngest still does.

Working with children is my true passion. I love nothing more than seeing them flourish, learn, develop, and grow over the years at Banana Moon. The children and families are at the heart of our nursery — we are not just a nursery, we are a part of your children’s extended family.

My role is to encourage children to follow their interests while supporting the staff to provide stimulating and engaging experiences that promote growth, curiosity, and joy every day.

I have been working in the childcare sector since 2006, gaining experience in a variety of roles with children aged 0–10 years.

I completed my Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development in 2009 and earned a Certificate of Higher Education in Educational Studies in 2010.

I joined the Banana Moon family in October 2018 as Deputy Manager and have since supported our teams and families. From July 2020, I became the Nursery Manager. I am passionate about childcare and always try to see things from the child’s perspective, finding new ways to make learning fun and exciting. Our young children are our future, and it is our responsibility to inspire the next generation while delivering exceptionally high-quality care. Supporting my team to achieve this, and watching the children grow and learn, is the most rewarding part of working in Early Years education. At Banana Moon Billericay, we believe in giving every child equal opportunities to reach their full potential.

In my leisure time, I enjoy travelling with friends and family, going on days out, and exploring the outdoors on long walks.

My name is Abigail, and I have been in child care for 12 years and part of the Banana Moon Family for the past three years. I enjoy creating new and fun activities for the children based on their current interests. I have a cheeky but cute little boy, who also attends Banana Moon.

My name is Emine, I am a room leader for the full moon's room. I have a level 3 qualification and over 14 years of childcare experience, within a nursery setting. I also hold a level 2 understanding of autism. I am married and have three wonderful grown-up boys.

In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, I play volleyball. I love reading books and spending quality time with family, friends, and my animals.

Hi, I am Eleanor. I am level 3 qualified and started back at Banana Moon in August 2025. I work full-time in the Teenie &Mini Moon Room.

I started my career working alongside a Nursery based inside the school. I worked there for two years. I decided that I wanted to expand my knowledge and work in a day nursery.

I enjoy spending time with my family.

Hi, I'm Yas. I'm level 3 qualified and have been working at Banana Moon since 2021. I like watching movies and spending time with my family. My favourite movies are anything Disney.

Hi, I am Zoe. I'm an NVQ level 2 & 3 nursery practitioner. I have worked in childcare for over 21 years. I have three wonderful children. We are an outdoor adventure-type family. We love spending time with family in our spare time.

Hi, I am Chloe. I joined the team in May 2023. I am level three qualified. I did my work experience at Banana Moon Billericay during my last year at school, back in 2015.

I worked at a few nurseries outside of the area but decided to come back closer to home. Now I am pregnant with my fourth child and looking forward to spending time with my family in December as a family of six.

In my spare time, I like going on natural walks and to adventure places for my boys to have fun experiences.

I have been the Chef at Banana Moon since 2018, and I’m proud that we prepare fresh, home-cooked meals on-site every day. One of the highlights of my job is when the children call my name across the gate, eager to find out what’s on the menu — it always makes me smile! Over the years, I’ve picked up plenty of nicknames, from Jimmy Jones to Jo Jo, and I love that the children feel comfortable and happy around me. Bringing a smile to their faces each day is the best part of what I do.

I have been a hairdresser for most of my career, but in May 2023 I decided it was time for a change and joined Banana Moon Billericay part-time. My daughter had worked here previously, and after hearing such lovely things about the company, I was excited to take on the opportunity when it arose.

Since joining, I’ve been lucky to work with a fantastic team. I always wear a smile, and one of my favourite parts of the day is when the children call through the gate to ask what’s for lunch — it never fails to make me happy! I also love supporting the children and am really looking forward to running cookery classes with them in the future.

Alongside my role here, I still continue with my hairdressing career, where I’ve had loyal clients for many years. Building relationships, communicating well, and making people feel happy are skills I value greatly and bring with me into everything I do.

I am Sophie. I have worked at Banana Moon since July 2023. I qualified for a BA Hons degree in Education Studies in 2022. I work full-time and am a mummy of three beautiful children.

In my spare time, I spend time with my family, going on walks through the National Trust, swimming, and family days out.

Hi, I am Fibian, everyone calls me Pheobe.

I finished my GCSE, in August 2023 I decided an Apprenticeship would be best suited for me. I approached Banana Moon Billericay in September 2023 as I liked the way the nursery looked and the vibe that it had. I am excited to watch the staff role model great expectations for the children, so I can lead the nursery generation of Banana Moon children. There are different age groups of children which all have different rooms, before working in childcare, I wasn't sure what to expect. This means all the children have age-appropriate rooms and activities going on. I have learned so much already. I have just started my level 2 qualification in childcare.

Since joining the nursery, I have loved that the staff are so friendly, kind, and welcoming. I fitted in easily and feel part of the nursery family feel.

In my spare time, I like spending time with family and friends.
