Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Acton Park

This nursery is a wonderful community of dedicated practitioners who put the interests of the children at the heart of everything they do. It's a small nursery where everyone knows every child and although activities are tailored to different age groups there is also some interaction between the groups which allows older and younger children to learn from each other and play together. The nursery has a wonderful garden area bordering on to Acton Park, and children are outside every day (weather permitting). The activities include lots of opportunities for messy or water play, which is wonderful for the children's sensory development and means I don't have to get my house messy as much! The staff are open, accommodating and non-judgemental to parents' choices, e.g. for extended breastfeeding or dietary choices.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all for making (our child) have a lovely time at nursery. She has had lots of fun and her confidence has come on so much. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for being such lovely, caring preschool teachers to (our child) over the last months.

Someone told me that when we found the right nursery we would just ‘know’ and that is so true. From meeting the team, we knew our child would be well cared for. There are so many different personalities and that’s why we love it; this inclusive nursery is exactly what we want for our child. Kindness and care are prioritised. We get daily updates about what our child has been up to at the end of each day. Any feedback is well received and we work together, we joke that they are the third parent but it’s true! Our child is really happy at this nursery and really enjoys her day, she loves the staff very much. We would not want her anywhere else. Babes are happy and loved. We trust them to provide great care and this has been demonstrated time and time again to us.

There’s such a fantastic atmosphere at the nursery. The staff are all amazing, and the children seem so happy - especially my granddaughter - she loves it. The children are learning important social skills, as well as enjoying a wonderful range of learning activities. When the time comes, I think they’re all going to be very well-equipped to move on to full-time school.

Hungry Caterpillar Acton Park is a home-from-home for our little girl. The manager and the entire team are nothing short of incredible - not only are they are so caring, our daughter learns so much with them. She has really developed her language and creativity as well as learning practical skills like putting on clothes unaided (which we hadn’t started to teach her at home yet!). Our daughter goes into nursery with a smile and leaves with a smile, and that’s down to the amazing team.

Our little boy has been attending Hungry Caterpillar, Acton Park, for almost two years and the impact on his development and social skills has been fantastic! The welcoming and caring staff team have always made us feel well supported; we've always felt we're working with them on everything. I'd highly recommend it.

Perfect stuff for my 4 children, I have sent them to the same school. I’m happy with everything you have done. I’m very pleased, I know if I send them to another school, my kids are gonna be good thank you.

My son recently started at the nursery for the first time. The staff really helped both of us with the process, they are so friendly, approachable and loving and after a few days, he settled in perfectly. He loves going to nursery and enjoys it so much which made going back to work after maternity leave for me so much easier. They always go above and beyond and I am so pleased I chose Hungry Caterpillars!

Love this nursery. I was feeling guilty at the beginning when I was taking my son to nursery, but after that everything went smoothly. The staff communication was amazing and I had nothing to worry about.

The Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Acton Park has been an excellent fit for my daughter. The staff are fantastic - kind, thorough and attentive. There is a genuine feeling of care and a great energy from staff whenever you drop off/pick up. The menu is varied, healthy and caters for all needs. My daughter has settled in well and loves attending.

My daughter attends this nursery. Incredibly supportive, attentive, and hardworking staff and she just loves it there! Always nutritious and well thought out meals and snacks, plus total nursery environment is nurturing and homely - Very comfortable leaving her there and knowing she is in safe hands.

The staff is amazing, caring and welcomes my baby with a smile. I love that they are patient and answer all my questions/concerns. The environment is baby friendly and it is always buzzing with great energy.

My daughter started nursery in January and I couldn’t have had a better experience with a nursery. The places I visited before were unwelcoming and staff didn’t seem close with the children. My experience at Hungry Caterpillars Acton Park couldn’t have been any different. Every single staff member has a genuine care and interest in my daughter, making her feel welcome and happy from the first day she attended. She took a liking to them straight away. They were able to bypass any potential worries I might’ve had like potentially not napping, not eating properly etc. She slept her normal nap time comfortably from the first day and enjoys all of the food. The environment is always clean and organised which is great given the worries since Covid. My daughter is fifteen months and can’t stop talking about her friends and going to nursery. I honestly couldn’t say enough good things about this nursery I am so happy that my daughter attends. 10/10

The nursery is such a warm and welcoming place to drop our little girl into every morning. She's growing up so fast and it's great to know she is being nurtured and educated so well by the staff. And so well fed. I have a feeling she has made some friends for life already too. As another reviewer has said, it would be great to access the wonderful park on the doorstep with 'forest school' activities at some point in the future, which I understand might be happening once staffing provision/training is settled and in place. Overall would thoroughly recommend it.

Our daughter has been loving her time at the nursery. All the staff have been lovely. The manager has been very flexible and supportive with the all the changes in the days we need to take our daughter to the nursery.

All of the team at Hungry Caterpillar Day Nursery - Acton Park go above and beyond to make your little person feel welcome and happy every day. Our little girl comes home singing new songs each week and they develop vocabulary in such an amazing way that she is making leaps and bounds with her speech. The food served is diverse and delicious and she enjoys her meals. The team give great advice, take on board your child’s areas for development and they just make your family feel so special. We love it there.

We have been really happy with the nursery. Our child comes home knowing more and more things and continues to surprise us. The other day she named all the numbers on the buildings on the way home! Also our child absolutely loves going here. It's what gets her out of bed in the mornings! (Weekends are tricky)

A really homely nursery where our son is loved and cared for. Staff are genuine and take an interest and there is a lovely atmosphere in the nursery despite a lot of staff changes over the past 12 months. Daily food options are terrific, variable and nutritious. Would be great if the kids could access Acton Park but we are very happy with the nursery.
