Banana Moon Day Nursery Nunhead

My child still attends Banana Moon Day Nursery Nunhead and loves it! He started in the baby room and is now preparing to go into the preschool there! It is so comforting to see all the staff with the children as they clearly adore them and this has been a great relief for me. I leave my child at the nursery knowing not only is he well provided for, socialised and learning but also that the staff are genuinely caring, nurturing and supportive. His language and development has come on leaps and bounds and the thought and effort put into the activities are amazing! Banana Moon Day Nursery Nunhead has definitely been a joy for us!

The baby unit staff made it as easy as possible for us to feel safe to leave our baby with them and he quickly bonded with them. At the Holydale Rd unit, where he is now, the management and staff go above and beyond for all children. They pick up on individual likes and support these by the activities they're planning. It's important for them to include parents and other family members as well. More than once I've dropped off my son and thought 'I would love to stay and participate in all the activities today'. We can't recommend this nursery enough to anyone looking for a great place with great people for their child.

We absolutely love Banana Moon Nursery! My daughter has now left to go to school after two very happy years, and my son (age 2) still attends in the toddler room and absolutely loves it. The whole place feels like a family, and they pay so much care and attention to each and every child. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a loving and nurturing placement for their child.

My son has been at Banana Moon Nunhead for over a year now and we couldn't be happier with the nursery. He started at 5-months old and the nursery staff took great care of him as a younger baby. He has now grown into a curious toddler and the staff is extremely caring and attentive, always looking to improve and create new learning experiences for the children. This winter they have also redone the garden of the under 2 sites and the children are able to spend lots of time outside. Their opening hours are very good for parents working full time.

My child really enjoys their time at the nursery playing and bonding with a diverse group of children. The staff are also warm and empathetic in nature and I feel confident leaving my child in their care.

My son moved to Banana Moon aged 2.5 after attending another nursery in the neighbourhood. Banana Moon is miles ahead in terms of facilities and care. It’s such a gorgeous nursery that puts a lot of attention into educating kids on foods and ingredients, music and art. All the carers that I have experienced are extremely loving and fond of the kids, and the member of staff who runs the nursery is beyond passionate and committed ensuring the nursery is the very best.

Both my Children Love Banana Moon Nursery. The staff are amazing and so attentive! My son wasn’t the easiest in transitioning from me returning to work but the care they provided put me at ease now he can’t wait to leave me. I’m more than happy.

My son has been at Banana Moon Day Nursery Nunhead for 4 years and loved every minute. The staff are fantastic and care so much about the children. They always think of new areas to investigate and teach them, encouraging them to try new things. There is such a broad range of activities from gardening to science experiments and cooking. We would recommend this nursery, you will not want to leave.

They have loved coming, for several years which is testament to the hard work, dedication and care provided by all of the staff. I honestly cannot fault the care, the love and the attention that all the staff have. I am glad that my second child is still here for another two years as I would miss this is setting too much.

We love Banana Moon Day Nursery Nunhead the staff are wonderful, they are amazing with the children and communicate well with the parents. The new site is huge and brilliantly resourced. Our children are very happy there and we have had a fantastic experience throughout. Highly recommended.

The staff are competent and their obvious love and care for the children has been the defining feature of both of my children's time here. I have previously recommended Banana Moon to other parents and will continue to do so.

Banana Moon has been a warm and nurturing nursery for 3 years for our son. The staff form genuine bonds and affection with children and parents. I have only ever felt content bringing our children here. We have had wonderful trips into London, around the local community and so many wonderful celebrations over the years. I shall miss Banana Moon very much!

I am extremely amazed at how polite and helpful the staff are and how easily they helped settle my nerves and how good the management team were at helping me with any queries I had. My son is extremely happy and can’t wait to go back the next day.

Banana Moon was recommended to us by a neighbour and we are so happy we found it! Our 2-year-old son has been attending for the past 6 months and we are delighted with his care. The staff are wonderful - engaged, caring and we have found the communication between staff and parents to be excellent. The facilities including the home-cooked food are also fantastic. We are so happy with the progress that our son has been making, he comes home with something new he has learnt every day. The settling in period when he first started was so well done and made the process as stress-free as possible for everyone concerned! Our son is excited every morning about “school” so I can’t ask for more than that.

The staff at Banana Moon have been nothing but kind and caring towards our daughter. Settling your child in anywhere was never going to be easy but they made the experience as painless as possible. I was blown away by the energy many of the key workers had day in day out - their love for my child felt genuine and that was a real comfort to us. Although we weren't at Banana Moon for long it seemed as though every day was filled with new and fun activities including lots of messy play. The lovely staff were always quick to answer the phone when I wanted to check in and were brilliant at relaying information and updating me on how my daughter was, especially in those first few weeks. I didn't get to use the app properly but I have heard it is user friendly and gets updated regularly with notes on child's sleep and how much they ate at each mealtime etc. There is also a great network of supportive parents who meet regularly and welcomed us into the Banana Moon community.

Hopefully, once things open up more it would be great to have a social event for parents. And looking forward to them being able to do more externally in the form of trips out to playgrounds, farms etc.

Since my daughter has started I’ve heard nothing but good things about my daughter and I believe that. I’ve seen the way the staff are around the children is so lovely to see it makes you feel more at peace sending your child to nursery.
