Our little one loves this nursery. She is very happy to be there and the staff seem to have built really good relationships with all the children.
We enjoy the daily updates on the app. They seem to do a nice range of themed activities and I love seeing my daughter bring home new songs and words that
she has learnt. We particularly like the amount of outdoor space and time spent outdoors given we're in a city and they eat good healthy food, which is reassuring at this age.

Such a lovely nursery, my son loves going to school. He has learned so much and loves his friends. Everyone is so friendly kind and supportive.
A very clean and well managed, also school food is very good, my son tries lots of different foods.
Communication is very good, letting you know when there
are activities also if there are any illnesses going around. Very good nursery, I feel very safe leaving my son.

For our 18 month old son, who has been at this nursery for 6 months, and for us, Chestnut Nursery School @ Chesterton is wonderful. The management, education and care staff teams have been fantastic, attentive, devoted, creative and purposeful. Settling in was really well done and our boy has developed
so well through all the activities, guidance and motivation the team provide and he enjoys his time there so very much. In particular, we really value the way much is themed around a new book every two weeks - this allows the staff to be creative in designing activities for early learning development goals, and gives those activities another layer and connection for the children. There is also a clear focus on the child's individual needs and interests and responsiveness to his emerging character and energy levels (which are high!). With daily care updates and reports on his engagement with activities (with photos) via the app, we feel close to our son and genuinely touched by how much the staff team do for our boy, and how well they have got to know him. The nursery is a happy place and every day we collect him, we find a happy boy.

Our child is welcomed with a jolly smile every morning. It's always great to hear the other children giving him a cheery goodbye at pick up time. The key thing for us is that staff appear to focus on looking after the child and developing a relationship with the child, as opposed to solely being focused
on pleasing the parents. Kids first approach. We think it's great.

Our son has always been happy at the nursery.
There's been a few examples where the nursery could have done better, from our point of view. But given the turn around with staff and the challenges with recruitment, at least it's been kept open!

Our child started the nursery a couple of months ago and has settled very quickly. All the staff, even from different rooms, have quickly built an excellent and warm relationship and we are very pleased with the progress our child is showing. Very useful to get regular overviews of their progress against

We have sons in preschool and baby room. Our eldest has enjoyed all three rooms, particularly the large amount of time spent in the separate gardens. He has been helped with some key skills around eating, using gentle hands and (thank you!) potty training which we were struggling with at home.
Preschool
have a great variety of activities including cooking and (optional) trips out on nature walks/to the shops. We feel confident about the safety measures on these trips out.
Sometimes classes join together when it's quieter which allows the boys to play together and gives a bit more excitement for the older babies.
Feedback via the app and verbally is good and has improved a lot in recent months. We are told the activities for the next week in advance which is helpful so we can talk about the plan at home.
Staff genuinely care for the children and enjoy being with them. Staff turnover was high but the room leaders are all well established and passionate.

Our child started at nursery when he was one and he is now nearly 2. I am a teacher and have been very impressed with the provision, friendliness of staff and, most importantly, the happiness of my child going in and coming home from nursery. Staff have taken their time to get to know our child well
and it is clear they care about him and his developing needs. I am currently pregnant and have already asked to put our name down for a place as we are so happy at Chestnut.

I have used Chestnut nursery Chesterton for all 5 of my children since 2017 my eldest 4 children absolutely loved nursery and preschool! My daughter started in September last year and she is very happy at the nursery. She's in the toddler room. It is now becoming much more consistent with daily updates
recorded on the app. She has formed a lovely bond with her key worker and most other staff in her room and clearly enjoys her time in nursery. I feel really confident that she is safe and cared for at Chestnut. You can clearly see all the staff are dedicated to their jobs and absolutely adore the children! My daughter also loves their very spacious garden and their messy play activities and she has come on leaps and bounds since starting nursery. She absolutely loves the meals and snacks that are provided.
Overall, I am happy with the nursery and would recommend it without a doubt.

My daughter is very happy at the nursery. She was in the baby room and now in the toddler room. There has been a high turnover of staff over the last few months, but everyone seems to keep to more or less the same good quality standard. It is now becoming much more consistent with daily updates recorded
on the app and many activities added to the daily and monthly routine. Overall, I am happy with the nursery and would recommend it without a doubt.

My son is in Class 2 at Chestnut Nursery and is extremely happy there. He has formed a strong bond with his key worker and is always excited to go to nursery in the morning. He started when he was 18-months-old and has developed lots of new skills in the time that he’s been there. He particularly loves
the outdoor space which is very spacious.

Chestnut does a great job, we have sent both our daughters there. They have great facilities and a good core team of staff that care about the children. Excellent nursery, staff are very friendly, welcoming and show great care. My daughter has been attending Chestnut Nursery since March 2017 and it took her only a couple of days to settle in. I feel confident leaving her at the nursery knowing she is in good hands. My daughter is so happy to go to nursery
and enjoys every day at nursery. They have a range of activities planned for each week which keeps her engaged and entertained. I recommend this nursery to everyone.

Class 3 (preschool) has been challenging for the past few months but with the recent staff change, it feels like a happy place again. I'd like to see more results of what they do during the day but overall I am much happier.
Management has been poor since January 2018 but the manager and trainee manager
are doing a great job. I hope they won't see another change of management any time soon.

My partner and I have a very good feeling about leaving our 3 boys at Chestnut Nursery.
Our most important wish is that our little ones are happy while staying there.

She is well developed and very obviously loved.
The staff know my daughter very well.

I completed my Level 2 childcare qualification at college and then completed my Level 3 qualification here at Chestnut.
