Naturally Learning Charlestown

As parents, we are so incredibly happy with our choice to send our Son to Naturally Learning. The staff do a wonderful job and we like how they do such creative things with the children. By sending him to this nursery, we feel it has helped with his development a lot in all aspects. It is reassuring for us to be able to go to work, knowing he is in safe hands and having such a great time. Thanks to the team for all your hard work.

Our daughter joined Charlestown nursery in March this year following a recent move to the area. We have been absolutely delighted with our choice - the staff in the baby room are fantastic; they are always warm, friendly and nurturing and find the time (and energy!) to talk to us about our child at the end of each day. We also love the ‘Famly’ app where the staff post updates and photos throughout the day so we can see exactly what activities the babies have been doing and what delicious food has been on the menu each day.

The photos are often quite candid and really make us laugh! Our daughter has grown so much in confidence in just a couple of months, she can’t wait to go to nursery and is so eager to leave the house in the morning! She is happy and tired at the end of a full day of stimulating activities and lots of fresh air so her sleep has improved too!

Son just transferred from explorers to preschool. Forest is a lovely environment for learning, the staff there supported transition well and great variety in activities daily. Son loves going, looking forward to the summer outside.

My son loves going to Charlestown, he is always excited to go and always has a big smile on his face when I pick him up. He loves the outdoors and makes many observations when he comes out of school. The staff are lovely and are always so helpful.

Natural Learning Charlestown is a lovely preschool. The people who look after my daughter are very helpful as she has down syndrome. She is out in the forest part every day with the rest of the children who turn 3. They learn to use different tools they help cook by the campfire play in the muddy puddles. They do come out very dirty but happy. They get taught different things, learn songs, read books and have lots of room to play. I would definitely recommend it to people to send their children there.

My 11-month-old son attends Charlestown nursery in the babies group. The team have such a welcoming vibe, they made me feel very comfortable considering my son was born in lockdown and hasn’t mingled with many people outside of the family. The activities the team do on a daily basis make it so worthwhile, getting muddy, painting with edible paint, all-natural resources for play, and lots of singing. The food is always colourful and healthy. The team have created such a family vibe, I feel like my son is spending his days with all of his aunts! Absolute amazing team. (The team are so well placed, so very polite and extremely loving) I give this nursery 5 stars!

Cannot rate this nursery highly enough! Our son started the setting 6 months ago and being a Covid baby he had barely been away from us. The team were so reassuring, always letting us know when he was settled and sending me regular updates throughout the day. He is now thriving! Every area has improved, from his communication to his physical abilities. Whenever we’ve had any questions, someone has always been able to answer straight away. And they’ve just given us such great advice.

They are all amazing.

Both my children really enjoy their time at nursery. The staff are all very kind and caring. I am so pleased I chose this nursery to send my precious little gems as they are at their happiest when they are outside exploring nature which is what this nursery is all about.

Honestly couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! Both my son and daughter have attended this nursery and they have progressed so much. All of the staff are friendly, fun and caring. The children enjoy being outside in the fresh air in all types of weather. Playing in the sunshine or splashing in puddles.

The staff are amazingly friendly and make every effort to help you and your child on every way. As an anxious parent they are brilliant at making sure they have the time to talk to me and answer any questions we have. They always ask about your child and do what's best for them to continue home life at forest school, toilet training is a big one. My son asks everyday if he can go as he loves it so much. We hope they will open a forest school for children five years and over to continue their fabulous work and allow children to continue education in forest school as they grow. Absolutely brilliant.

We feel incredibly lucky that our daughter is able to attend this nursey. She absolutely loves it and thoroughly enjoys all of the activities both indoors and out. The team are fantastic, they are a great support, helpful, caring and honest and it is very easy to work with them to provide the best care and learning for your child.

I love that they encourage outdoor learning all year round and support families to ensure that our children can be warm and dry.

I love this nursery. The children are nurtured and cared for. When my children had chickenpox, we were supported all the way through. They remembered the children’s birthdays and made a big deal out of it when they came home from their weekend at a holiday park. My twins have made some great friends and look forward to going each day. When some children were not being very kind to my two, the nursery went above and beyond to reassure me all was being done to sort out the behaviour. My daughter has named all of her dolls after the nursery staff, she loves them that much. They spend their time in the forest, the beach and the garden, rarely indoors. They get good nutritional varied foods and are encouraged to try new things as well as having opportunities that would exist at no other nursery such as true forest skills. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Even with family safety issues, they went above and beyond to ensure my children’s safety and I couldn’t be more grateful!

The nursery is lovely. The activities are always child lead and natural. The nursery is clean and cosy and welcoming and the Estate is great. The manager is always helpful and friendly. We love the nursery.

My granddaughter goes to this nursery, and she loves it. She learns so much and always tells me what she is learning. I love the whole ethos of this nursery; the whole natural learning is so in, keeping up with how children learn and evolve. Lovely nursery with outstanding teachers.

My little boy loved Naturally Learning where he attended from 9 months old until he started school. I loved that he could be outside so much and he was well supported by the SEN team and referrals made to the Area SEN team and speech and language. His transition to school was great with the nursery visiting the primary school once a week. I loved the daily photos on the app so I could see what he was up to during the day. He loved his key worker and was always happy to go with the staff. He loved being able to light fires and cook snacks and sometimes lunch on the fire. Climbing trees and being able to risk assess during risky play helped with his physical development and self confidence. The children experience a proper childhood mud and all.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. The various activities they do keep the children stimulated and excited and they are always excited to tell me what they’ve done at nursery. Not only is it enjoyable for the children but it’s educational and the staff are particularly excellent at their jobs.

An amazing place for children to attend. The forest is a special place and I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for childcare.

Such a brilliant nursery with such caring and hardworking staff. Both my niece and nephew attend here and love every single minute of it. Rain or shine, they have a wonderful time and I can’t recommend this nursery enough.
