Meet Murtaza – Director

Murtaza is the friendly, approachable Director of Banana Moon Moseley and is a well-known, familiar face throughout the nursery. His warm personality and genuine passion for working with children make him a favourite with both families and staff. As a proud father of three and grandfather to four grandchildren, Murtaza understands the importance of providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where every child can flourish.

You will regularly see Murtaza around the nursery meeting with parents and families, chatting with the children, and joining in with a variety of activities throughout the day. He enjoys building strong relationships with our nursery community and believes that open communication and a welcoming atmosphere are key to creating the best possible experience for every family.

Murtaza is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring that Banana Moon Moseley is a happy, safe, and inspiring place for children to learn and grow. He also holds an Introduction to Safeguarding Certificate, demonstrating his commitment to promoting children's safety and wellbeing. His hands-on approach, enthusiasm, and dedication to the nursery are reflected in everything he does, making him an integral part of daily life at Banana Moon Moseley.

Meet Rukhsar – Nursery Manager

Rukhsar is our dedicated Nursery Manager and plays a key role in ensuring Banana Moon Moseley provides the highest standards of care, education, and support for every child and family. She holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to her role.

As our nominated Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), Rukhsar is committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of every child. She works closely alongside our Deputy Manager and wider team to support all rooms in continually developing the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring children receive engaging, meaningful experiences that help them reach their full potential.

Rukhsar is passionate about creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. When spending time with the children, she enjoys following their interests and extending their learning through imaginative, fun, and engaging activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Her approachable nature, strong leadership, and commitment to supporting both children and staff make her an invaluable member of the Banana Moon Moseley team.

Meet Anisa – Deputy Manager & Toddlers Room Leader

Anisa has been a valued member of the Banana Moon Moseley team since 2022. She joined us as a Room Leader and, through her dedication, hard work, and passion for early years education, progressed to the role of Deputy Manager in 2026. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Anisa continues to lead our Toddlers Room, where she creates a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment that supports every child's development.

With a wealth of experience working with children of all ages, Anisa is committed to providing the highest standard of care and education. She is passionate about helping children build confidence, develop new skills, and reach their full potential. Her caring nature, strong leadership, and positive attitude make her an invaluable part of our team, and she is greatly appreciated by both families and colleagues alike.

Meet Sheryll – Assistant Deputy Manager

Sheryll has been a valued member of the Banana Moon Moseley team since 2014 and is an integral part of our nursery. She holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, as well as a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, giving her a broad range of knowledge and experience in supporting children's development and well-being.

As our Assistant Deputy Manager, Sheryll plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery. Alongside supporting the management team and working across all rooms, she is also responsible for many of the nursery's administrative duties, helping to ensure everything runs efficiently behind the scenes. Her excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to support both staff and families make her an invaluable member of the team.

She enjoys building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues and is always on hand to offer support and guidance. Her caring, approachable nature, combined with her experience and dedication, makes her a trusted and valued member of the Banana Moon Moseley team.

Meet Asma – Assistant Deputy Manager & Teenies Room Leader

Asma has been a valued member of the Banana Moon Moseley team since joining us in 2023. She began her journey as a Senior Nursery Nurse and, through her hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing outstanding care, has progressed to the role of Assistant Deputy Manager. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Asma is also the Room Leader for our Teenies Room, where she creates a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our youngest children.

Asma plays an important role in supporting the management team and staff across the nursery, helping to ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained. She is also one of our nursery's Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), demonstrating her commitment to promoting the safety, wellbeing, and welfare of every child in our care.

Passionate about early years education, Asma enjoys planning engaging activities that encourage children to explore, learn, and develop through play. She builds strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues and is always on hand to offer support and guidance. Her caring nature, positive attitude, and dedication to helping every child reach their full potential make her an invaluable member of the Banana Moon Moseley team.

Meet Faith – Assistant Deputy Manager & Baby Moons Room Leader

Faith has been a valued member of the Banana Moon Moseley team since 2015. She began her journey with us as a Nursery Nurse and, through years of hard work, dedication, and professional development, progressed to the role of Assistant Deputy Manager in 2026. Alongside her leadership responsibilities, Faith is also the Room Leader for our Baby Moons Room, where she provides a warm, nurturing, and caring environment for our youngest children.

Over the years, Faith has grown in confidence and developed a wealth of experience in early years education. She is passionate about supporting children's learning and development, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Her calm, caring approach helps children settle into nursery and build strong foundations for their future learning.

Faith is also one of our nursery's Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), reflecting her commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care. She works closely with the management team to maintain the highest standards across the nursery and is always on hand to support children, families, and colleagues.
