Boys & Girls Nursery Rickmansworth

As a parent, you just know when something feels right and I know when my daughter was close to turning 1 that I needed to return to work and ensure she was in a happy and safe environment for 4 full days a week. I took a tour around Boys & Girls when my daughter was barely 3 months old and I already knew it was perfect for her and us. I had seen nearly 6 local nurseries but none of them ticked all the boxes. My daughter has now been at the nursery for nearly a whole year and she has blossomed into a funny, caring and confident child.

Our son has attended boys and girls Rickmansworth since he was just over 1yr old, he is due to leave at the end of August to start school. He took a while to settle but even so we could see the positive impact being at nursery was having. In particular, in the last 8 months, we have seen such positive social confidence in him. He seeks out 'friends' wherever we go and is super confident at introducing himself and interacting with people. He is our little superstar and we thank the part that Boys & Girs has played in developing him to where he is today.

My son joined the pre-toddler room at Boys & Girls Nursery Rickmansworth and has moved up 2 stages into the pre-school room, we have never thought of moving him. I have always been impressed with the care shown at Boys and Girls. Staff have always made me feel confident that my son is not only looked after but valued by the team. He regularly comes home with new songs, new games and a whole range of stories which show not only how much he enjoys being in this nursery but how much progress he is making. His current key person is always warm and welcoming. They have been incredible during the pandemic, providing a safe environment and balancing the needs of us as parents with the difficult circumstances. Thank you to the manager and the team for everything you've done.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since Jan 2021 and it's been really great. She had never attended nursery before and joined when she was 2.5 so I was a bit worried about how she would settle as she hadn't mixed much with children her own age with all the Covid stuff going on. I have to say she settled in really well so quickly, the nursery and staff were excellent and she loves going to nursery. I've been so happy with her progress there really is nothing I can fault or say I've not been happy with. I'd highly recommend Boys & Girls Rickmansworth. Thank you for looking after my daughter so well and making her so happy.

My son had a great experience at Boys & Girls Nursery Rickmansworth. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, to the point where my son didn't even feel upset to be leaving me. I felt thoroughly at ease and reassured, knowing that my son was getting such good care and attention. The feedback that we got on a daily basis was thorough and detailed; everything is documented. Boys & Girls Rickmansworth have been absolutely fantastic with both of my children. My first has transitioned through all the rooms and has loved them all equally. She loves all the staff and all of the key workers. After the first lockdown closure, they made all the children feel so welcome, my daughter was delighted to be back there! My second started during the third lockdown and has loved every day. Her key worker has taken so much time to get to know her and provide her with a stable presence in the baby room. The staff are so supportive and welcoming, I couldn’t have hoped for better for my children.

I highly recommend this nursery. Everything from the initial (virtual) tour to the induction process, regular newsletters/updates, varied food menu and the feedback on my child's development has been top-notch. The girls working in the baby room are amazing, they settled in my child really well and she now can't wait to go in and play each day. The structure they use for play and learning is clearly working, her development since starting nursery is clear to see. The nursery is handling the current pandemic situation excellently and their procedures leave me feeling confident that I can drop my baby off into a safe environment.

Our daughter started at Boys & Girls Rickmansworth in January 2021. She was born in lockdown and due to all the restrictions throughout the year, we were worried about how she would settle considering the lack of contact she has had with other people. We are thoroughly impressed with all the staff at Boys & Girls Rickmansworth who look after our daughter like she's their own, she has settled in no time and we have no issues with dropping her off. We get regular updates every day about what she has eaten, how she has slept and what she has done that day. We can't thank the staff enough for making our daughter's transition to nursery a smooth one.

Fantastic nursery, the staff are all friendly and welcoming making the environment very warm. You can see that they all genuinely care about the children in the school and they are not just there to do a job. Fantastic home-cooked meals so you know your child is being fed properly as well. I couldn’t recommend Boys and Girls nursery enough.

We highly recommend Boys and Girls Rickmansworth. We’ve got two children there currently, our son who is in pre-school and our daughter who is in the baby room. Our son comes home each day excited to tell us about what he has learnt and what friends he played with, and our daughter (a lockdown baby) has settled quicker than we ever expected. The staff are caring, attentive, supportive and have a genuine enthusiasm for the children. There have been a lot of adjustments due to Covid and we've always felt that our children are safe at Boys and Girls and that the communication in keeping us up-to-date has been fantastic.

My daughter attended Boys and Girls in Rickmansworth for two and a half years, starting in the baby room just before her 1st birthday. She spent time in each of the four rooms (Baby, Pre-Toddlers, Toddlers and Pre-School) and thoroughly enjoyed her time in each room. There were never any tears dropping her off in the morning and she always returned happy and tired at the end of the day. The food must have been good as she always ate well during the day.

The room staff were always friendly and gave a good account of her day's activity while the management and administration staff were responsive and helpful on the odd occasion where there was a need to discuss her care or her account.

On the whole, our experience was very positive and she was sad to leave and move onto her next adventure.

I have sent both my children to this nursery and would highly recommend it for their care and diligence when looking after all the children. My two thoroughly enjoyed their time there and were both sad to move on.

Our son started in the baby room at Boys & Girls Nursery Rickmansworth in August this year. With going back to work full time and having had our son with us for the whole of lockdown - I was rather worried about starting him at nursery and some of the anxiety he (and I) would feel but I needn’t have worried. Boys & Girls have been absolutely fantastic, our son thoroughly loves his time at nursery and I couldn’t feel more reassured. The staff in the baby room have shown absolute professionalism and quality care for our son. His face lights up when he sees them and every morning I drop him off, his joy and excitement at going to Nursery for the day begins. We have been really impressed with any member of staff that have worked with my son, particularly for his extra hour in the mornings. They are all very welcoming and make a big fuss of our son (which he loves). Thank you, Boys & Girls.

My daughter spent three wonderful years at Boys & Girls following her elder sister who also spent an amazing three years there. The staff are amazing the facilities as superb and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxing. My daughter has a great time there and came on so much in her personality and development. It set her up perfectly for preschool where she is now. Thanks to everyone at Boys & Girls; two of our children now through there and our son will be starting there in 2021.

We chose Boys & Girls when we moved to Rickmansworth in early 2019 primarily because it was located close to the station. Almost 2 years later, I have not regretted the decision once. It's a fantastic nursery and my son, who started in the pre-school room, loved it. The staff were brilliant - always patient and always smiling. They also made sure (at least pre-COVID) that there were loads of fun activities and excursions, and he really enjoyed the Sports Coach and French sessions. He's settled into school really well this September and that I think has a lot to do with the nursery and their efforts to prepare the children for the transition to primary school. I have already recommended the nursery to family members and would do so again.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was one year old and she is now leaving at age four years to start school in September. All of the staff from the baby room through to pre-school have been so amazing and supportive through my daughter's time there. They are highly skilled staff who all adore the children and make each child feel so special. The manager is always available to provide any advice, guidance and sometimes reassurance for anything you are concerned about. In the last three years, the nursery has always gone above and beyond to make sure our daughter and we, as parents, are happy and for that, we will always be grateful. We will really miss Boys & Girls nursery.

Our son started with Boys & Girls Nursery Rickmansworth when he was 11-months-old, and is now leaving to go to big school. He has really enjoyed being there, his key workers have been great, and he's made lots of friends. His development has been great; he comes home having learnt new things from counting to letters to French to arts and crafts. The nursery has been great with us as parents, good communication, regular newsletters, excellent during and after lockdown. I'd strongly recommend Boys & Girls.

We have loved our time with Boys & Girls and are sad to say goodbye as our daughter moves to big school. She has been there since she was ten months and has flourished into a confident and happy girl with the kind, supportive environment provided by the amazing staff. The staff are amazing and my daughter absolutely adores them all. The environment they create and the effort they put in has meant my daughter has loved the time she has spent there. Both of my boys had a fantastic time at Boys & Girls Nursery school. Both of my children are Autistic and they received all the necessary support they required while at the nursery and have had a wonderful time growing up in such a loving, caring environment. The teaching staff really provided the best for my boys and they helped them grow and made sure they had a safe and happy environment to grow. My boys always looked for the next day when they could go to school and meet friends. I would recommend this nursery school as it is the best for me and my family.
