The nursery is managed by the Early Year's Alliance, whose contribution to the sector is highly-regarded throughout England. All activities are planned in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and there is a strong focus on healthy eating.
The nursery is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and three staff training days.
Families accessing government-funded childcare hours are not charged for extras such as consumables, learning resources, or activities. However, a contribution is asked towards snacks and meals, which is entirely voluntary for families accessing funded hours.

The nursery does not charge a registration fee. However, families who are paying fees are required to pay a deposit to secure their child's place. This deposit is fully refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice, provided the required notice period has been given and all terms of the agreement have been met. Full details of the deposit and notice requirements will be provided during the enrolment process to ensure complete transparency and peace of mind for families.

My little girl started here when she was a toddler all the staff are great helped her extremely well with her speech I couldn’t ask for more. I was so nervous about putting her in nursery but after the first visit, they made us feel welcome, and trusting in them to look after my child and do wonders with her. I also have my 2-year-old son in the nursery and he loves it and all the staff. I also like how staff report what they have been doing each day and if you have any problems they're so easy to talk to. I would really recommend it to anyone in the area. My little boys has come on so much since being there.

West Street Nursery has been a fantastic nursery for my child. I have seen him go from strength to strength and the staff are extremely involved, supportive and caring. As a mother, I was always at peace with my child attending. The staff always take the time to attend to and support the needs of my child, working closely with myself and other family members in supporting my child also.
My son had a speech delay and I was very well supported in the identification of this and in devising support plans at the nursery and home.

My child started out in the Baby room at West Street Nursery and is now in the Preschool room. She has been at West Street for about 2 years now. There's this positive atmosphere at West Street Nursery that gives a parent confidence every time you drop your child. The facilities are really great and teachers always give you feedback about your child's development. In addition to the feedback from teachers, the app gives you real-time updates as to what your child is up to and this just makes managing your child much easier. The staff at West Street seem very well picked as there seems to be a very high level of childcare competence across each of the rooms. A big thank you to everyone at West Street Nursery.

Our child has been attending West Street Nursery since he was a baby. He is now in pre-school. We have been very happy with the nursery throughout this time and our son has a great time there. Staff are very friendly and engaging with the children. We receive regular updates through the app on our son’s development and progress; the app is also a convenient tool to keep staff posted on holidays, sick days etc. Staff will also always make time when we drop off or pick up our son for a quick chat on how he is doing.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son enjoys going to this nursery. He has been to a few but settled in well here and looks forward to the next day at nursery. Lots of activities for the kids and I find it helpful that I can monitor what my child has had in terms of meals across the day and when he gets picked and dropped up at nursery in real-time. The staff are friendly, engaging and helpful. Security at the nursery is top-notch and the nursery is always kept clean.

There aren’t words to express my gratitude and love for West Street Nursery. I had three children pass through the nursery and I can honestly say each class provided the right setting to enrich their development and skills. West Street Nursery felt like an extended family member, from the staff whom we’ve come love and cherish to the other parents where friendship bonds have not been limited to the kids. Our children are a product of West Street Nursery's drive to nurture and support the children through all their key stages.
While at the nursery we found out one of our children had allergies to a number of foods. This was due to the support of the staff encouraging us not to give and put it down to being a fussy eater but kept on giving us supporting letters for our appointment until finally allergies were confirmed and that wasn’t the end of their support. Adapting their menu for him giving a free from alternative to what the others were eating encouraged inclusivity.
