Banana Moon Day Nursery Billericay

I have worked at Banana Moon since 2012, when the Billericay Nursery first opened. I hold a Diploma in Nursery Nursing, which I was awarded in 1999.

I am a proud mummy of two boys — they are my world! Both of my sons have attended Banana Moon, and my youngest still does.

Working with children is my true passion. I love nothing more than seeing them flourish, learn, develop, and grow over the years at Banana Moon. The children and families are at the heart of our nursery — we are not just a nursery, we are a part of your children’s extended family.

My role is to encourage children to follow their interests while supporting the staff to provide stimulating and engaging experiences that promote growth, curiosity, and joy every day. Read less

I have been working in the childcare sector since 2006, gaining experience in a variety of roles with children aged 0–10 years.

I completed my Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development in 2009 and earned a Certificate of Higher Education in Educational Studies in 2010.

I joined the Banana Moon family in October 2018 as Deputy Manager and have since supported our teams and families. From July 2020, I became the Nursery Manager. I am passionate about childcare and always try to see things from the child’s perspective, finding new ways to make learning fun and exciting. Our young children are our future, and it is our responsibility to inspire the next generation while delivering exceptionally high-quality care. Supporting my team to achieve this, and watching the children grow and learn, is the most rewarding part of working in Early Years education. At Banana Moon Billericay, we believe in giving every child equal opportunities to reach their full potential.

In my leisure time, I enjoy travelling with friends and family, going on days out, and exploring the outdoors on long walks. Read less

Hi, I am Eleanor. I am Level 3 qualified and started back at Banana Moon in August 2025. I work full-time in the Teenie &Mini Moon Room.

I started my career working alongside a Nursery based inside the school. I worked there for two years. I decided that I wanted to expand my knowledge and work in a day nursery.

I have worked in early years for over 10 years and love creating fun, engaging experiences for children. I particularly enjoy messy play and role play, where children can explore and use their imaginations. My favourite book is Room on the Broom, which I love sharing with the children. I especially enjoy working in the pre-school room and watching the children’s personalities grow and shine. Every day brings something new and rewarding. Outside of work, I enjoy going to boot sales and spending time with my family. Read less

I completed a Childhood Studies degree at university, where I developed a strong interest in child development and psychoanalysis, particularly understanding how children learn, grow, and develop through their early experiences. I am passionate about supporting children's learning through play and love creating fun, engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Outside of work, I enjoy arts and crafts, drawing, and painting, which inspire my creative approach when working with children. I also have four adorable rabbits, who keep me busy and have taught me the importance of patience and nurturing. Read less

I started working at Banana Moon in 2025, and I’m currently working towards my Level 3 qualification. I absolutely love spending time with the children and creating fun, exciting experiences for them. One of my favourite activities is messy play — getting creative, making a mess and, most importantly, having lots of fun along the way!

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and watching films. I’m a big Disney fan and especially love Stitch! I’m really enjoying my journey at Banana Moon and love watching the children learn, grow and explore the world around them. I have been the Chef at Banana Moon since 2018, and I’m proud that we prepare fresh, home-cooked meals on-site every day. One of the highlights of my job is when the children call my name across the gate, eager to find out what’s on the menu — it always makes me smile! Over the years, I’ve picked up plenty of nicknames, from Jimmy Jones to Jo Jo, and I love that the children feel comfortable and happy around me. I have been a hairdresser for most of my career, but in May 2023 I decided it was time for a change and joined Banana Moon Billericay part-time. My daughter had worked here previously, and after hearing such lovely things about the company, I was excited to take on the opportunity when it arose.

Since joining, I’ve been lucky to work with a fantastic team. I always wear a smile, and one of my favourite parts of the day is when the children call through the gate to ask what’s for lunch — it never fails to make me happy! I also love supporting the children and am really looking forward to running cookery classes with them in the future.

Alongside my role here, I still continue with my hairdressing career, where I’ve had loyal clients for many years. Building relationships, communicating well, and making people feel happy are skills I value greatly and bring with me into everything I do. Read less
