Chestnut Nursery School @ Chesterton

I have worked in early years settings for 6 years and have worked my way up from Practitioner to Manager here at Chestnut Nursery School Chesterton. I completed my Level 2 childcare qualification at college and then completed my Level 3 qualification here at Chestnut. I enjoy working here as part of a passionate and enthusiastic team, providing care and learning opportunities to the children who attend. I also believe in promoting positive bonds with parents and carers to further support the children in our care and give them the best starts in life. Working together, we aim to promote the health, safety and happiness of all the children who walk through the door.

Hi, my name is Amy and I have been working in the early years settings since 2016. I began my childcare career as an apprentice working here at Chestnut Chesterton where I gained my level 3 qualification and became baby room team leader. Since then I have worked in another setting to professionally progress within my career and gained new skills, becoming the Third in charge manager and leading a preschool. I returned to Chestnut Chesterton in 2025 after having my daughter and have since worked my way up to my current position as Deputy manager. I have a passion for creating nurturing spaces and helping each child achieve their best!
