Banana Moon Day Nursery Billericay offers care for children aged from three months to five years in a purpose-built setting which ensures the needs of children can be fully met.

Staff always take the needs and views of its parents very seriously to ensure the best learning and playing environment is created for children to grow and develop in.

A safe a secure playground compliments the indoor facilities of Banana Moon day nursery, and an in-house kitchen is used to create nutritious and healthy daily meals.

Security is of paramount concern at Banana Moon. With this in mind they operate a ‘fingerprint’ biometric access system to protect children and nursery staff. This system allows nursery personnel to register parent’s fingerprints in seconds.

Banana Moon operates CCTV throughout the nursery. This added security is there for the protection and peace of mind of children, staff and parents. The presence of the external cameras also act as a powerful deterrent to any unwelcome visitors.

They have a dedicated sleep room with soft lighting and natural wood cots. This calm and quiet room provides a restful environment for babies, allowing them to enjoy a comfortable nap without being disturbed by any external noise. Each child has their own bed linen, which is regularly laundered in-house.

The nursery is equipped with a number of interactive screens, which provide an interactive learning experience for children of all ages. Adding this technology to the nursery environment encourages the little ones to explore the world of ICT in bite-sized chunks.

To help share your child’s development and to make communicating with parents informative and easy, their Parent App is available to download from the App Store or Google Play. This helps Banan Moon to share ‘golden’ moments like painting or exploring their environment and learning through play.

Banana moon nursery staff are hands down the most attentive people to take care of your children my daughters speech and social and motor skills have come on leaps and bounds since being in their care she is constantly learning new things and the staff are brilliant and will bend over backwards to help

The team couldn't be anymore accommodating, they treat our son so good and he enjoys his two days there so much, he is progressing very well and we believe this is due to him doing well at nursery. They meet his diatry needs and we now stop worrying and stressing that he eats at nursery as he eats so
well there. The app they use is brilliant as we get to see how much he eats sleeps and enjoys every minute there. We couldn't be anymore happier to have our son at this nursery.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 2 years old and I am astounded by the impact Banana Moon has had on him! He lives and breaths Banana moon, he adores the staff and constantly talks about his friends and his key person. We have discussions at home about planets, healthy eating and feelings,
all of which he has picked up from nursery. The activities and resources available have enabled his imagination to develop beyond any recommended expectations. We as parents are kept fully up to date with his development, through daily handovers, the brilliant app which is updated daily and termly parent evenings. The care and support from all the team is, simply, amazing.

Banana Moon Day Nursery Billericay has been nothing but a pleasure since our son first started attending the nursery; the staff are fantastic and take pride in what they do, and the treatment and care they provide is first class.
Myself and my partner have had no worries and the development we have
seen is staggering.
The nursery feels like a lovely community, bringing parents together as well as giving amazing care to our children.
I can't recommend this nursery enough.

My son has recently started the nursery and hasn't been too settled he isn't eating much and has had a few tears! However, the ladies know exactly what to do and are always thinking outside the box. Everyone's babies are different and all have their own little ways but the team seem to pick things up
very quickly, I know it won't be long until he is enjoying it! I would 100% recommend, they are all so friendly and have made the transition as easy as possible.

We are newbies at Banana Moon Billericay, my son is approaching his 2nd full week with them, and I truly feel like I've known the staff for months! From the start, they've all been so friendly, accommodating and most importantly, caring. Throughout the day, the app is just so helpful and reassuring
for updates on what my son is up to, all the details are great and it just makes me feel a million times better about the whole "leaving him" situation. Nothing is ever too big or small ask for the ladies, two of the staff members are super approachable and helpful, they understand exactly what we, as mums/dads go through! Two other staff members are such sweethearts also, they treat the children like their own and I'm so thankful. It's a 10 out of 10 from me!

Lovely nursery, my two children have been there since babies (my son is now 5.5) the ladies are lovely people, taking time out of their weekends to create beautiful sensory toys for the preschool room, and all of them are so kind and there's nothing they won't do to help develop and nurture our children.
They've helped with potty training, fussy eating, etc. As well as preparing them for school helping with writing and number recognition. I would recommend them to anyone, thank you.

My little one has been there for over 1 year and a half now and I could not fault this daycare one bit! The ladies in there are absolutely amazing! They are supportive and so friendly with the children. Always walk away knowing my little one is safe and will have a fun packed day. Would recommend to

As a first-time mum, I didn't have a clue what I was doing when picking a nursery for the first time. It's also scary looking for a nursery for your 9 month old and leaving them with complete stranger you don't know. I just went with my gut feeling and I am so happy I did! My daughter loves the environment,
staff, food, and activities so much! The staff have treated us like we are part of their big family and I know that they care for my daughter like they would care for their own! Every day we are welcomed with open arms and we both feel safe in their hands. This review doesn't just apply to January 2025 but every month since we have been with them! Would highly recommend and they are always so accommodating!

Such a lovely setting, the girls who work here are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much trouble! All 3 of my children absolutely love coming to nursery and always have an amazing time with the fantastic activities and day to day care they provide.

Our experience of Banana Moon Day Nursery Billericay has been great from the beginning.
My son started during the Covid year of 2020 and it has helped him so much. All the staff are super friendly, supportive and caring. My son has thrived at nursery which has led to our daughter joining him in 2022.

My son currently attends Banana Moon Day nursery and loves going, he talks about his friends and the staff regularly and really enjoys the different toys and activities they offer.
The nursery has indoor and outdoor supervision during all seasons which he especially enjoys. The meals prepared are amazing
and it definitely gets my child to eat a range of healthy foods and gain an understanding of portion control and when he is full. He has learnt so many things during his time at nursery and I’m so glad I chose Banana Moon. Thank you.

I have nothing but good things to say about Banana Moon. The staff are super friendly and my little one is so happy when he’s there.
The app is great (although sometimes it does take a while for updates to appear).
My little one has allergies and severe eczema but I’ve never found this to be an issue.
Banana Moon cater to him so well and really stick by what we ask.
We really picked the best nursery for our boy.
We are seeing growth in our little one since going to Banana Moon. It’s amazing what he’s learning and how they are helping his confidence.

Our son attended Banana Moon Day Nursery from 16 months old and will be leaving at the end of August to attend primary school. We liked Banana Moon since the day we went to view the nursery. All staff gave us a warm welcome. All rooms and facilities are clean and well-managed. Our son gets very good
care and is well looked after by the nursery. We would highly recommend Banana Moon.

My son has been with Banana Moon Day Nursery for three and a half years now. My experience with all the staff has been nothing but a pleasure, they make you feel very welcome. My son didn't have the easiest start but the staff have been amazing to him, helped him to realise what behaviour is acceptable
and he's turned into a well-behaved little boy, they also took the time to help me with ideas on how to help him. They give regular updates on how your child is progressing and what areas might need attention. I am extremely grateful that I sent my son to Banana Moon because they are a part of the reason he's become a polite, well-mannered, fun and clever boy. The nursery has a lovely outdoor play area which my son loves the most, they have loads of toys and different ways of learning which you get to see on the app. The food they provide is varied and healthy but also gives my son a chance to try different types of food, which he always enjoys! I could not recommend this nursery enough.

Banana Moon Day Nursery is great. The manager and the team take great care of the kids but they make it both fun and give them a headstart with their education. My boy won't shut up at the moment about all he's learned about the solar system.
Proof in the pudding that we were delighted to send our
younger daughter too.

I have worked for Banana Moon since the nursery first opened in 2012. I hold a Diploma in Nursery Nursing, which I was awarded in 1999. 

I am a mummy of two boys, that is my world. Both of them have attended Banana Moon and have both now graduated. and flown the nest.

Working with children is my passion, and I love nothing more than seeing children flourish, learn, develop and grow over the years at Banana Moon.

The children and families are the key part of our Banana Moon family. We are not just a nursery we are your children’s family. 

My role is to allow children to follow their interests and for the staff to provide stimulating learning environments for them to do so. Keeping everyone safe is paramount, it’s my role as the Senior Nursery Manager,  I have a duty of care for the children, staff and families that are enrolled within our setting.

I completed my Level 3 Childcare Learning and development in 2009 and gained a certificate of higher education in Educational studies in 2010.

I joined the Banana Moon family in October 2018 as Deputy Manager and have supported the teams and families since then. I have a passion for childcare and try to look at all aspects from the child's point of view to make new ways to learn fun and exciting. Our young children are our future and it is our role to ensure that we inspire the next generation and motivate them in delivering exceptionally outstanding child care. Supporting my team in achieving this and watching the children grow and learn is the most rewarding part of working in Early years education. Being able to give every child equal opportunities to reach their full potential is something that we truly believe in at Banana Moon Billericay.

I finished my GCSE, in August 2023 I decided an Apprenticeship would be best suited for me. I approached Banana Moon Billericay in September 2023 as I liked the way the nursery looked and the vibe that it had. I am excited to watch the staff role model great expectations for the children, so I can lead the nursery generation of Banana Moon children. There are different age groups of children which all have different rooms, before working in childcare, I wasn't sure what to expect. This means all the children have age-appropriate rooms and activities going on. I have learned so much already. I have just started my level 2 qualification in childcare.
