Townsend Montessori Nursery Margate is a welcoming and homely setting, located in the picturesque coastal town of Margate. The setting follows a Montessori approach to education, which prioritises the growth and development of each child, in a supportive and engaging space designed for them to learn and thrive.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, inspired by the Montessori approach, fostering meaningful connections between children and the world around them and helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

Inside, the three rooms are thoughtfully designed and equipped with age-appropriate resources to support children's development. Outside, there is a large, secure garden that provides ample space for children to play, explore and learn, offering a sand and water play area, a climbing frame, trikes and open spaces to run around.

The youngest children begin their journey in the Lion Cubs Room on the ground floor, where their Key Carer follows their individual routines and plans fun activities for them to enjoy throughout the day. As they grow older, they progress to the Monkey's Room, where they are encouraged to make independent choices and select their own resources.

In the Tigers Room, Pre-School children develop school readiness skills and can participate in various extra-curricular activities such as rugby, football, dance and yoga to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

Since my son has been at nursery, he has come on so far. The team at Margate are all so wonderful, kind and have been really supportive. They made us feel so at ease leaving him at nursery and they give updates during the day when they can. It is so reassuring knowing he has such caring nursery workers.
His key person is fantastic and we love seeing him comfortable with her. Equally all the team are wonderful and we are so happy we chose this nursery.

I cannot rate Townsend Montessori Margate highly enough! The staff have been incredibly welcoming to my son and I. They are always friendly, enthusiastic and caring. My little boy is absolutely thriving here with the excellent range of activities and games and the lovely outdoor space. There is always
something different and exciting to stimulate the children. Communication is very smooth via the app and I get a clear view of how much my son has eaten which is very helpful. I know already that my two year old will not want to leave when it's time for school.

My son joined the nursery from 9 months and has enjoyed it ever since. The staff have been very attentive and always keep him busy with plenty of interesting activities, both inside and out, that I would simply struggle to find the time (and imagination) to come up with at home. I value the time that
the staff have at the end of the day to give me a breakdown of what he's done and answer any questions I have. The app provides us with comfort and a sense of security with regular updates throughout his time there. I found the PDF explanation of the fees and funding a little confusing at first but regular exchanges with the admin staff we managed to work through it.
Have spoken highly of the nursery to other parents and will continue to recommend going forward.

Since my girl has been at the nursery she is coming on great. All the staff are so Pleasant and nurturing. She has fitted in so well there and the staff always know how to deal with whatever she wants or needs, I love the fact that she goes to this nursery and couldn't have found a better place for

My daughter has been going here since she was 9 months old. She absolutely loves it and has come on leaps and bounds since joining. They're always doing interesting activities and expanding their experiences. She is so sociable and engaged and has a real bond with the staff, who just seem to genuinely

My 1 year old started in the baby room in September and since then his development has came on so much. He loves nursery and has a bond with all his teachers they always give a good handover and let me know how my son has been and what he has been doing throughout the day. Before my son started nursery
he really struggle to separate from me but since starting nursery he's become so confident and will happily go into nursery and play.

Lovely nursery situated close to the town centre. Great experience so far. The staff is friendly and supportive in all situations that might occur. My little one loves the place and she can't wait for when she will be able to go again. The nursery is spacious with garden equipment for different age
groups. The reason why I chose this nursery was that it's very close to the school where I hope she will go and it's close to our home. Highly recommended, you will not regret it.

We had an issue with our grandson's behaviour and arranged a meeting to discuss the issue..they were helpful and understood what was needed to proceed with the behaviour issues. Management and staff kept me updated on a daily basis so we could praise our grandson for his behaviour.

My son went to your nursery before he started big school and you guys were great with him, my daughter also still goes there and she loves it too. I am passionate about giving children the best start in their early education by providing them with a fun and stimulating environment. This allows them to thrive in their abilities and ensures that they have access to enriching experiences to equip them with an understanding of the world around them. The whole team and I here at Margate reflect this passion and vision within the everyday practice to ensure the ethos is thoroughly embedded throughout the nursery and that all children and families are given the best experience during their time here.
